Thanks for the video. My pump was a trickle, then a cannon to the ceiling after your video. Thank you a million times. Tony from Vancouver 👍

Thanks. Cleaned mine just now after watching your video. Float got stuck so the motor kept on running. Opened it up and cleaned it thoroughly with hot water and vinegar.

Did you check those yellow wires to the pump side while disconnected, with a multimeter to insure that they have continuity? And then fill the tank with water and see that wires are now open circuit, ie no continuity. If this test is not done the switch may be bad and you wouldn’t know. Remember that there are two floats. One that turns the pump on and the other that opens the switch connecting the two yellow wires. Testing scope must include both floats.

After my husband cleaned the pump it worked for about four hours. Then it just started to go on and off on and off constantly. Is it possible that he connected the wiring wrong? Would the pump be going on and off because of a clogged line? TY. BTW GREAT VIDEO

Ever since it’s been running constantly he did try hot water with a bit of bleach to see if that would unclog or dislodge the float in case it was stuck.

I have a great solution to a clogged pump! Just connect your 120 volt pump to the 230 volt service, or use a 120v to 230v step-up autotransformer and watch it blow the snot out of any clog! Another great idea, lbroght to you by the guy who came up with the toothbrush-strapped-to-an-electric drill retrofit.

Help, please. I just got my CP-22 Series Automatic Condensate Pump and swapped out the old pump for the new (same company). It was an easy install. I filled the tank to test it and turned on the power BUT the Alarm light is on and won't go off. The Power light (green) is on, the Alarm light (red) is on, and the Run light (amber) is on. But the pump won't pump. In the back of the pump I even switched the two wires at the end of the yellow wires thinking those might have been reversed. But nothing I do works. The pump is level. But it doesn't work. Let me know if I should return it to Amazon of is this a simple fix.

Try taking the yellow wires off the pump

@@MiHeatingGuy I just now tried your suggestion and the same lights are on and the pump is not working. I'll call the company tomorrow using the phone number they give. If that doesn't work I'll return it to Amazon. My HVAC installer who discovered my old pump had failed gave me an estimate of $395.85 AFTER $70 "member savings" to replace the pump. When they called about whether I wanted to accept the estimate I told them I would replace it myself. He understood and agreed it that would be a reasonable DIY project. And it should be. Thanks.
