Nowadays Ola & uber auto drivers while booking they will not reach the pickup point immediately they will delay pick up and demanding extra Rs.30 or 25 over phone and some drivers cancelling and we have to wait unnecessarily
This is my experience with both auto and cab drivers.. my dad is a stage 4 cancer patient, we went to Anderson labs in chetpet area and the scan took 3hrs his cancer test.. 8:30pm I started booking cabs and auto, every other person cancelled the ride almost we waited for each driver to come but no one turned up, they don’t even have courtesy to say I am cancelling due to rate or location to drop.. 4-5 people did that and lastly I took my dad in bus..
In tirupur for 1km distance from old bus stop to diamond theater auto driver charged me Rs.150. For return i booked taxi from diamond theater to pushpa bus stop they charged only Rs.75 for 2 km.

In Mumbai they have meters in all autos & taxis, for 1.5 km fixed 23rs in auto, & then it increases as per distance. In Chennai, it's not at all there, directly they will ask 100rs. Ipadi irunda yaaru auto la povanga, I always used to take bus or train & walk, or luggage irunda taxi. That too auto people will be like tamil la pesuna 100rs, indian English la pesuna 150rs, aduve foreigner aa irunda direct 300rs

I am also one of the affected person so past three years I am traveling in bike taxi.they are decent, accurate pickup and drop, economical, overcomes traffic issues never argue or illtreat .

Yesterday I booked auto in ola from kilkattalai to guduvanchery the fare was 332 and I called the driver and informed the same I told him before he ask more money to give 350 he requested 500 saying he may not get customer while returning 😢 finally we paid 470 and with some word of struggle
a year ago, one auto driver asked for an extra charge to my cousin after the drop. Driver has his balance amount of 500, when my cousin was looking for the change in purse he took the balance 500 and drove away fast. He knows very well that the drop point is long and we don't have the option to chase him.
Same happened to my wife, he didn't give balance and left. when she scolded him auto va thirupi vandhu verbally thittitu ponaan that too in a well versed commercial area.
Actually due to increased population in the metro city, transportation at reasonable cost is most needed one. Bike taxi is fast, cheap and easy for single person to travel anywhere in the city even outerskirts of the city. For one person Bike taxi is a boon. No safety issues.

This is my experience with both auto and cab drivers.. my dad is a stage 4 cancer patient, we went to Anderson labs in chetpet area and the scan took 3hrs his cancer test.. 8:30pm I started booking cabs and auto, every other person cancelled the ride almost we waited for each driver to come but no one turned up, they don’t even have courtesy to say I am cancelling due to rate or location to drop.. 4-5 people did that and lastly I took my dad in bus..
In tirupur for 1km distance from old bus stop to diamond theater auto driver charged me Rs.150. For return i booked taxi from diamond theater to pushpa bus stop they charged only Rs.75 for 2 km.

a year ago, one auto driver asked for an extra charge to my cousin after the drop. Driver has his balance amount of 500, when my cousin was looking for the change in purse he took the balance 500 and drove away fast. He knows very well that the drop point is long and we don't have the option to chase him.

ஆட்டோ பெருகிப் போனதால் வந்த வினை இது, வேலை கிடைக்கல, வேலை பிடிக்கல உடனே ஆட்டோ ஓட்ட வந்துவிட வேண்டியது. 50 ஆட்டோ ஒரு ஸ்டண்ட்ல இருந்தா தலைக்கு 1 அல்லது 2 சவாரி தான் கிடைக்கும் சில நேரம் அதுவும் வராது, அதை எண்ணி அவர்கள் வருமானம் போதாது என்ற கணக்கில் அதிகம் கேட்கிறார்கள். நான் நியாய படுத்தவில்லை, என்னவென்றால் உற்பத்தி பெருகினால் விலை குறையதான் செய்யும், அதேபோல் ஆட்டோ பெருகினால் சவாரி கிடைப்பது குறையும் அதற்கு ஆட்டோ விற்பனை கட்டுப்பாடு வேண்டும். அதை விடுத்து கிடைத்த சவாரியில் சம்பாதிக்க வேண்டும் என்ற எண்ணத்தை விட வேண்டும், இவனுங்க சவரியத்துக்கு 10 ஆட்டோ ஓடும் இடத்தில் 50, 60 வண்டி ஓட்ட வேண்டியது இதுக்கு யாரு பொறுப்பு, இவங்க வேற பொழப்பு பார்க்க வழியில்லை என்று இங்கு வந்த குவிந்து கிடந்தால் பொது மக்கள் அதிக பணம் கொடுக்க வேண்டுமா. ஆட்டோ எண்ணிக்கை கட்டுபடுத்த அரசு நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க வேண்டும். முக்கியமாக bike taxi தடை செய்யப்படவேண்டும் ஆனால் ஆட்டோ ஒழுங்குபடுத்த வேண்டிய கட்டாயம் இருக்கிறது. பணம் யாருக்கும் எளிதில் வருவதில்லை.
