Britain's great Eric Burdon and America's great Jon Bon Jovi - two of rock 'n roll's greatest heroes, working perfectly together. Fantastic! It's great to see Eric looking so good after all these years since his days with The Animals and then as Jimi Hedrix's manager. What an inspiration!
It's my life and I do what I want. It's my mind and I think what I want. Oahh we used to sing this out loud, biking home after having partyed all night long hoping to wake up the neighbourhood, lol so many many years ago, such a sweet memory, you have to love Eric Burdon.... at least I do.
I just love Eric Burdon, always did, still do. Old soldiers never die. and you know what, he still looks cute too. He is just fantastic, hope is performing in Holland soon, would love to see him in a life concert.
I noticed how much Jon Bon Jovi looks like Pro Wrestler & singer Chris Jerico. You all can catch Chris on Monday Night WWE RAW,Smack Down & The Main Event & Chris' wrestling name is YJ2. Fab & gear video boy Eric has aged really well for his age & Jon looks handsome as ever. Thanks for uploading this fab & gear video. Cheers: Christine V. Berndt
Yes, but in the late 60ties and 70ties he was a legend in Holland, hit all the charts in our country, thank god, we had such good times and parties on his music...
I've seen Eric Burden both solo and with the Animals reunion in the 80s. He is one of the best performers I've ever seen. The leaping gnome has a helluva powerful voice.
Just remeber Bon Jovi started covering these songs during the Jersey tour and also performed them during MTV Unplugged session in 91/92. And since Eric Burdon has joined Jon and the boys on stage many times since. Really don't understand all the hatred towards Bon Jovi for this performance, sure it weren't perfect but at least acceptable and that's in reguards to both artists. Btw not a just a Jovi fan but a music fan in general and have loved both those Animal songs for years. Love the music
femsual, I sadly have to agree that eric's singing is a sad reflection of what he once was. I too loved him back in the '60's. "Cute, sexy and raw" was right--he had a certain wolfish, earthy quality to him that was irresistable then. He's still earthy! He just blew his voice.
Do not compete, just add; there will be more pleasure, and that's what's all about our dear R&R.\ Don't let the system preach you or indoctrinate you. And rock and roll till the very end!!!!
Bring up "Sky Pilot" on You Tube- Eric Burdon was standing in front of me at my friend's rock club about to go on in a bit and I said "Mr. Burdon, you're the best." He turned around, looked at me,and said "Thank you." Standing next to me was the drummer from Frigid Pink- Burdon saw him, jumped on him in a big bear hug and they talked in front of me for over half an hour but I couldn't hear a thing because the warm up band was so loud- But I got to meet him-
..1995 Cleveland Rock n Roll Hall of Fame weekend (Springsteen,Fogerty, Dylan, Crow, Jerry lee Lewis, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Allman Bros. and many more in this 27 song monster show)
Hmm... well I'll take that back then. I almost got to see him, but I didn't. So I'll probably not know. His voice seemed good on the studio albums few years back.
Ms JollyCholly, Why do you have no favorites on your site? Where's the commitment, dear? How deep is your love of music? Compare with one of my two sites. Either this one or dethiefotime. Peace twice.
@monkeybone9696 All of the mixes with the entertainers were arranged before the concert. It was I great show. I saw Check Berry and Jerry Lee Lewis. Bob Dylan. What a great day! Hey I even loved Iggy Pop.
Ofcourse you are right, I am not familiar with Steve Cropper, but Booker T, Otis Redding and Sam and Dave I grew up with. In dutch we say: ere wie ere toekomt, wich means something as credits for whom that deserves it.
I agree with you. But, Eric still has to make a living so I don't begrudge him the chance to do the only thing he knows how to do. The early EB was one of the best rockers ever!!! At least BJ showed him some respect!
@MsJollycholly Well, I can't be 55 again since I'm 57. Being a guy, I suppose some instinctive defensiveness jumped into action at hearing (or maybe imagining that I had heard) one of my heroes attacked. I guess when I think of burned out I think of inactive, defeated, finished. But here he is on stage. He's not a kid anymore, his voice is gone, but he can still awake an old memory or spark curiosity in younger rockers. This is not "burned out" in my book. No offense. Peace.
search under burdon and check out early vids... his voice is the definition of powerful.... kind of lousy sound from that stage, and of course he's much older...but no-one had a voice like his...
I see at least 3 legends, first there is Eric Burdon, then there is Richie Sanborra, and JBJovi aint singing that bad, so let them who don't like it watch something else, there must be a lot of other sh*t for them here on You Tube
not the same it's like he's trying to reclaim his glory day's but those days are gone and your not the same and oh yes bon jovi uses Duracell to power his guitar
I am so glad to see Eric Burdon still alive and kicking!!! Thanx for posting
What a performance! That is brilliant...thank you.
:O I'm speechless!!! Wow! Great voices! Thank you sooo much!

I just love this video! Jon looks great! They both sound good together. I remember seeing this on TV. way back then . Still Rocks!
one of the best get together of artists ever!
It's my life and I do what I want.

Wow! What a power! What voices! Fantastic document! Thank you very much!
Wow, I love it!
Jon looks so cute with his hair and his dancing!
Your right on the money. LAso, i had forgotton how many hit song Eric had. He is one of the best rockers.
perfect blend - hot version!
Much respect to the legend that is Eric Burdon. You are great!
Have not seen or heard this---it's wonderful :) thank you!
OMG---I would of never thought these guys would be together on stage! very cool
2024 ❤
I've seen Eric Burden both solo and with the Animals reunion in the 80s. He is one of the best performers I've ever seen. The leaping gnome has a helluva powerful voice.
Eric...one of a kind entertainer.... his history from 1964 on proves it.
I watched this live on TV that night!
Just remeber Bon Jovi started covering these songs during the Jersey tour and also performed them during MTV Unplugged session in 91/92.

