      Hi, very interesting, but I have anaphylactic reaction to anti histamine!!! I cannot understand why. I have many allergies, but can't take anything to help, and the allergies are increasing! Maybe it is histamine, but why the reaction to anti histamine?? Tia

    • @StephanieAlice
      @StephanieAlice Год назад +3

      @@hazeldellis hi it can be because of an ingredient .. if you try compounded maybe it’s ok but I still have issues too - something about methylation which I still can’t understand or gut health issue with substances/chemicals leaking into bloodstream making us crazy. There are more people like us and a functional doc should be able to explain it and help!

      @@StephanieAlicethank you. Not sure we have such a thing as functional medicine here in Spain!! I'm also allergic to apples, which is an anti histamine!! So some weird stuff going on in my stomach!!
      I know gluten is my biggest problem, but more and more things are adding to the list, so I figure I have issues with my gut micro bio, so I think I will start with this, see if I can get tested for this. I'm so glad I'm not alone.

      @@agenciahidalgo great question! We don't know that yet- we know so little about the microbiome, let alone how to tinker with individual species. For what it's worth, acidifying the colon seems to be the most effective way to target Klebsiella and Escherichia species. Did your doctor prescribe you an anti anxiety med? 2 years ago I was having a health crisis. Was referred to a stomach doctor. One of the first things I told the stomach doctor is that when I took an antihistimine for my allergies, the stomach pain would go away. He gave me an anti anxiety med and sent me on my way. Now I get all my medical info from RUclips.

    Thank you so much for sharing all this great information. I have been struggling with loss of smell due to inflammation on my nose and sleep disturbances mainly. I’m on allergy shot for over a year now and I have seen any major improvement. Already had a nose surgery, been on oral steroids which it helps with the problem but had to stop it due to the side effects. Also been on all major nasal spray and medication and seen not to help with the problem neither. Had DUPIXENT injections 2x and after the first injection I was fixed 100% but side effects made my Doc to stop it. I have been learning about this and I was wondering what’s your feedbacks on this, do I need to try any special supplements?

    This is so informative! I have a question about the supplements you suggested which included Vitamin C, and methyl B complex (which includes B1). The article attached in the description includes both of those on the table of medications that block DAO. So, just trying to clarify if those are actually not recommended if they are blocking the DAO enzyme? Thank you!!

      Yes I know the article can be confusing. In general vitamin C is excellent for histamine intolerance (stabilizes mast cells) and B vitamins are also very helpful (promote methylation). You might also enjoy my video on MCAS:

I want to many doctors and none of them seemed to cared to help figure out.

    To echo many others, thank you for this! I have dealt with many of this issues for 20+ and my 19 year old son deals with many of them. I've been suspecting we have histamine intolerance and supplementing with digestive enzymes and DAO, as well as L-glutamine, vitamin D, quercetin, and b vitamins. My father and I have started watching your videos to work on potentially healing leaky gut. We face the problem of not being able to find any actual doctors that understand food issues, and functional medicine practitioners not being as knowledgeable as we would hope. I have 2 questions: 1. Do you know of any doctors with training similar to yours in Texas that we could see to interpret tests or do you consult virtually with patients? 2. Is there any harm with supplementing with berberine, oregano oils, and allicidin prior to testing?

    For the last 10 weeks I’ve been experiencing issues of my throat tightening up and really foreign sensations in my hands such as tingling, lightness, butterflies, racing sensation, cold feeling, light numbness etc.
    I’ve been to A&E and have done blood tests and MRI on my brain and spine and everything is okay. The doctors are unsure what is wrong with me. My mother theories it could be a histamine intolerance however these problems that I encounter don’t seem to match any of typical histamine intolerance symptoms.
    I have recently found triggers e.g the worst attack i experienced where my throat tightened up, hands and feet tingling, difficulty breathing through my nose, feeling very spaced out/disconnected happend the day after eating a lot of pepperoni pizza. Which when I had my first attack/flare up was eating a pepperoni pizza.

    For anyone suspecting histamine tolerance for themselves, I highly suggest you get an allergy test because your body may not react to histamine released from certain items that may otherwise be high in histamine. My doctor hasn't heard of this? Well, he hasn't heard of ANYTHING not 1990s medicine, and he's a young doctor! And beware of kombucha, etc., as wow, they can devastate those with already high histamine levels, as can some probiotics, such as those derived from dairy. But I lived with high histamine--it was PERCEIVABLE and I TRIED to talk to doctors about it--for decades. My advice? Don't waste time with conventional medicine and problems like those described here. BTW, "heartburn" is often NOT TOO MUCH STOMACH ACID (Doctor!) but too little. I had heartburn to the point of vomiting, and it was FROM LOW STOMACH ACID. It stopped when I got off the proton-pump inhibitors and took HCL WITH EACH MEAL!

I took fexofenadine and cetrizine but it helped vanish the old hives but recurrence of new hives were always there. Last Wednesday I ate beans which is my favorite so had good qty and next day my limbs specially legs were covered with red hives, burning and itchy allover, got myself admitted under casualty in hospital for observation, injected pheniramine maleate and hydrocortisone, and applied calamine lotion. Eventually the burning n itching stopped so I was sent home.
    Later I took 4 more shots of each of the above injections.

    I just realized this today after fasting and being tired of taking Claritin everyday and getting a different diagnosis every few years for the different symptoms. This was a perfect fit after years of not drinking a glass of wine lead to this discovery after waking up with hives I had not had so bad in the same amount of years. Hives lessen when I stopped drinking and whenever I got pregnant. But I have always had hives and I eat so much different stuff i knew it could not just be one food group causing the hives. My mother had all the same symptoms. Fish is literally my favorite food uggh.

    How long should you take an antimicrobial if you have dysbiosis? And won’t that just kill the probiotics you’re trying to put in?

    • @drrajsree
      @drrajsree  5 месяцев назад

      For dysbiosis usually 4-6 weeks of at least twice daily herbal antimicrobials. The good bacteria in probiotics help to push out the "bad" bacteria causing dysbiosis.

      Yes fermented foods have natural probiotics. But if you are histamine intolerant, then they are not the best source of probiotics. You might want to get your probiotics from a supplement rather than fermented foods.

    My histamine intolerance didn't start until I quit the anxiety depression med Mirtazapine which is a H1 histamine blocker (which I didn't know at the time I was taking it). I was on it for 2 years. When I quit it a year ago I started having histamine overload and still do. I get headaches, waterly burning eyes, anxiety, brain fog, ringing ears, and total fatigue. Doctors didn't know what was wrong with me after several visits. I had to figure it out on my own after watching videos like this. Going to try to eat more garlic since it's a natural antihistamine.

      Diet can help but the low-histamine diet is just to control symptoms and can be hard to sustain.
