Great, this is why Goodwill stopped selling all of the good stuff. For a company that gets all of these items for free, it’s disgusting how much they’re charging for everything.
A lot of thrift stores and second hand have to put higher prices. the problem is that people started a trend of buying items at the thrift store and then selling it online. I know people who run these kind of stores and they would like to lower the price or give things away, but all the local drug addicts who don't work come in and take everything. Then when a desperate person or family in need come, all the good stuff is gone. So they are forced to mark the prices up high. Especially when rich kids started to do it for fun, when they see other people vlogging about their new business ripping of thrift stores and selling on ebay.
@ I’m definitely not saying you’re wrong, but their logic is absolutely moronic and only causes further problems. To start, GoodWill specifically is selling these types of items at scalping price comparative to the same people who sell on places like FB Marketplace and EBay. They’re just as bad as the people you pointed out who are already problematic for the entire economy of these items. Secondly, if the argument is “we have to keep higher prices to keep the crackheads from clearing us out!” then by definition they’re artificially inflating the price, and are creating an unreasonable barrier to entry for less well off individuals anyways. They’re essentially taking the meat and leaving table scraps for the rest of us, and they’re massively profiting off of it, not being altruistic to look out for the average consumer. Goodwill use to honor their namesake, which was to allow people to have access to nice and gently used items who may otherwise not have had a means to do so, but now they’re definitively worse than your average scalper. This isn’t one jackass making a quick buck, it’s a government funded multi-billion dollar corporation profiting off of other’s generosity.
Now after watching the video I realize you are in my area LOL, the have had a GRID location in university area for years now, you should go check it out!
no that nintendo 64 was not a good price price chart has it at 204 currently if i was to honestly say a good price i would say about 150 would be a steal even 180 would be alright.
I haven’t heard or seen this yet, I hope I get one in my area
Pretty sweet

1% of the money they take in goes to people in need. Keep up the good work (goodwill).
