This is the best “grey haired” video I’ve seen. I love the visuals and examples. You are doing my colours and I cannot wait to see the results! Thank you for all you do. ❤️
Really useful - thank you. I was analysed as an HoC Rich Leaf Autumn in 2017 and up until Covid had both high and low lights added every 4 months. I've since decided to embrace the grey and have noticed that I've become happier and more comfortable wearing the softer, more muted, earthier, mid tones in my pallette (Too pale and I look washed out and my hair seems to turn green!). I'm also dressing more tonally and colour blocking less. Love how personal styling changes - it certainly is a journey which makes it so much more interesting - forever evolving ...
I don’t have a lot of gray yet, even though I’m 61, so I tried not coloring it for a year. I thought I would like it, but just it made my skin look so gray. I’ll reconsider in a few years, maybe when there’s more of it, I’ll like it better.
This is helpful. It explains why I now gravitate to both softer and lighter colours. I’m warm and my hair used to be light brown, turning a bit auburn in the sun.
This is really helpful and very understandable! I see now that I was bright and cool in my past but due to illness have moved into the cool and soft category. I naturally gravitate toward the muted colours anyway but I still like black, although I'm thinking of substituting charcoal from now on. Thanks for what you do
splendid find this channel, ty! I am going from auburn to grey, my ginger bits faded first but its very long and curly so I will not chop it off in one go, but grow it out properly. subbed
Thanks Maria great video. Really clear to understand what happens when you are transitioning. It would be a relief to give up the (dye) bottle but I’m going to leave it a little longer. Are you going to do a Tropic related video as a follow up? Have a great weekend. 😘
Hi Maria! Now I almost wonder if you are a mind reader! Because I have ordered both "ultimate outfit & wardrobe planner" and "the color manual" from you and that is exactly what I wonder when I study these. So, I'm pretty sure I'm "bright & cool" from the beginning but now it's gotten pretty much gray in my hair. Does that make me "cool & bright" then? Have thought a lot about this. I have always been told that I fit well in black. What colors should I change now that it is becoming more and more gray in my hair? By the way, love these two courses I ordered from you. I'm sure they will save me quite a bit of money, now that I will no longer be buying all these colors that do not suit me. Thanks for this great video. Here in Sweden we celebrate Midsummer today and tomorrow. Then we eat herring, new potatoes, strawberries and dance around the midsummer pole. Have a nice weekend!
Thank you for your kind comments 😊 if your hair is now mostly grey it’s likely your dominant is now cool and secondary bright. So when you think about colour think about that first word - cool. Add more icy colours. You can still use contrast and black but the black is probably better mixed with other cool and bright colours 😀
Hi Maria. Sheryl here from New Zealand. Love your videos and Instagram. I'm 61 and decided to go gray within the last year. And you're right you have to be ready. Find your capsule wardrobe ideas inspirational., though knowing where to start is a challenge. Find the choice of clothing brands you have in UK amazing and would love recommendations for those that send overseas. Am nervy about clothing sizing etc. Does your accessories business send overseas?
I hope this video helped. If you are still confused you could try my colour manual or personalised service - you will find both on the colour link of my website mariasadler.com 😊
I have mousy mid brown warm hair natural with grey streaks. I am fair, warm undertone with some pink not all over. I have warm green eyes. I find pale colours make me look ill. Am I a neutral or still a warm?

Great I really understand better now. I think you might want to start shorts that are so popular now. You have a lot to share!
Thank you so much! Your insights let me know that my color choices as my hair slowly grays are on the right trajectory.
You are so welcome!

What if I have been designated as "neutral? Thank you!
Hi. I just stumbled on this video. I love your top. Would you kindly link or tell what you have on. Thank you so much. You look great.
Thank you 😊 the top is one I made! The cardigan is from a Danish brand called Masai
Hi , I was just wondering where dose olive cool undertones, bright blue eyes and mousy hair sit in colours x thank you
Hard to say without seeing you but if you have bright eyes and they create quite a contrast with your skin and hair, your dominant could be bright 😀
Hello. Another very informative video. I am completing the transition and I am really confused as to what colors might suit me.
I hope this video helped. If you are still confused you could try my colour manual or personalised service - you will find both on the colour link of my website mariasadler.com 😊

I love navy blue. Is navy blue an option for warm tones?
Yes you can wear navy. Try not to go too dark if possible go for a lighter navy and add some of your lovely warm colours with it 😀
My rosacea is confusing me, I don't wear make-up. I just don't get it. I'm 63, and my brain isn't working !😊 I'll watch again, and again.☺
Can you do a colour analysis by receiving an email. I really need one done.
Hi Jenny yes that’s how I do my colour service. You complete a mini questionnaire and send a picture. The details are at Mariasadler.com/colour 😀
