That would be ironic, because the chinese government did everything to destroy traditional combat based kung fu, turning it in large (but not all - thank god) into a joke!
Yes, under dictator Mao’s Olympic committee combat kung fu was asimulated and codified into more of a show and joke. However, the Chinese government is incredibly interested in preserving the joke style kung fu, Chigong and tai chi that is popular in it’s sports universities.
@mastersleib They glorify everything Chinese when it suites them. Communist China has gone slightly to the 'Right' and has entered into the Fascist mode where some private corporations are allowed to operate under strict government controls. However, the bosses are the same and so are their policies that are ironically encouraged by international bankers and corporations who are pushing Leftism all over the Western Hemisphere!
Why didn't they use a professional to judge in the first place? This is ridiculous. It's even hard to believe how Xu Xiaodong accepted that it was a draw. :D Thanks for the video.
Xu "accepted" it probably because he trusts people to use their own eyes and see how ridiculous the ruling was. And they didn't use a professional because it was pure propaganda. The event wouldn't have even occurred if a professional judge was going to be involved.

Mwahahahahahahaha!!! That judge's commentary was priceless!!! Everybody is a winner! I have had no many conversations like that here in China. No one will ever admit they are wrong. Bu xin! There are so many screwy fights here. Like the time my freind Marcus Waters beat Jumabieke Tuerxun with a flying armbar in an MMA fight back in 2009 in Xi'an. I was there ringside. It was awesome- but then the judges declared Juma the winner anyway. Every single fight on that card went down that way, but that was the most extreme example.
The judge actually followed Mortal Kombat rules. If Ding Hao didn`t fall on acid, flames or spikes, neither had his spine ripped off from his body and stayed alive after the fight, of course it's a draw.

It wasn't a draw... Look if it was just them 2 fighting to the death. We all know who would win. This HOST needs to look at it that way. I put you in a Armbar submission in a Turnament or a Ring means I put you in a Armbar submission in the street, so that means I could break your arm and kill you. FIGHTS OVER 👊🏾
The interviewer definitely should have asked him "How many throw downs or take downs would Xiu have needed in order for him to be the victor?" or "How hard would Xiu needed to beat the guy up in order for him to win?"
Here's a standard by which we can judge who won- If the ref has to jump in and shield you from your opponent like he's ur mommy, then you lost. No mommies in fighting!
You didn't notice that this man (wing-chun guy) has developed a technique in Which he can block a punch using his Face and the Judges are Soooooooo aware of that.. therefore every punch landed on his face was considered as Blocked shot.
Lol, how was it a draw if the ref stopped the match because Xu Xiaodong was destroying Ding Hao? The ref stopping the match implied that Xu won, why would it go to the judge's decision?
Say what you want, but I totally think it was a draw too. Ding Hao gave it as good as he got. There was a spot there where Ding Hao absolutely pummeled his opponent's fists with his face.
the problem is that he is a professional...he performed a skilled task in exchange for money...the definition of being a pro. I think he should have said "I'm incompetent"

