    When I first saw the concept art, I thought the bunk beds would be similar in size to the small pull down beds in many DVC resorts.
    I was shocked to learn that a 6’3 and under could comfortably fit.
    They also should’ve put multiple “space windows” rather than just one.

    As I see more of it, I feel like the viewports in the rooms are massive magnifiers and causing that smearing. Like the screens are smaller than they appear and they're trying to stretch it

  • @McEntoshFever
    @McEntoshFever 2 года назад +7

    It looks like the cabin view port has a lenticular magnifying lens to make the screen image fit the window. That would explain the edge distortion, blurriness, & glare.

    Weird or not -- watching Tom climb into the bunks is awesome! Can't get enough of these themed rooms!

    The horizontal wall panels and horizontal padding really help sell it. The window's wall is impressively designed. I'm glad you showed that escape hatch. Someone else's video went into more detail and I was surprised to see what it really goes to, but as you said it kind of ruins the surprise.

      One warning, if you ever book a room, do NOT let your kids open the hatch. It's really intended to work for emergencies. It WILL set off an alarm and it WILL alert the Reedy Creek FD. Note: Reedy Creek is a shell company set up to help Disney put its name on legal documents.

    $6k for 5 people to sleep within 10 feet of each other, share 1 bathroom and 1 “window” in a basement.

    How is the room look for some one that has mobility issues, in a wheel chair etc.?
    It looks like it would be hard to navigate around the room, bathroom etc in that respect.
    Unless they have specific handicap rooms.

    • @lindatannock
      @lindatannock 2 года назад +2

      I think I heard someone say they didn't have accessible rooms, but pls don't quote me on that! I think you'd get a chair in, but the bathroom would definitely be an issue imo. I've watched a ton of videos, and I've not seen a single advertised accessible room. Hopefully Tom will be able to answer this question for you!

    Those outlets are very weird! Appears to be sourced from a universal supplier (possibly marine/cruise ship supplier) since the large square shape could easily be a UK or European style plug socket. Their dual US receptacle shape though is really odd. Basically makes it a single outlet only when power adapter bricks are used.
    Request: Could you do a bedding/linens review that also highlights the manufacturers of the products? Especially interested in the bedding, wish Disney offered the orange/white bed sets for sale.
    Note: Please highlight in future reviews how the bathroom exhaust functions, if there is any in a room. With there being a lavatory closet I’d be interested in whether it had its own exhaust fan or not?

    My question for these rooms and all rooms is Handicapped accessibility. They don’t look accessibly at all.

    • @newhappiness4410
      @newhappiness4410 2 года назад +6

      On point here agree, I know from people’s experience that the standard room is definitely NOT suitable for wheel chair access

    • @suedefringe
      @suedefringe 2 года назад +2

      Well the bathroom is questionable. Call and ask. Seems like most things in this room are but not being there in person is hard to say. The other room he had the shower seemed more accessible for sure.

      I’m sure they have handicap accessible rooms. This is obviously not one.

    • @lindatannock
      @lindatannock 2 года назад +1

      I was wondering about that too! Bathroom doesn't look big enough, and you'd need a pull down seat in the shower imo

    If I paid $6,000 for 2 nights, I would not go to sleep.
    I feel like those towels will be stolen and sold on ebay.
    And
    Did you have to pay for the outfit or was it provided?

    I really need to see the one that sleeps 8. Since that's the room I'd have to book for my family!

    While I feel they should have, I bet they didn’t put the logo on the robes because those would CONSTANTLY be disappearing into luggage. And while they could easily have a set price to charge you if they disappear, I bet it’s anticipated to be a pain to constantly restock. Idk, just thinking.

    We’ve got reservations for August and one thing I have not seen anything on is transportation. Without a rental car how does transportation to and from work.

    How is this priced? Does the per person cost go down if you put 5 people in this room? Are the 5th sleeper rooms more than the standards cabins that only sleep 4?

    • @sheillaallen2538
      @sheillaallen2538 2 года назад +2

      Yes the cost person goes down the more people per room.

    • @ktpaladino
      @ktpaladino 2 года назад +1

      @@sheillaallen2538 Thanks. The website is so confusing. It makes it seem like the 4 & 5 sleeper rooms are the same price (maybe they are) and it doesn’t give the price for a family of 5. It also doesn’t explain if there is a difference in adult and child pricing. 🤔

  • @newhappiness4410
    @newhappiness4410 2 года назад +6

    I hear some reviewers say it’s “ Star Warsie “ but just because it’s different doesn’t mean it is. Yes there is certain Star Wars elements in the room BUT it’s a mix match that doesn’t fit in for eg why would the vanity mirror have imperial battleship lighting?. The problem is it’s a 6/10 n that’s why it’s dividing opinion. For the money we needed more interaction with more characters n BETTER effects on action scenes ie exploding consoles n moving simulation rooms under an attack.
    For the affordable neutrals it’s OK at best but not the best if you consider the resources at Disney’s disposal

    I feel this is absolutely claustrophobic, much more so that an interior stateroom (such as RC with those artificial windows). As for the cost. I want this to be commensurate in cost to what I get I real life. This isn't a luxury room. For the price I want something that's equivalent either small scale vessel quality like Viking or much more space on a larger vessel... For example, per day this work out about the same as I was quoted (these are deeply discounted though with the pandemic) for a 2 bedroom Haven suite on the brand new NCL's Viva

    See the theming is half decent, but it’s a bit of Star Wars stuff slapped on top of what I would expect for like a 2 to lower half of a 3 star hotel in London.
    My main problem isn’t the size, but like standard for the bathroom and overall material used.
    It’s fine if they want to keep it small. But they atleast should have gone for like a 4 star standard. Or minimum a nice 3 star.
    But I think the creative take was nice.

    The reason you can't turn off the lights round the viewport is because it would make the screen more obvious
