That is another clutch shot. He knows the crowd is waiting to erupt and if he tosses a brick it is a let down for everyone. Amazing.

Of course he made the shot. Again. Ever seem like some things are not of this world? This moment was one of them. I'll never forget it.

Once in a lifetime moment....I instantly knew this would be considered "the greatest game" of all time, and knew it would link Duke and Kentucky together forever. 26 years later those predictions looking pretty good...

Honestly, this might have been more difficult considering the pressure from the build up and get this-He not only made the shot but it was NOTHING BUT NET again! Wow!

Christian Laettner because John Elway on the Basketball Court. Just Mr Cool and he walks off A WINNER.

This shot was more stressful than the damn tourney! You have to absolutely show it wasn't a one-off (wwhich I knew it wasnt)..and what does Christian do? Nothing but goddamn net. I love it. I can tell you what I was drinking, where I was watching the game, who was there, everything. Greatness stays with you even as an observer.

Ok I cant go that far with Pistol Pete averaging 44 points per game with no 3-point line which would have made it 58 points game, so. lol

If this ain't proof that 'The Shot' was not a fluke, I don't know what possibly could be.

John Pelphrey's trash defense attempt is proof of it being a fluke. Watch the replay and watch #34. So afraid not to foul, he didn't even try to play defense.

Good thing he made that. Christian wasn’t covered. I bet he was just as happy as the original on that. Lots of pressure to recreate the moment.

I think Christian Laettner will be remembered like he was John Elway on the Basketball Court. He Always got it done when needed and Walked off DUKE into the Sunset aa A Winner like Elway did at Denver. Nothing But Respect.

I agree with all the comments here that Laettner was the greatest player in college basketball history. The accomplishments and clutch moments speak for themselves. But he’s a textbook case of the tremendous challenge of transitioning greatness in college to the pros. The almost nightly grind of an NBA season plus playoffs, as well as the constant media attention, requires a mental toughness very few have

A miss and some fool would think the real shot was luck. He had the interpretation on his legacy at stake and still said yes to K to do it. Not try it. Do it.
