    Thank you for posting this tutorial. I was able to make a walker for our shelter kitten with 2 broken legs. He is able to move and play now during recovery. ❤

    Not only a fine tribute to his pet Scout but an easy to follow guide for the rest of us. Thank you.

    Thanks so much for posting this video. I live in Cyprus as have managed to build something similar to your design using the pipes we have here. Had to get some assistance from a plumber friend of mine as we don't have the same types of pipes. Still trying to sort out the right harness to use for the CH Cat I am trying to help. She wasn't happy in the sling type harness. The frame is super though, thanks for all your help.

    Outstanding!! You have got to be a fine man. I have an elderly cat that broke both his hind legs and one will not heal. I need to do this for him so his other leg can exercise and give him some therapy as well as freedom to move about. Thanks so much for sharing!! I love my old boy and want to do all I possibly can to help him with his disability.

    Thank you for posting this. I am going to try to build one each for my two disabled cats, Zepp who was shot and Scooter who was born with a spinal defect. I'm not the most mechanically inclined person, but your video makes it look fairly easy :-)

    Thanks so much for this video! Im contemplating adopting a CH kitten and I'm doing A LOT of research beforehand to make myself as prepared as possible. I know it will be a challenge, but I really need to help of these little critters and I've heard the rewards of a CH buddy are great. Wish me luck!

    Can you list down all the items and exact measurements in the description? I have a kitty in need of a walker right this but I'm not good at DIY.

    LOVE your video!! I have a *large* CH cat. Fortunately, he does not need a walker but may as he gets older (he is 11 now). You don't mention the size of the cat you made your walker for. It would help me, if you mentioned that your cat was (small, medium, large) and weighed x pounds. Anyway, that way I would know how to modify your design, so that it fits my cat. Thank You So Much!!

    Great video! I have recommended your video to numerous viewers from around the world who have asked me about building a walker for adult cats with various mobility issues. I have a how-to video on my channel for building a walker for a kitten or other small animal, but yours is much more stable for a larger adult animal.

    I couldn't find them either, so I took regular PVC caps and drilled holes in them, and used casters with a stem on top so that I could bolt them in. :)

    I also would love to build this for my cat. I can't find the caster inserts anywhere close. Could you give a suggestion about maybe ordering them somewhere?

    I'm sorry i cant seem to find the rubber casters to connect the wheels to the pvc can anyone help..great video though built the enire thing and now need to find a way to connect the wheels ,

      Bit late to reply but maybe this can help someone else with the same problem. I had no inserts so we put a stopped on the end of the pipe, drilled a hole to make a tight fitting for the caster. Hope this helps.

      @noellelauren7194 7 лет назад

      What size casters? Did you use I am afraid mine maybe too short to make a tight fit.

    This is something like made for Bab´s about to learn how to walk right?? :-) And instead of drilling those holes one may Glue those parts together? Wouldn´t that work as well Well??

  • @markforster4984
    @markforster4984 10 лет назад +1

    Why didn't you use pvc adhesive?

    • @luckyroxie157
      @luckyroxie157 6 лет назад +2

      I believe I can answer that! The sling might need laundering or replacement. Using screws instead of glue will make it much easier to take apart and put back together.

    My Flip gets out of it. He climbs out of the sling and I'm not sure how to stop that. Any suggestions? He can hardly walk on his own but can climb out in a heartbeat, lol.

    • @yasminunderwood6087
      @yasminunderwood6087 7 лет назад

      This will be too late for you I am sure, but instead of having a sling, put the cat into a harness and fasten the harness to the sides. The keeps a firmer hold on the cat so that it can't easily jump out. Look at the other designs like the one for Thumper, they used a harness on him. Hope this helps anyone with a similar problem.

      Cerebellar hypoplasia - they have neurological issues. It doesn’t improve but doesn’t get worse!