I actually like recordings I've heard from the 80s and well.. I like this video too. Sounds good to me.
Do not compete, just add; there will be more pleasure, and that's what's all about our dear R&R.\
Don't let the system preach you or indoctrinate you. And rock and roll till the very end!!!!
Hey good stuff
That Rocks and they both Loved what they were doing---!!!!
love this!
Estasiante! Impressionante!
I still get the chills when I listen to Eric Burdon..
Many people dislike Bon Jovi for being too pop but how can they deny the quality of his performance here?
Eric has a dominating voice!
SUPER!!!!!

Eric Burdon dominates!

Punk Rock!!
..1995 Cleveland Rock n Roll Hall of Fame weekend (Springsteen,Fogerty, Dylan, Crow, Jerry lee Lewis, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Allman Bros. and many more in this 27 song monster show)
Hell Yes!
...just a different approach...eric b. it's already a legend, jon bon jovi will be one in no time...so,enjoy the music...no need to argue!
Mos amores los amo
Hmm... well I'll take that back then.
I almost got to see him, but I didn't. So I'll probably not know. His voice seemed good on the studio albums few years back.
Bon Jovi moved me for the first time - he's fucking hot
Ms JollyCholly, Why do you have no favorites on your site? Where's the commitment, dear? How deep is your love of music? Compare with one of my two sites. Either this one or dethiefotime. Peace twice.
Yes
Play it, Steve!...Cropper!!
@monkeybone9696 All of the mixes with the entertainers were arranged before the concert. It was I great show. I saw Check Berry and Jerry Lee Lewis. Bob Dylan. What a great day! Hey I even loved Iggy Pop.
ERIC FOR EVER...!!!!!
Ofcourse you are right, I am not familiar with Steve Cropper, but Booker T, Otis Redding and Sam and Dave I grew up with.
In dutch we say: ere wie ere toekomt, wich means something as credits for whom that deserves it.
@newaccountdebzbd right on, and it shows his music was timeless
Right John, you tried, but the truth is that Eric took over that stage!
@photopicker lol and they got about 15 of em... there should be an open spot somewhere...thinking of trying out myself..
It's just great to watch some good video and hear some great rock and roll instead of some of the horrid SHIT out there!
I agree with you. But, Eric still has to make a living so I don't begrudge him the chance to do the only thing he knows how to do. The early EB was one of the best rockers ever!!! At least BJ showed him some respect!
Eric Burdon is a genius. He and the animals are so fuckin underated its not even funny.
iradissima
..did you mean..how they had to watch as they performed..steering clear of it without looking down at it?..Nice one Eric!
comentário afrescalhado esse hein.
I agree, but still nice Jovi gives him a place next to him on stage.
Well don't watch it then, cause we love it, go watch something else and have fun...
Why not!!
Eric Burdon is the best!!
Hello
Burdon rocking a wallet chain! Boom!
That was May or June of 1982
the part that I found interesting, was how similarly Jon and Eric moved around on the stage
bwahahaha!! now that's comedy.
@monkeybone9696
YES
One of those guys is a rock star!! .... the other is Bon Jovi....
@MsJollycholly Burned out? Are you in your mid fifties, as he is here? No? Well, when you are, remember your words: burned out.
search under burdon and check out early vids...
his voice is the definition of powerful....
kind of lousy sound from that stage, and of course he's much older...but no-one had a voice
like his...
Hey!! Give EB a break here.... Old rockers have to pay bills too you know!!
@StyrofoamKup - agree.
steve cropper?
Yes, Bon Jovi shows more vocal skill here; but Burdon was one of the great early rockers, so he's treated differently.
Not the best collaboration I've seen Eric do. Two different vocal ranges. Still. . it's always good to see the great ol' Animal himself on stage.
Clearly you're a bonjovi fan.
Scuse me????? What are you talking about?
BJ coat tailin on Eric Burdon..Burdon wipes his ass with the likes of Bon Jovi.
he is born on 1941
@Nicholsable
@fiendwithoutaface66 jon sang this before, search before bullshittin
Jonni boy should be embarrassed. No soul. Even today Eric Burdon's voice cuts right through me.
I see at least 3 legends, first there is Eric Burdon, then there is Richie Sanborra, and JBJovi aint singing that bad, so let them who don't like it watch something else, there must be a lot of other sh*t for them here on You Tube
I must disagree. Bon Jovi's excitment at playing with Burdon is apparent. I think Eric Burdon is a Legend but John Bon Jovi is a great Talent
not the same it's like he's trying to reclaim his glory day's but those days are gone and your not the same and oh yes bon jovi uses Duracell to power his guitar
Shit! I think that song is actually too bad ass for Bon Jovi
eric is born on 1941
ohnono..did bon jovi kidnap eric burdon and force him to do this...
Well, he's old
Bon Jovi pales in comparison to the greatness of Eric Burdon's voice and stage presence.
Sure looks like an easy gig playing guitar in that band ...
You can't be serious. lol
Jon barely even knew the lyrics, slipped up a lot.
Eric hasn't sounded good since the 60s.
Jhon Still rocks but this not his style
WTF is Bon Jovi doing? Does he think he's singing a '90s crap metal song? Eric is still great, thank Goddess he's still out there.
eric is older but rocks much better than jon
ok eric burdon cool but bon jovi just sucks