Respect to all people who train in any martial arts for the love of the art, but not all of them were made to be effective in combat. This phony judge needs to accept that and move on. I am sure Wing Chun has many great techniques that work well in a fight, but the martial arts by itself will only go so far.
Hell, this actually reminds me of my high school days, when two guys were in a fight and one was bloody, almost unconsciousness lying down on the ground, could barely move. The other guy was standing over him. The best friend of the guy who was lying down all bloody and punch drunk said, the fight was a draw. lol
In middle school, one of my friends pinned a dude to a vending machine and was about to pound him into the machine before the fight was stopped. But all the friends of the loser said that he won against my friend. Hilarious psychology of people.
"I'm not an expert so I won't make that decision" I also not an expert, and my wife also not an expert, wait let me get my parents, yep they also not experts. But we all agree Xu win big time!
Jerry the video of Xu from the other day with him talking about leaving the country, people said it was all a joke and he was being sarcastic? I think there is some truth in his jest. What do you think?
I think ref glasses were not good enough. It wasn't his fault he couldn't see properly. Anyone with good vision agrees that the kung fu guy had the shit beaten out of him but not the poor ref.
For years and years I trained and taught various kinds of effective fighting methods. My students are police officers, prison guards and some of fought in mixed martial arts events and grappling events in Phoenix, back in the day, where I had my school. None of them have ever complained about the results. They are all still alive. I divided my methods into various categories to suit the goals of students. To my surprise everyone wanted the combat method. The first day they learned to put on a boxing wrap and hit things very hard. Then they were taught a defensive method and ground grappling. These methods and ways were ALL derived from old methods that you and so many others now ridicule. I find these fights disgusting. Even great young MMA fighters lose and get hurt and fall down, why are you so surprised and disrespectfull of all these old men and their proud old methods. There is nothing fake about it. It is great. It is the foundation culture of many wonderful people in China, Japan....etc. Why even practice if all you can get out of it is killing, fakes and hurting others? Why even call it an Art if there is nothing beautiful to learn and keep.
The old saying from American and British boxers fighting abroad in certain countries with dubious judging was "knock him out to get a draw". This exemplifies that completely. This was a single sided thrashing, man v boy. There was no fight, Xu simply blew his opponent away. The guy with the glasses has done well to keep a straight face, as has the interviewer as that is the biggest joke of a decision you will ever see in any combat sport match-up.

*Imagine this!*
*Xu kills his opponent and judge says it is a draw because he didn't kill him fast enough ;)*
Why didn't they use a professional to judge in the first place? This is ridiculous. It's even hard to believe how Xu Xiaodong accepted that it was a draw. :D Thanks for the video.
Because a professional wouldnt be able to get a proper job afterwards when he's so obviously intimidated/bought.
do you really need a professional to say who won this fight when it is obvious who won and who lost.
Xu "accepted" it probably because he trusts people to use their own eyes and see how ridiculous the ruling was.
And they didn't use a professional because it was pure propaganda. The event wouldn't have even occurred if a professional judge was going to be involved.
This interview is so hilarious .... Kafkaesque, but hilarious ... unless you're Xu Xiaodong in which case you're entitled to feeling robbed :)
Who's Kafka?
A superb interviewer, he really kept pushing against the post modernist alternative facts.
And even this expert interviewer almost lost it in the middle. He almost burst out laughing.
BTW how is this interviewer always so pro Xu Xiaodong? Is he not from Mainland China maybe? Or is he just that brave as well?
That's not postmodernism. You need to quit Jordan Peterson videos.
@@wgjung1 never seen a Jordan Peterson video in my life, cannot stand the prick.

"Surrender, you have no weapons and you are completely surrounded, there is literally no chance of survival if you refuse!" . . . . "Here is my counter offer, we'll call it a draw." The judge learned too much from the Black Knight on Monte Python
One day John Wick shot me and didnt killed me... It was a tie
john wick shot me and killed me but i 'rose' from the dead into heaven, it was a tie.
wait, whatcha been up to that has john wick emptyin' clips in2 ya in the 1st place, bud?
+4 on Uno
The mere facts that you are standing in front of John wick makes it a draw !
Fourth installment John Wick: You're Breathtaking.
The ref is the real winner here. He avoided the question better then Ding Hao avoided Xu Xiaodong's punches.
Totally!
Ramsey Dewey Because the Chinese government is racist and EVIL! Nixon should have NEVER started up trade relations with the communists.
*That guy is definietly an expert in debating though*
For every punch Xu landed on his opponent’s face, his opponent landed a head butt on Xu’s fist. Even number of hits = draw!
🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓
On the Judge's scorecard they record it as "Noble Ding Hao sternly examines Xu Xiadong's honorless fist, 1 point."
TheJaranggigi 😂😂😂
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA LMAO
He actually said “Lei Lei probably slipped.” Incredulous
He won it on fashion sense I personally think his attire was much better.. Thoe I'm Not a professional .
Really attractive layers
I said something like that, plus the old guy had eaten way more dim sum.
It was a tie and I'm not a professional, change my mind.
He said he can take hate, but he's scared to say he didn't want to take any hate.
The solution is simple. Next time the MMA Panda needs to make DAMN SURE his next victim is carried out on a stretcher.
How can he, when the ref jumps in like some power ranger to stop the fight everytime he hits Ding Hao to the ground?
A valid point...
I passed out from a guillotine choke, verbally submitted from ground & pound. I believe it’s a draw.
Yeah, this is making me feel very good about being a white belt in BJJ. I am drawing all kinds of belts. I ought to ask my instructor for a promotion.
@@mr.toadstool3704 😂😂
Many layers of lies and boolsheet
The judge actually followed Mortal Kombat rules. If Ding Hao didn`t fall on acid, flames or spikes, neither had his spine ripped off from his body and stayed alive after the fight, of course it's a draw.
Forgot the fatality
@@demonguy5082 true, but the judge didn't

