My hair grew out to silver 8 years ago. Skin is dark. So i avoid beige, cream, yellow, brown. Makes me look washed out. I wear, cobalt blue, emerald green, red, navy blue, dark purple, fuschia pink, cornflower blue, some grey, black, turquoise, coral.
Same here. My skintone is a cool/neutral. I never looked good in warm tones, and now I *really* can’t wear them with my silver. It’s okay, I didn’t have to give anything up! And jewel tones look even better than ever now!
You listed all the colors I wear! Except the coral. And I agree on the "some grey". I prefer light to light medium blue greys, not crayon or charcoal greys. It killed me that I couldn't wear my ivory/beige leather jacket. So I gave it away to a friend.
Agree with all of this, other than wearing red in my wardrobe. Maybe I just do not like red ? Jewelry, oh goodness mix metals ! I love wearing the both. I just ended my three year journey. Long completely grey ! Wooohoo I made it!
What an inspiring message .. you said people opinion should not matter, very true , my 2nd attempt , I went white 15 years ago and because people’s comments I coloured my hair again, now I have been white for a year and learning gradually how to treat my hair, yellow is a little issue for me, but I am getting there. I find using transparent/white shampoo/ Conditioner helps , also Towel dry my hair with white towel and use hair dryer when nearly dry. I have pierced my left earlobe to 4 dainty earnings loving the look, also wear red and bottle green sunglasses. Learning daily
Lots of great tips for us silver ladies and you look absolutely lovely in all of your clothes and are an inspiration. The only tip I personally disagree with is gold jewellery. I too love, and hate to give up on wearing, my gold pieces, especially given the cost value we have spent on owning these pieces. However I do find it clashes and doesn’t add value to my look. I have to celebrate and go with my silver tones so white gold and platinum pieces can also be used as well as silver. I totally agree with the colours you have chosen and about not wearing yellow. I also find that I can wear most colours, including brown, if they have a grey rather than yellow tone.
My hairs naturals coloring, streaking, etc is what women pay hundreds for, at salons. I’m loving it to the fullest. I’ve earned it all, every strand of silver & white and even the greys & occasional black hairs (black?? my hair was blonde 🤷🏼♀️)
69 year old with medium skin tone and a pixie for my beautiful salt & pepper hair. Favorite colors (tops) are periwinkle, black, gray, navy,, purple, fuchsia , and warm reds. I stay away from (tops) beiges, browns, or yellows.
I think the variety of a color and skin/eye tones are as important as hair as to what flatters one most. Saying red is good now that you have grey hair doesn't say which red-tomato, cherry, fire engine, etc. And every blue will not flatter everyone.
My hair has gone from grey to white and love, love to wear green, any shade of green but particular a bright green. As a brunette I never would wear green. I do not like dark blue but really enjoy the jeans blue with my white hair and blue eyes. I enjoyed your video.
I love the look of greys matching the hair with the same undertone. Like pastels too. And bright red. I think black can give a sophisticated look. I now stay away from different prints (that really looks like granny)
The red clothes hit it with the red lipstick for me. Plain colours from now on. Loved the blue. I have a navy blue mac with gold buckling on the cuffs that I love.
I'm also a cool-silver and ash brown gal, with very cool pink skin tone. Deep jewel tones, black and charcoal grays are fantastic. Reds, blues, true greens or evergreens are best. Teals, aquas and turquoise are bordline borderline if they're too pale or too warm Yellows, ambers, oranges and yellow-greens are a no-go. Ivory and cream can work, as can deep espresso browns. What surprised me was that pale pinks and lavendars could wash me out, so I definitely need to stick with a more saturate palette.
I’m a cool winter, 57yo. I’m finding the icy/pastels are washing me out now. The gemstone colours are still best for me. I love shopping second hand too…. 🥰
You looked stunning in all of the example outfits especially the blue jacket. So happy to hear that I don't have to give up all of my beautiful gold jewellery because that has been one thing on my mind. I am 20 1/2 weeks growing out my grey. Excellent video, thank you!!
Wow, keep going! I am so happy that you liked the video. Do you also have silver jewellery or are you a gold only lover? :) I find that I gravitate more to gold and my silver jewels are abandoned haha
I used to wear red a lot when I was younger and had my hair dyed black or dark brown. I have dyed my hair dark red for the past decade or so and stopped wearing red because it looked weird. I am now growing my hair out and it is silver and ash brown and I am so excited to wear red again!
I agree with you there. Red and any shades of red, fushia or dark red/maroon. Aubergine and purple. Cream rather than white for me. Thank you, like your post. Looking forward to your make up video.
