I had warmish brown/black hair in my youth, with very pale skin and dark hazel eyes. So I always wore bright chroma colors due to my high contrast. As I’ve aged, I’ve softened my colors, but I’ve realized I can’t wear blue. I never could. I look good in teal and turquoise and the slightly warmer brighter greens. So I can’t wear navy or true blue without looking dead. Yet, a medium-dark periwinkle is one of my best colors. I’ve lately learned that I have pale olive skin. The slightly warmer blush and lipstick work much better on me, but I can’t wear pumpkin colors. So I’ve given up trying to fit in a category. I’ve learned to stick in the middle - not too warm and not too cool.
I’m awaiting my results, and I think I’m a SWM (light brown hair, green/brown hazel eyes, and peachy skin). I look good in teals and aquas, but sometimes in regular blue if it has a bit of depth to it.
Great information! Ty I noticed you used the bright color wheel. Can you do the same video but using soft or muted color wheel? I am pale olive leaning green, muted, and have dark hair with natural grey streaks. Which blues would be my best blues?

Love the examples, Jen. They really bring your colour theory to life.

Hi. your best blue would likely be a medium to dark blue or medium to dark royal blue which leans a little purple

I'm a SCM and the only blue I really like to wear is navy.
I can see that. Navy is a muted blue and will look terrific on you. Also consider a gray-blue.
