You can eat a banana an hour before bed he said... creates tryptophan. That's the best tip I heard. I love bananas so to eat one before bed will be my new regimen.
I personally need to start doing this for my New Year resolution. I'm NOT receiving the required 5hrs of REM sleep at 🌙 . That is probably why I have a round belly. I want and need to get stay 😴 through the night.
REM sleep is the lightest sleep when you dream. It's deep sleep you need more of, even then 1-2 hours is enough. I average around an hour each of REM and deep sleep and around 5 hours of light sleep, BUT I wake multiple times during the night totalling around 2 hours! I drink chamomile before bed and it sure does get me to sleep fast in 5-10 minutes so I will try the hops as he mentioned to stay asleep.

Nice tips in the video and comments, have tried most of them with success, personal tips is to exercise (but not too close to sleep) and to not drink water or anything 3 hours before going to sleep.
Check with dr please please before taking melatonin in any form I took one only and my right had started itching and feeling really numb I drank tons of water to bring g it down so be careful

Great video!! Sleep is really, really important for your health. But we also know that if you’re having trouble getting enough shut-eye, prescription or over-the-counter sleep aids are not the way to go. We know that sleep aids can cause tons of issues (gut issues, IBS, intestinal bleeding, impaired cognitive function…the list goes on and on), so we skip OTC and Rx sleep remedies. 👊✨
I think you can control sleep and wake with a 6kg kettle bell morning to wake up lift the kettle bell from by your legs to under your arm pit with a bit of a stretch quickly with each arm 20 times. This activates the kidneys. Evening to wind down lift the kettle bell from over your shoulder to in front of your shoulder 15 times with each arm. This stimulates the back of the mind and makes you more ready for sleep.
When you’re not an Insomniac all these so-called tips may help, but someone with REAL sleep issues have already done ALL of this with zero help. I hate Melatonin, it never helped me.
Gutchie Spencer. That's so true. Someone like me, even melatonin is not working. I just take some gravol to help me to get some sleep. It's not fair. Thank you for your advice 👍🙏
@@CandyGirl44 take 1 tsp in morning on empty stomach and 1 tsp in night, see how your body reacts. If you feel drowsy during the day just take 2 tsp at night, if your stomach can't tolerate it take it after food. If you don't like the taste mix with little honey when taking it. Hope it helps. And don't wake up late and stick with sleeping routine. And watch out for the vivid dreams.
I’ve hurt myself too many times exercising in the morning. I’m back to exercising 2-3 hours before bed and sleeping like a log again. However, I also sleep backwards and my deepest sleep starts around 5am, at the end of my sleeping. And I’ve always been able to drink a large tea, coffee, etc, right before bed and sleep like a baby (tested as caffeine intolerant). . . My doc says NEVER exceed 10mg melatonin; very bad health issues if you exceed it-please talk to your doctor.
All with doctor's supervision only consider 5htp if you are not on antidepressants along with hot magnesium baths. Works great for sleep. Get tested for mthfr--almost everyone with fibromyalgia has it--means they can't detox correctly. Avoid all chemicals in everything including grooming products. Go to mthfr.net and get tested---it's a simple blood test---folate and b12 are hugely needed. I am praying right now that you are healed in Jesus's name now!!!! That you will sleep, and be healed in Jesus's name!
I have a tip that helps me...i stare at the darkest corner of the bedrooms - eyes wide open, concentrate on keeping your eyes open 10 mins later you will want to shut your eyes!..and maybe sleeep..
The other tip I have is to put the pillow over my head, pull the duvet up so there's just a hole for breathing- like being in a tent- its really calming just concentrate on you breathing and ignore all other sounds.
Very true. I sleep in a dark room, no electronic devices, no exercise before bed, 66 degrees in the room, 15mg timed release melatonin plus valerian, not a drop of alcohol before bed and I wake up after 5 hours with barely any REM. Menopausal insomnia is completely different.
melodiousaddiction Organic Maca (the beige colored one) helps with the symptoms. Also, exercising like running and a paleo/keto diet. Also an electro fan helps tune out noise.
the real issue is, how did we get that way... our grandparents were not ... whatever is causing all of the dysfunction, we are trying to overcome it. same with ADHD,and a lot of things that didn't exist. IF we know the root cause, we can avoid of correct it more naturally.
@@Lenzer50 The root is not sugar. Many people have health issues even when they are off sugar or never were sugar eaters. It's a root for many people, but definitely not "the" root. If anything, the main root is godlessness. It results in all sorts of bad habits, from unhealthy eating to lack of exercise to stressing and everything in between.
aChristian4RonPaul Your grandparent didn’t have these problems because they didn’t eat as much junk food and sugar, what people don’t understand every time you eat you spike your insulin. We are meat eaters not sugar eaters!
@@Lenzer50 I understand sugar's not a good thing, but I'm saying it's not the cause of everyone's problems. People today are also more sedentary, get less sleep, etc. One has to have a wholesticly healthy lifestyle in order to be healthy.

I will add to the replies to my post. I think the major thing is the soil is depleted of the the best nutrients from overuse. We don't know the use of all nutrients yet. And sleep. 8 for sure, give me 9 and I can conquor the world. Another thing is one that everyone tunes out when you say it. WATER. I had to prove it to myself. If your body is swore all the time from exercise you need to eat more complete protein and fats for your muscles. Vitamin E helps too and soybean oil, but I am not suggesting that you should take a vitamin E supplement nor use soy bean oil either. Too much of anything may not be good for you, but vitamin E supplements definitely help relieve muscle soreness. Although I would be careful how much I take and make sure to eat the complete protein and green vegetables too. Too much vitamin E might increase the chances of bursting a blood vessel.
