That must be plastic extracted fuel not gasoline. The first time I put gasoline into a barrel and sparked it the whole thing POOFED in a quick explosion burning off all my eyebrows.
Yep, alot of nitric acid, so I am wondering what percentage the nitric acid was? Aqua regia can consume alot of gold before the solution is saturated and ready to drop the gold dust. And sometimes when nitric acid is too much it can retain the gold in the solution, it won't allow it to precipitate. When that happens its easy to overkill the denox part with Urea and the SMB, then losing the gold
Hello, I would like to ask for some help. I tried to refine the phone contacts but straight with aqua riggia during filtration, a lot of precipitate was formed, then there was no reaction with urea and when I tried to precipitate with sodium metabisulphite a white precipitate was obtained I'm asking for help
Although it's maybe a little more expensive I think 90% grain alcohol (Everclear) from the liquor store or 90% isopropyl alcohol from the drugstore would be a much better choice than gasoline if you're looking to keep it uncontaminated as much as possible because guess definitely leaves an oily residue behind that may inhibit efficient extraction in the following steps 1:41
@@vizarification Wow. Cheap. Here in the UK the last time I looked, and I looked up prices for an hour, it was £17 for 1litre of nitric acid and maybe £80 for 10 litres. So it's prohibitively expensive for me.
@@ThunderboltWisdom Wow thats damn expensive.I guess there are not many small scale refiners in UK with this prices you cant break even.Living in a third world country got some benefits.
@@vizarification Yeah brother. There's definitely ups and downs to living anywhere I suppose. Can't get acid, can't really get a gun, can't set a fire, can't sleep where you want, alcohol and tobacco costs a fortune, and so on. We're treated like children in this country. 👍
Again, thank you... When i was first learning this stuff i accidentally discovered that a mix of mostly h2so4 and tiny bit of hno3 (maybe 5% tops, wasn't trying to do anything dangerous, that time at least) did remarkably effective job at decomposing the plastic and dissolving the base metals in these... But im about as cheap as it gets and those acids are my biggest expense so i never tried it more than a couple of times
Piranha solution would take care of all that carbon for you without risking losing gold because you would never throw anything away all the carbon will be reduced to carbon dioxide and dissipate taking no gold with it leaving you with a clean clear solution at the end and if heated piranha solution can also dissolve gold and save on nitric acid cost
Would it not be more effective and produce a higher yield if the ribbons are shredded to small pieces rather than burned , surely you loose a substantial amount of foils in the burning
I learned two things, there's no way that was cost effective for that little amount of gold, and just how small amount is in these ribbons. But still neat video
Next time to make it more worth your while try not just ribbon cables but all plastic heavy gold containing products like SIM cards memory cards or even the newer credit cards or other plastic taste gold heavy product you might have access to because it would all behave the same and process the same way 2:14
I'm sure you lost more than a little gold with your ashes assisted them through that large colander 2:42 (it's a sieve not a filter)... Waste-not-want-not

Awesome video! Just goes to show, every little bit counts. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks! Always good to see these slower to build-up components still have some in the end. Most of us have these with ribbons somewhere i bet.
Hello, Thanks for the video. Were the connector ends on these cables? or were the ribbon cables the leftovers after cutting the connector ends off?
Lebon ase amar kase onek
Is the gold only on the ends of those ribbons? I usually clip the ends off because I see the gold visibly. What is inside the ribbons? Aluminum?

There is only gold on the plated connector ens the wires in the ribbon are copper.
Best to cut of just the ends and process them.
Is it okay if I use a singlet or a curtain instead of this prefabricated filter paper?

Is sodium metabisulfite an food grade or not?
It is industrial grade, but food grade gives the same result without any difference.
Nice work.
Where do I get golden ribbons from?
Why did the flame changed? Is oxyogan in the son -in -law?
My question is. Was it worth it? Did the chemicals cost more than the amount of gold you got? 999 Dunston is great
A liter of HCL, tons of nitric acid, plus cost of cables. It's close, seems like this should be added to a larger batch to conserve materials.
I learned two things, there's no way that was cost effective for that little amount of gold, and just how small amount is in these ribbons. But still neat video
My question is did you actually make any money? After time and supplies?
Ypu should do a video where you melt all the small gold down and make a big melt of them
Hello Trinity Gold Recovery,
95% of the ribbon cable have silverkontakts and the layer is Copper, you can also earn more precius metal from this.

You lose so much gold at separate ashes, 1.5 kg of these flex have more of 3 grams.
I thought so too
So you SPENT $60.°°
to get $30.°°
Holy crap I was expecting a 10kg brick after the 5000 steps and the 20 chemicals and the pollution 🤦🏻♂️

That was a lot of work for .59gm of gold. Probably cost more in materials than the actual gold value.
I would suggest diesel instead of the gasoline.
