Always interesting to see new stuff. When I see the price tag it gives me inspiration for how to better use my OLD stuff.
Ha.. Ha.. Ha.. 😂 Me too
Roger that puntabachata
🤔....😂
Yes you have a point, i think one can used this as a motivation to tweak & improve your skills with the available tools your have
😅😊😊
I worked with Jeff (the inventor of Rip- It) on Maui. He is a great carpenter and a wonderful human being, I hope for the success of his company.
Puts a smile on my face to see young guys that are trying to revolutionize the woodworking field and starting their own business. Bravo. That fence looks amazing.
yes but that wire hanging down from it wont last long in my shop.
@@je-fq7ve good point. hopefully they read these and do something before it goes into production
As they say on Shark tank, "its a licensing deal waiting to happen"!
That Rip-It fence looks cool as all get-out!
I was thinking the fence was a pretty useless considering it takes about 3 seconds to adjust a fence that is calibrated. What did you see in this fence that made you think it was something that people would need?
@@shaynesabala stupid accurate
@@shaynesabalaI liked the idea the guy had about preloading a cut list over a Bluetooth app
What I want to know is how good the fence travels on its own after a few cuts with all manner of saw dust all over the table. Kid says it’ll work fine but I want a pretty-bad case scenario demonstration, especially if we’re talking about a preloaded cut list and some automation
FINALLY RZ fixed it so you dont have to replace those valves. Those were a HUGE PITA! Going to buy one now!
I signed up to the Kickstarter for the RipFence…hopefully they make it!
Rip it! WTAF! Brilliant!
Pretty wild what money can get you now. We’ve had some amazing tools in the past, but these could make a beginner woodworker look like a pro
IMO, these are more suited to improving quality of life/work for a pro. More output, less downtime.
Well because less and less people are learning the trade so they need to keep noobs in the trade with technology that don't know anything/ the ones that don't care to learn anything, but still want a job without cutting off fingers.

Thanks for the ride along . Could you serve some iced tea unsweetened the next time we ride the 731 tour bus? . You a great driver as well as a tour guide .I am bringing a tip for ya
THAT FENCE! Is gonna be a hit! I need one wow!
That rip it fence is absolutely awesome. HOWEVER the price tag is ridiculous
some good stuff......the table Saw Fence....nice
I need to make a cut. Hold on, I need to reboot my fence.
Not if it is running native code...
The crown moulding jig is really great.
That tablesaw fence looks awesome.
That fence will definitely be a time saver especialy if that cut list is added. 🤔
#2 is from afar my favorite one, even without the cut list feature. It is an amazing help. There is another guy who automated his table saw fence using a step motor and an arduino. Very accurate also.
It's a pity the fence is so low.
@@JayDee-xj9luThat's pretty easy to resolve though. I often use a house-made taller fence for jigs and such. This has the benefit of not needing an adjustable tape scale.
amazing fantastic outstanding mind-blowing super
It's super interesting to see that invis jointer system used for the intended purpose. I've only seen it used to open certain locks
Wow amazing inventions…
*I use to own a picture-framing company in California and had a V nail equipment. But that Joinery machine is so much better and faster.*
I grew up with PM/PS,Ofcourse with distant learning though, wood working was a past time hobby.
Now American Wood Working is out of my reach, but only I can say it's Amazing!
Excellent choice of products to highlight... great value with each of them! Thankyou!
I would absolutely Love to get my hands on that Fence system
Damn. That auto fence will make things so easy!
Thanks!
Thanks!
Becky is just 😍😍😍 awesome
Looks like a fun show, thanks for sharing it Matt.
Everything in this video was very cool. Fun to see new technologies coming to the market. 👍🏾
Good job Matt! A couple of those might be worth trying. Thanks!!
It looks like a great venue Matt. I would love to see more, especially the new Milwaukee half inch cordless router. Thank you.
So cool, would love to get some of them
Thanks for bringing the show to our screens :) Happy to see your channel growing!
#1 I've had a Hoffman Bowtie machine since about 2006 (?). They are very useful. You can use them on but joinery too for tight welds.
awesome reporting
The only thing that was funnier than AWFS was meeting u guys at AWFS ... hopefully cya next year too !!
I can see the first one paying for itself really quickly
Wow some very cool tools love the one that makes the joints for frames
Strong Presentation! TY
Love the T-Shirt!!!!!
