And the only lady that can make it taste it's best is my hero.my mentor....this was great after my lobster dinner.with ceaser salad and blue cheese and creamy garlic sause dressing that I make from the wooded area that I have.every yr about this time I have a wooded area that grows wild garlic and wild scallions sorta red and white in color very mild flavor.... Anyways .I picked a handful to make my one and only blue cheese garlic scallion sauce. That I also use for a good thick binder for the smoker. Enough about steaks. This was fantastically delicious thank you so much for letting all of us into your kitchen. You will always be my hero and my mentor...I will forever be your fan and subscriber for life!!...Ps I turned a ripe old age of 55.

I tried making this today. It tastes wonderful! Only issue is the cake broke into pieces. I carefully rolled it when it was still hot. What did i do wrong that made it break?
I'm so glad you enjoyed the cake! The cake can break for a few reasons. Try rolling the cake extra, extra carefully and unroll it very gently. Also, make sure to not overfill the cake as this will cause it to break when you roll.
Since me and my husband are allergic to nuts including pistachios, could we replace the pistachios with chocolate crumbs instead, or make the chocolate cake too? it sounds really delicious but for us, it's without the nuts! thanks for sharing...

Hello I baked the cake but it broke when I rolled for the 2 round. Also, I have a question after beating the cream cheese and add the remaining ingredients it started to get liquidity not thick what do you think could be the problem???
Hi Sandra! I'm so sorry the recipe didn't work perfectly for you. The cake can break when rolling the second time if there is too much filling. Try not to overfill the cake; you can always add more on top. Was your cream cold? Also, the cream cheese needs to be just slightly softened. Perhaps the mixture wasn't cold enough?
Should the cake be wrapped in plastic wrap if refrigerated overnight before serving? How to do that without ruining the outside frosting and the piped decorations?
No, there's no need to wrap it in plastic since it's already frosted. I would make sure that your fridge doesn't have any strong odors, such as garlic or onion. Otherwise, it should be fine :)

Tatyana if you add vegetable oil and little bit of milk in the batter you dont have to roll it hot, it can cool down and will still roll up nicely 😉

Yes, sponge cake works best for swiss roll cakes. Other types of cakes will be very hard to roll
