I just bought this exact same brand new guitar (right handed) a week ago in Nashville from Carter Vintage Guitars. It is simply amazing sounding and is sooooooo easy to play. I just did a few minor adjustments on the string height and intonation, put D'Addario 10's on it and it's a ROCK/BLUES machine! But surprisingly, the neck pickup is so warm and full sounding it is also great for finger style Chet Akins/Travis picking. It's one of the best necks on any guitar I've ever owned. I love this guitar. Thanks for the review Shane!!!

Hey shane !! I have a video suggestion. Hopefully im not over stepping my bounds. Hopefully I can describe what im thinking. Ok here it is.... A video on "A good jam-a-long set-up for home/practice". For example: in this video you were demonstrating the guitar by playing it along with a backing track of a band, minus guitar. If you felt like jamming at home with a full band backing track, how do you go about it ? Os there a better setup ? How do others setup to jam to backing tracks at home ? Im sure all of us have done the simple, play a track on the computer running through some speakers. While playing guitar through an amp. Is there a better way ? Recently I have had the urge to find a good, easy, hassle free way. I think what kicked it off was the demo for the new spark from positive grid.

This is such a home run for Gibson. I know at first, I'd grab any lefty I could find then went to finding the ones that weren't the same two or three models and colors you'd find in every shop. Now, I'm to the point where I'm trying to settle on "The Keepers." The ones like my Explorer, Schecter C-1 Hellraiser Passive FR, and recently an Ibanez RG5EX1L, which has one of the most amazing necks I've ever tried along with the Hellraiser, and my Squier Contemporary Strat - the cheapest guitar I have (paid $177 new). Each of them just gets out of the way and I never have to fight them and I think they just make me play better, be more creative, etc.

Hi Shane, that guitar is bringing out exciting stuff in your playing! Check the string spacing -looks off at the bridge, the A is too close to the E

Joseph D'Angelo - the tail piece is odd, it’s not a tuneomatic. He can probably just push any string over on it and fix the spacing.

@@babetteleblanc7620 But of course! Cool that Shane is so head over heels with this axe that he doesn't notice!

I bought the new SG Tribute and it's nice and lite and no neck dive.

Ah, now there's a sweet lady right there, Shane - I really dig the finish, and as you said - the tone speaks for itself. Best appreciated using headphones, for RUclips listeners. Good on ya, mate! Dug the outro as well, FWIW. Hell yeah.

Congrats man, I think it is wise to only get guitars you really want to keep instead of stand ins. I am on acoustic journey at the moment and that is the goal as well.l, to get something that stands the test of time

Yes Robert Baker made me want one with P90's also! So I got the Epiphone version of this TV Yellow, and also a Gibson Les Paul Special Tribute DoubleCut with this same tailpiece. Great tone in this video! P90's are taking over the world 😱👍
