  • YourColorStyle... ~ Jen answers a question from her color analysis quiz.
"Hi! I have very warm medium skin and bright blue eyes. My hair is ( was as I am now partially gray) medium brown with gold/red highlights . When I was little I used to tell my mom that I didn’t match because I would tan deeply and my hair would bleach out in the sun. Lol. I am also Ashkenazi. I think I am Medium. Any ideas? Thank you! "

Yes- this is familiar. I’m equipped with light blue gray eyes. I tan easily - my skin looks yellow compared to most other people that I’ve compared with. Neutral, warm & cool make up doesn’t color match well to my skin tone and depth. I custom mix all my tinted moisturizers/foundations, though a yellow setting powder melds perfectly with my face. 😅 It’s quite a balancing act.
My hair grows out cool, med, brown- but the sun warms it up dramatically & lightens my hair to warm, red brunette during the summer months.
Yellow is my kryptonite when it comes to clothing. I look instantly sick when I wear a warm yellow, and the cooler yellows still stand out from my skin and appear very off. Oranges, reds, warm greens, and browns all look separate from me & tend to bring out the shadows in my face.
Cool colors in shirts & dresses seem to have a lot of pigment and intensity- and I find that those colors overwhelm me. The less pigment I wear, the more I feel in harmony. Gray is my safe color. Any cool color that is greyed out is best. Kinda crazy!

Helpful info as usual, thanks. Want to add you look so nice today with the sweater and your "new" hair color really making your eyes stand out. Really pretty!

I’ll never know if I’m warm or olive lol. My hair is dark chocolate brown, so are my eyes, and my skin is light. But if I look at my hair in daylight, it kind of has a slight gold undertone. I see that a raspberry pink red lipstick was weird on me, (at first I though it was perfect) pastels are horrible. Some blues look nice. Could I be a deep autumn? Am I warm?

It's really hard to say based on your description. Your Color Style isn't seasonal color analysis. I highly recommend that you take a look at our color analysis quiz: yourcolorstyle.com/quiz

Are people with olive skin tones more likely to look muddy around the mouth with the wrong colors on?
Are people with olive skin tones more likely to be bright or soft?