Jerry,
Can you post the Chinese character for that cultural term you mentioned?
Yeah: 死要面子
死要臉
Desperate to save face, or literally: would rather die than lose face.
I keep saying, Xu is ruff and often disrespectful, but he's been driven to this because of the traditionalists in China. When you've had enough and decide to fight back, its not always pretty.
That Journalist is awesome though, gets right to the Jugular with those questions LOL. His social credit probably is as low as Xu Xiao Dongs now.
@Matt White Because the comment you replied to was created by an government agent.
the judge didn't want his social credits deducted
Here's a standard by which we can judge who won- If the ref has to jump in and shield you from your opponent like he's ur mommy, then you lost.
No mommies in fighting!
Of course he won't say he was wrong, these Chinese don't want to admit that MMA(not a Chinese style) is the way to go. They believe that MMA is wrong
You didn't notice that this man (wing-chun guy) has developed a technique in Which he can block a punch using his Face and the Judges are Soooooooo aware of that.. therefore every punch landed on his face was considered as Blocked shot.
I like the interviewers questions.
Straight to the point.
Layers? They prolly like onions that much..
this dude thinks like Charlie Zelenoff. lol
And they do it for the same reason. To combat a sense of inferiority
To be fair to the ref the Kung Fu master did brutally punch XXD’s fist with his face. I would also have ruled the fight a draw.
Epic!
Hah hah!
TMA guy kept hitting Xu in the fist with his face! That's an ancient secret strategy right there!
Hahaha, ROFL, RIFL....long time lols
That's one of the best ones yet ! Hahaha! LMAO.
Or we can say the TMA guy landed more hits to the MMA guys he's so TMA guy got more points. It's does not matter if the hits did no damages.
This is a very good and professional interviewer. Good journalist. Very good.
That Journalist is now in a re-education camp for asking difficult questions

Yeah Xu won that match. I am glad that the interviewer grilled this judge.
I don’t think the judge has a choice. He would be thrown in a body bag in a river by the Chinese government.
Observe my face to fist technique!
Flawless, it's a draw
It’s like us beating the shit out of the Japanese in WW2 and calling it a draw😑
Probably got threatened or bribed. Probably threatened considering what happened to XXD for badmouthing one old man.
I agree, it was a draw! The other guy simply won points by smashing his face into Xu's fists on purpose, so yeah, its a draw.
Hahahaha
I literally laughed that last time he said "I'm not a professional". Such a cop out. lol
the problem is that he is a professional...he performed a skilled task in exchange for money...the definition of being a pro. I think he should have said "I'm incompetent"
(judge ) sorry, I was watching a different fight.
Even if Xuxiadong kill that guy. It's still a draw.
Yep this is why asians die in boxing/mma ring. "That guy didn't lose, he just had cardiac arrest at hospital."
If Xu Xiaodong killed the guy Xu Xiaodong would have lost 🤣
It's not just China. Japan never admitted to being beaten after ww2. It's just an Oriental thing.
Yeah, we should've dropped one on tokyo too. Just for good measure.
I think the Judges are told how to judge
Or Else
radiomanze1 or else lose 100 social credit score
We’ve all mistaken the judger/host, he’s a not professional judger for such MMA match, he’s only professional judger in Death Match. :)
I'm a professional chef, well, I eat so that qualifies me. I make professional meals in a restaurant. It's my home kitchen. Actually, I pour hot water over instant noodles. Usually the water isn't hot. Let others judge me. I know I'm right
Great analogous reasoning ;)
@@FightCommentary had to be said. Consider that my professional MMA referee resume. I've also watched the Matrix, so I do know Kung Fu. I hope they chose me for the next bout.

