I love how Hades always seems to be the only god who gets the villain treatment even though alot of the other Gods/godesses have done really messed up stuff in mythology. Hades isn't really bad if you compare him to others in mythology

Though we did kind of gave it a yelling about the complete distortion of Greek Mythology.
Hades was actually the good guy for the most part
That’s judeo chrisitan influence: hades isn’t any worse than the other gods, but he is linked to the underworld as the devil is in christianity, ergo he has to be as bad as the devil
For the most part, he wasn't a bad guy in the Xena/Hercules universe.
@@thomaslecomte1570 I still get confused with the function of Hell in Judeo-Christianity. It was meant to be Satan's realm as he seperated from God as a fallen angel but is also considered his prison? But with how frequently Satan can appear back on Earth it's a pretty lousy prison if you ask me. And why are sinful being punished in the realm of the ultimate sinful one when Satan m probably has an army to build for the end of times and whatnot? Are God's workers such as angels punishing those souls? Or the demons of Hell? The latter sounds super counter intuitive and the former sounds like it would be breaching some sort of truce or something.
His introduction in this scene is no joke one of my favorite scenes in this game. I just love of chilled and casual he is. So funny
Not to mention, "I got a place for you DOWN UNDER!" is such a badass line.
5:48 One thing I love about this game is how when you beat a boss the slow motion takes a second as apposed to immediately doing it.

I think it’s because I’m mythology the titans were stronger than the Greek gods, because the only way they beat the titans was by teaming up
I never thought I'd say this about Donald, but he is one point with his Curaga's for once.
Probably the worst part of this boss is just how much fucking health he has. I mean seriously, I think he's at least on equal standing with sephiroth.

For those of you saying Donald can't heal for shit, just look at this teamwork. OP heals Donald, Donald heals both Goofy and you. And Goofy gives that good MP Gift for Donald. All depends on how you set him.
Default settings Donald just wastes all his mp on offense. After Ursula I set him to mostly cast defensive spells like Aero and Cure and found him much more useful
@@DoctorKidemonas once he gets both of those and goofy gets mp gift they become a battery for the whole group
There's a reason I heal him first.
Yeah you have to customize them, they were really helpful when I change some things

This fight was one of my favorites in this game. I had a lot of fun fighting the lord of the dead.

so I'm not sure if this was intentional or not, but I was able to beat hades on my first time in proud mode (first playthrough). Hades almost never targets donald or goofy (he did it like once or twice) and was entirely focused on doing his flamethrower hands in front of him. I basically just kept running around the stage in a circle and mashing the "attack command" for the partners. Donald and Goofy were persistent enough to catch up and take pot shots at hade's back through the entire time that hades was trying to chase me down. The only issue was when hades does the finger snap/"heh" attack from afar. First maleficent can be cheesed with this strategy, and now hades. For the two more powerful members of the Disney villain group, they sure have a stupidly easy way to beat them. The cloud/leon fight before this was definitely harder (at around the same stats shown in the video)
heck even ice titan was harder then Hades and Maleficent xd

Press Triangle while targeting enemies and your party members will literally go after them.

The hardest Disney Villain boss. But of course, he is hilarious and fun to fight against, being HADES!
When Hades says: "Feel the heat!", and starts to use his Temper Flare attack make sure you continually use Dodge Roll to avoid the rotating flames.
*Heat level intensifies*
You don't even get to fight Hades until Maleficent is dead and the Villain Council is gone. It's like he's just there to make a last stand or something.

@@thecrazedpotatoman I don't think Hades is afraid of Sora. He just doesn't care about Maleficent's goal and prefers to focus on killing Hercules.
Hades is pretty tough in this game but he's a total chump in KH2. The same is true for Cerberus.
Agreed on Hades, but Cerberus is harder in kh2 than in kh1, just never had any trouble with the puppeh here. Couple tries in kh2 my first play though.

What's weird is that I actually did beat Hades in this game on my first try but it was a very close battle.
SolarDragon007 I was like 12 to be fair, but still had no problems in the first game, was actually upset Cerberus was so easy. He hits like a train in kh2 though... lol. Half of the hp bar gone per hit. If it weren't for the dogpaddle reaction command idk if I would have ever beat him when I was younger. Lol.
He's harder in the original KH with no leaf bracers this guy would have died when he accidentally cured Donald.

I found this fight interesting because you don’t really see what Hades could do in the movie. He should have some souls attack you or something.
In Disney's version he's more the curator of the dead, he doesn't control them, they just end up in the afterlife and Hades runs the underworld to keep it in order.
It was probably a decision because having him use necromancy was to dark for a Disney movie (despite the black cauldron existing) so gave him fire powers as a compromie

3) The undead spirits he likes to torment in the Underworld. Though I can't imagine why they would be up there in the coliseum.

I like how sora moves or dodges the fire and donald and goofy just stand there thats why I just stopped giving them potions or ethers for that reason 🤣😂

SAD FACT; if donald/goofy is in the way of you reflecting his (“that’s it”) fireball it’ll knock em out 😭
Shelby Rainwater It's incredible how much of a nuisance the party members can be in this game. Goofy's charge sometimes will knock enemies away from you after you parried their attack, denying you the combo.
Reflection those fireballs back at him is always funny

Ah yes but back in the day when he says feel the heat he would throw a fireball at you, in the final mix version he just does the two fires on the side which is easy to avoid

Aqua took on Hades alone, and Hades had an Ice Titan for back up, too.
Lol, Its kinda a joke though considering you can spam her cartwheel dodge and be invincible.
This Hades was stronger at this point. But still, this was just the first adventure for Sora and he had to battle all of this with no preparation at all like Aqua had.
Sora has defeated Aqua in single combat.
Hades and maleficent are the only disney villians I give 2 shites about in this game

Andres Anata It could be Cerberus or the Heartless, the villains getting defeated by their own darkness is a common trope in this game. Maleficent even warns Hades about it after you beat Cerberus.
