Yes sorry for the lack of uploads! I was away this summer so wasn’t able to build anything new. But should hopefully be doing some cool stuff soon! Thanks for the support!
Excellent tips! Sharp creases concentrate the stresses, so angled fittings are definitely a better choice when possible. Some of the backyard rollercoaster folks have videos that show how to bend PVC by filling the pipe with hot sand. That prevents the sharp bends and distributes the curve over a longer length. Make sure you're using Schedule 40 pipe. Some of the broken pieces you showed look really thin. I've occasionally seen the big box stores selling schedule 20 pipe. Not only does that stuff have thinner walls, but it seems to be more brittle in general. Sunlight (UV) can cause PVC to get brittle over time, which shouldn't be a problem if it's inside a prop and/or painted. The gray PVC pipes used for electrical conduit has UV protection that the white irrigation PVC doesn't.
Thanks! And I agree, I would definitely like to use one, just need to learn how to weld! Also would have to make sure it doesn’t get too heavy and not be able to lift up or move lol
My 2024 Frankenstein animatronic one bolt won’t lite up

Thanks! And yes all the replacement pvc have those thicker walls. Must have just used whatever scrap I had when initially building them. Great ideas!
Awesome! I would recommend using a metal structure in the future so they are durable and will last longer.

Any Christmas decor?
We used to put up a ton of lights but never really built anything. Halloween takes all of our time and is more fun!
Nice to see ya Andrew! How’s it been?
I’ve been great! Keeping super busy with school and internships.
Nice!