The automatic fence is neat…
Those machines are awesome Matt. 😊
oh ! Big Wow !!! next level woodworking
Amazing good
Matt thanks so much for pointing out all the new technology at the AWSF convention. We were there but had to cut it short due to moving so I didn't get a chance to see all the stuff.
Make sure you point out the shark router table that thing is way cool
Very cool tools. Thanks Man!
*I'm going to have to buy that Joinery machine for my 3D artwork.* *It will allow me to be more creative with my frames to match the artwork.*
I've had the Crown system for at least a decade. Saw it a wood show and did my entire house in a weekend, make it so simple.
that fence and that molding jig pretty cool
Great Video !!
Thanks!
Pretty interesting stuff , thanks!
Used the first 3 regularly at Mg cabinets in StMalo, Manitoba. Nice modern little custom shop!
Cool Stuff!!
The indivisible jointer system is pretty sweet!
An earlier version of the "Rip-It-Fence was offered on Kickstarter in 2018 but didn't reach the funding needed.
Starrett has a protractor that tells you you what to set both angles at and lay the moulding flat. Measure it, set the saw, and cut. Perfect miter.
Cutting crown on the flat is a more time consuming method because you constantly have to change the mitre and bevel of the saw
Great video! A lot of great ideas to make life so much easier. And it looks like Tigerstop is going to have some serious competition from those Rip-It boys. All the at home DIYers are gonna have them fences flying off the shelves!
Tigerstop has nothing on rip it!!
Hoffman joinery....those HAVE to be the most expensive screws in the world.
very cool exciting
Those are cool as a fan!
That cnc fence is nutty.
OK....now I have to buy the new RZ Mask. Thanks for posting.
I'm glad Rip-it Fence actually listened. I emailed them a while back asking if they could make their touch screen dark mode (this model had a white screen a few months ago) as I personally have extreme difficulty reading white screens. I'm legally blind so that's the reason why. Using a table saw fence is an absolute nightmare. I'm still relatively new in woodworking and have many decades ahead of me to refine my abilities and I hope to one day get my hands on one of them. At a bit over $1500 msrp, it's something out of my price range currently but I'm glad to know that it'll work for me when I do eventually get one.
Oh, Rip-It, if you read this comment, can you please add a method to attach the Jessem Stock Guides to your fence? I did email you guys about that and i was informed that the top of the fence is aluminum. Thus, you can't use the mag-switch method of attaching them which is my prefered method as it makes quick removal for jigs much easier if necessary. Plus, many aren't comfortable drilling holes into their fence.
That crown molding jig ideal is amazing. I would have purchased one, but $50 + $25 shipping is too much. I will continue to use my old homemade jig..😅
We already had the automatic and digital adjustment of the side stop thirty years ago in German carpentry shops.
Love the Hoffman and Rip-it products. Anyone else find the EZ mask uncomfortable around the nose? I bought a couple while the two for one, but rarely use it since it is very uncomfortable to wear.
Dang that magnetic screw system has been around for YEARS crazy to see it so pricey actually..
My wife's uncle had a business using that system (and also selling it) here in Norway - must have been 15 years ago if not more. Interesting system, but pricey, plus a few years down the line, who's going to remember it was used (the next guy will probably just assume it was glued together using dowels or something).
Dude!
It's so weird that I JUST tagged you in that electronic tablesaw fence on Facebook a day or 2 ago. You were already playing with it 😂
lol I saw that. I saw this fence last week at AWFS in Vegas. Very cool tech!
Invis: What wizardry is this?
Mask and the fence are awesome WOW!
Hoffman
I walked the AWFS floor 3 times and I never saw the Rip-it Fence guys. It would have been nice to talk with them.
Matt - Love the channel and all the great new tools. You promote tool crack and I'm adducted. I can't wait to see / buy what you have come up with. This one my friend was a bit off topic. For the most part not consumer tools, which I think, is your core audience. Swing back to you core viewers. We really love what you do!
I want that Rip It Fence!
Shut up and take my money!!!
I've had the cut-n-crown jigs since 2006
Thanks for the information. Where and when is this fair held?
It's in Las Vegas. Every 2 years in late July. Usually around 114 degrees!
The auto adjusting fence looks nice, but there are alot of small moving parts. Don't know how long it will last, with all the fine saw dust.
There's an amazing amount of gap in that router-cut bow-tie joint.
Those are pretty cool! I like the fence and the RZ mask best of all.
On the fence, did I understand correctly that you can purchase the 52” and cut it down to fit a shorter length?
Yes that’s what they said for now.
