I think for added effect, adding some water with some ink in it to darken it and adding a cork that sits below the lip of the bottle could create some cool motion in the bottle.

  • @Finswerion

Guys- you have once again created a masterpiece! It blows me away how you can take these simple props and parts and transform them into something stellar, something far beyond Halloween store quality. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, your attention to detail is amazing. The flesh bits were especially clever and turned out super cool!
I believe I saw the dancing cartoon skeleton pop up a total of four times! I think the goblin animatronic is really cool functionality-wise, but I'm not sure a goblin would fit my haunt theme... if I won, I would probably try my hand at my own Wicked Makers-inspired makeover and transform Mr. Goblin there into something especially spooky >:)
As for the skeleton's name? I feel like you can't go wrong with Davy Bones 👍 but if I had to create something purely original, what about... Pirate Lackey Tarsals? Because, you know, a pirate crew always has pirate lackeys, but he's also LITERALLY lacking a leg, so he's lacking tarsal bones... too complicated? If a name needs too much explaining, it probably isn't a good name... 😅
Happy Haunting, guys! Great job, again!

If you get your hands on the Darling Dolly Animatronic from Spirit, please 🙏 do a makeover video on it. It is in serious need for one. It has a creepy animation and the body is creepy with the hands, but the head looks so strange on it. It just looks like a normal doll head was just placed on it and no extra thought went into it. I think it needs a whole new head, something WAY creepier. I would love to see what you two could come up with!

Another kind of glue that makes a good stringy look (and might be a bit stronger, and less toxic to breath near) is something called Uhu. I've seen multiple other creators use it, like North of The Border.

The dancing skeleton popped up 3 times. I think Captain Jack Peril would be a suitable name. Would definitely Love to see more of the animatronic add on's. My wife and daughters have decided to decorate the yard which is 1/2 acre so movement from the monsters with sound would be awesome. Thank you for all the tips and great content.

I love your animatronic breakdown. I need more videos that simplify and break it down since I have a hard time grasping it and we are trying to make more technical animatronic based decor us=disabled mom +2homeschooled kids

You mention that one of the best upgrades to a cheap skull is to rip it's teeth out and replace them with more realistic ones, and this is very true! If this is out of your crafting budget, though, another cool way to upgrade the teeth on a plastic skull is to paint them with glossy white or slightly off-white nail polish. Make sure to paint each tooth individually, leaving a slight gap between them. This makes them look SO much more like actual teeth, and makes the individual teeth stand out, and it's easy to stain over the polish if you don't want the teeth pearly white in the end. Just a little Halloween tip to others who love to haunt on a budget!

I saw the skeleton 3 times. Love this build! So cool! I would suggest Captain Jack Marrow (not my original idea- I remember seeing it somewhere and liked it).

This is amazing! As is all your work! I would like to request, for next time - an upgrade that adds movement to other parts. Like using some gears perhaps you could extend movement from the same motor up to get his jaw to open and close? That would be so cool!

One of the parts when you’re weathering the pants I like how you just pointed at the body and not the head that was so weird. I think it was funny. and Jay when you weathered the pants and cut them up for pirate shorts I like how Jamie just like like laugh to the table and also for your next project you should meet a SpongeBob and electronic

Wow! Loved the finished product! So creepy and cool! Unfortunately I live just north of the border so despite seeing the little dancing skeleton 3 times (4 if you include the one you guys pointed out at the end), I don’t think I qualify.
One thing that would be cool to add are some LEDs. Like making the eyes flicker and glow an eerie red or something, but not the whole socket but a pinprick, then with the rib cage lighting up somewhat in a distorted heartbeat-flicker, like the spirit of the angry pirate zombie was still there… 👀 getting shivers at the thought!
Also, something for a project that I think would be really awesome (and wish I could make myself), is a zombie Viking. I mean, with (glowing) ice sticking out of him and looking like Thor himself struck the guy down with lightning… BRR!! I know you have that portal thing so I mean… 🤷‍♀️
Or maybe with those spare skeleton parts lying around, have them set up to “move” on their own, crawling, clawing, digging their way out of the ground… spooky!
Another next project maybe having a vampire go from lying down in their coffin… to suddenly sitting bolt upright with a terrifying scream when someone walks by! I went to a Halloween Haunt where I walked past what I thought was a mannequin in a coffin… NOPE! It was a scare actor who sat bolt upright and scared the living daylights out of me! Though it also resulted in said actor getting drenched with the drink in my hand… i felt SO bad! But it was a great scare and I certainly didn’t see it coming!
Also, word to the wise if you have pets or even small kids and have an animatronic set out with the IR sensor on… maybe turn it off first? Scared the daylights out of my cats when they walked past my jumping spider… and the neighbour’s 2 year old when I set it outside… oops!😅Invested in a step pad so I wouldn’t accidentally scare little little kids. I love to scare kids, but kids younger than 6 or 7 years not so much. I draw a line there. Let’s say having the daylights scared out of myself by someone handing out candy in a grim reaper costume (i thought he was a prop but… nope!) when I was 6 left me with nightmares for MONTHS. Scares are great, but not when they traumatize!