DRAW! Lol
"I didn't't just look at it from a professional angle. I looked at many layers. It felt like a draw."
BRUH Lmao
LOL! That interviewer was good. He asked the right questions. I thought he would've gave him softballs.
What a freaking JOKE!!!! WOW! They are really in self denial. When you come up short, you pick up the pieces and train harder and look for ways to perfect your craft. Wow!
Respect to all people who train in any martial arts for the love of the art, but not all of them were made to be effective in combat. This phony judge needs to accept that and move on. I am sure Wing Chun has many great techniques that work well in a fight, but the martial arts by itself will only go so far.
I hate this mma vs masters thing. The mma guy is 50lbs heavier than these skinny old men. So fair
idk about all of them. but some of them have issued challenges or claims that they can knock anyone out
He forgot to do the fatality.. You need to kill your opponent to win
Admittedly he was biased and was wrong . I give the interviewer a lot of credit for putting him into a corner and pressing the issue .
The Judge gave the game away when one of his reasons was "He didn't get beaten as badly as Lei Lei...". How do you "get beaten" and have a draw?
“Look, it was an easy decision for me. An understandably angry audience costs me far less than a murderous government does”
....so the concept of shame is apparently nonexistent in this human
The judge is a PEKING HARDLINER, a party member who’s devotion is only matched by his delusion. THE EMPEROR HAS NO CLOTHES!
@@FightCommentary It seems for some people they are aversed to reality and need psychological evaluation.
"I'm not an expert so I won't make that decision"
I also not an expert, and my wife also not an expert, wait let me get my parents, yep they also not experts. But we all agree Xu win big time!
Jerry the video of Xu from the other day with him talking about leaving the country, people said it was all a joke and he was being sarcastic? I think there is some truth in his jest. What do you think?
So, surviving a match equals winning? Ridiculous!!!
5 to 6 knock downs is a draw....I wonder how they'll explain a
'knock out'
I think ref glasses were not good enough. It wasn't his fault he couldn't see properly. Anyone with good vision agrees that the kung fu guy had the shit beaten out of him but not the poor ref.
There is only one layer in a competitive fight.
This guy needs to get in the ring with Xu then after ask him.if he feels like it was a tie...
He did said that he wasn't a professional. So we don't need to give a shit for his decision. We know who is the winner here.
Gotta love the interviewer
So I'm guessing Floyd Mayweather tide 5o times
Best comment ever!
Wait what? Did mister "I'm not a professional" say he believes that Liar Liar may have slipped in the fight with Xu? *FACEPALMS!* Oh my.
What an acrobat! His flips through logic and reason and unparalleled! Quite sad though really... What a shame!
Love Studying Wing Chun, but.....I would never challenge an MMA fighter....Nope! Xu won.
"yes, lei lei probably slipped"
damn..😮
...he slipped and ended up body slamming himself.
Yeah it was a draw, as in the wing chun guy had his blood drawn from getting cracked in the face and thrown on the ground several times 😂
The man who says “I’m not an expert” should not be judging anything!