I was at ATL last year and wanted the 1st piece of equipment you showed. GREAT tool for my frames!! Just too pricey.
Great for someone running a busy framing shop, it'll pay for itself in no time at all.
What does a dowel and mallet can't do over the expensive invisible Invis does?
I have been wanting to build a fence like that for myself... Pretty sure I don't want to pay for that one. It will cost more than my saw.
It needs a few things though for manual use.
It needs physical buttons for commonly performed actions. Nudge the cut a little deeper or less so by .005 per press. Buttons to cut dados. One that moves the right distance to make the second cut at the board width, and then incremental cuts through the center by a blade width.
A button for metric/inch toggle.
This show always makes me think of the phrase "solutions for problems that don't exist."
Not true
@@daveklein2826 You do realize that saying can be used to say a product is superfluous and also used to point out an issue that you never knew you had that is valid, right? Meaning that I could be using either meaning and by you assuming the one I'm intending, you're actually projecting your own sub-conscious thoughts, right?
where can I get the drilling jig @6:55 from?
6:00 stumpynubs i think it was did a video on this a few years ago.
Anyone can do it with a machine, but I feel that one is a craftsman and artisan if they can do it by hand
For the Ez mask how much use for the filters before replacing
Until they are dirty
Rip itfence Interesting , The fence itself needs to be taller clearly not designed by a cabinetmaker. And yes I saw the slot in the face. Didn't show the amount of flex at the end of the fence, maybe nothing. After being a cabinetmaker for 40 yrs. I'm weighting for the next version.
So… who’s going to break it to the crown moulding guy that Kreg made that jig a long time ago? Been using it for years.
the fence is a cool idea. a little expensive and it should really have a large t-square base to make it rigid. it just looks like itd be super flimsy. i dont wanna pay $1200 for a harbor freight quality fence.
That fence may demo well but I doubt it would last 5 minutes in a busy shop, wire hanging off it, fragile touch screen, it would probably end up being more of an annoyance once the novelty wears off, it if actually lasts that long.
Looks good, but the plastic gear definitely needs to be metal
Not really
I've been a bit surprised that with CNC tech becoming more widely available that we haven't seen something like the Rip-It fence show up before. I suspect the answer is that the incremental benefit over a well-tuned conventional fence is actually somewhat minimal. Dialing in a fence to provide acceptable accuracy doesn't really seem to be a barrier. And, if exact reproducibility is needed there's always the Incra.
Where I do think CNC tech is interesting is in router tables. Shark has a CNC controlled router table that has interactive wizards to guide you through multi-step operations like box joints and dovetails which IMHO is much more of a value-add than a table saw fence.
I think it's a pretty common feature on big sliding saws. I'd love to have one, but compared to a DRO on my existing fence that's just a steep price
Any industrial size sliding saw less than 5-10 years old pretty much have it, we dont see it cause its an industrial grade product. That finally trickles down to small shops and hobby people.
Now what I'm REALLY jealous of from the industrial saws is the computerized height adjustment. It's pretty easy to nail fence position with a DRO or an incra setup, but installing a DRO on the height adjustment in most table saws is a lot trickier
@@tehbieber not to mention back breaking to adjust tilt too.
@@arcrin100 oh god I would kill to be able to just hit a "zero" button and not have to do the song and dance moving my square back and forth between the two sides of the blade, scrutinizing whether I'm imagining that light between the blade and the square, if I'm on a tooth, if I've got the square flat against the cast iron
I'd like to know how sensitive the auto-fence is. With my T-fence I can just gently tap to sneak up, and we are talking two hair-lengths at a time, so how sensitive is that fence? Can it move 1/128 or 1/256? I'll have to check out there page. If I can't micro adjust, then it seems like a professional, cabinet shop kind of tool only. That's fine, and it would work well in mass production/industrial level stuff, where you are just needing nice, clean numbers, but for fine woodworking you have to have that "light tap" level of adjustment.
Looks like it is $1,300. That is definitely pro-cabinet shop level pricing. Oh well. It still looks super cool.
I guess RZ with the M3 mask will get a letter from 3M one of the nearby days..
I saw it on the jointer add, As morbid as some might see it, building your own casket would save your family one more decision and hassle. 5300 isn’t bad for that machine. I’m about to tackle some plantation shutters and that would sure be faster than domino
A jig with pictures that have a patent. Your right, never saw that being sold
Can we get it in Canada yet???
Some of these tools are pretty amazing. Great video and content