This is interesting to me. I've always liked grey and red on me, and khaki, I think they are flattering colours.. Black now is a no no, never really looked good in it, but now it makes me look older and sallow.. It'll be interesting to see how these colours change once my grey comes in. I'm at the very beginning and seem to be somewhere between excited and scared.. And everything in between! Watching grey hair videos is my new obsession! Lol I do wish I could stop reading about how fashionable it is, or reading the words "granny chic".. I'm not trying to be fashionable at all, and I'm not a granny! Just a bugbear of mine I guess! Anyway, ty for this video X
I only do pale, baby yellow. Mint green. Pale, baby pink. So it prob works. Idc tho lol I love colors and I’m too old & sun damaged/wrinkled/saggy skin to be attractive. NO makeup ever but red lips never could be on my pale skin, blue eyed and dark blonde haired self. I also have mixed metals ever since I got a wedding ring with 3 twisted metals to go with whatever I wore. Just enjoying life!
I’m going through the grey journey, my hair is long, half grey and darker on the bottom. My colors are very basic, black, white, cream, grey . Very simple makeup, a color lipstick, not red , but a brown red! Not often. I have a chic boho look about me. No pastel colors at all. No red at all either, must be a specific red and I could never find the right one. I’m warm and cool tones, I could pretty much wear any jewel color. Black is my signature color! I love my grey hair. I have added a few blue and blush pieces lately. I wear a strong frame eye glasses in black. I do wear mixed material all the time.
Cool Sustainable Hello there, yes I do, different shades, darker lighter and even ice grey, I’m very much into monochromatic looks. I still go very light on the make when wearing of my color plates, which is a basic color plate. At this point I see my grey part of the hair, which now almost longer than the traditional bob, but I’m not cutting it until I get to the desire length. My grey outfit do compliment my hair, maybe a bit darker at times often lighter, I’m fine with that. I use purple shampoo once every 4-6 weeks with a parvana toner. I trim my hair every 3 to 6 month and have it toned professionally to have the grey stand out.
Thank you I enjoyed your tips. I just wish you had shown actual navy or royal blue clothing when you were talking about them instead of showing light blue clothing. And thank you for showing your spectacles, it has given me encouragement to change my frames. Your hair looks great by the way.xxxx
Well, I have grey hair and grey blue eyes, so I can't wear the same colors like you do. I need colors from the clear winter pallet. Cold colors ! Red doesn't suit me at all , gold neither!
I am champagne gray with a lot of white framing my face, fair cool skin, I am a Summer in the seasonal color analysis. Red is really good on me, blues including navy, black, white, magenta and brighter pinks. Black is a tad harsh on its own so I mostly stick with black shoes and pants with a brighter color near my face
I have warm skin tone and almost white hair that I’m just adapting too after asking hair dresser to blend in my natural white so great to come and get ideas. Loved your red glasses. And my fave colours so far are navy, dark grey coral and light blue 🙂
I'm glad to hear of someone else with warm skintone. I have both warm skintones and undertones, that hate white. It washes me out! And, black only looks good on my lower body. I purchased a salt and pepper wig to wear as the hair dye grows out. I have noticed that the new growth is actually, white. Even a few of my brow hairs are coming in completely, white. I imagine that when all of the dye is gone my hair will be white. I love Autumn colors as I 've noticed that I get a lot of compliments. My question, will I still be able to wear, Autumn colors? I hate pale colors!
I have grey hair, I am a cool undertoned person and I love to wear beige, but it has to be on the cool side too. l call it a "greige", combined with something bright.
You look stunning in the red glasses and blue too plus the red lips!!!!! Your hair looks perfect to me! I wish I could keep clean in white (no chance!😂😂😂😂), but it does look really great, also in combination with other colours! Just found you and am looking forward to watching more of your videos. Day off tomorrow so hopefully can make a start! Where do you live? The river and greenery around it looks really, really nice! Wish I could go for a walk with you there! 😊😊

It is my absolute favourite!
I wear pure hues with black and white ... but stay away from gray, tan and brown.
Man, you probably get this a lot but you're quite a gorgeous lady
You are adorable! Thanks for the tips :)))))))))
aw thank you for watching :)
Depends what colour grey you are
Thank you for this video 👍
Did you visit Poland? Kazimierz :)
Colours: Red is great- green is horrible- cream is also horrible- at least on me.
Agree 100%!
What sort of green? Just curious, as I've always loved Khaki on me (I'm not yet grey all over though)... All tones of green, or just certain ones? :)
@@nnnnn1610 if they have a bit of blue in them they are Ok but otherwise all greens- I just look ill :-(
black, purple, blue looks good....orange, beige and yellow not so good.
Thanks 😊👍🙏💜✌️
Magenta, Red, the most saturated color
Dark brown eyes, pale warm skin, light silver hair - black turns me into a vampire
My champagne grey hair seems to be going well with my skintone. I can wear more brighter colours. Stripes are refreshing. Grey tones with white and some black looks good on me.
Do you like purple ?
I do! Actually I have dabbling with purple recently and it works great!
I don’t like yellow, orange or red on me.
wow, i thought for sure your jewelry was silver.
me to
i think both work but i just prefer gold - what i mean it, it probably doesn’t matter!
I hate red. I do love cranberry or brick.
