I loved hearing the in-depth analysis of the pieces! Also hearing clips was great. I appreciate your feedback on the pieces. Thank you for this video!! I would enjoy hearing you perform the top 3 wining compositions on a video. That would be great! Enjoying from Maryland, USA!
Wow, what a fantastic result! I love the relaxed "here's the results" attitude with no pomp or ceremony. Not that there's anything wrong with pomp and ceremony, as it is par for the course for most musicians, LOL. Should I assume that the top 3 winners' pieces will be performed here on the channel? A suggestion for individual videos could be prffiles on the winners. These are just suggestions. I am now going to reward this channel for its good work with a financial contribution using the Thanks Tab.
@@peporgan I second that. Please play all the winners compositions as well as a selection of the ones submitted that did not win a place. Thank you from South Africa. Duncan
Titus, et. al., what a treat to hear your reviews of the contestant works and particularly the competition finalists. What you are doing each year with your contest can only enhance the public appreciation of this ancient instrument. Bravo All!
As a disinterested listener to the commentaries from the three of you (plus the musical extracts) I wonder that were it possible to listen to the complete (four) works in a future video then I and possibly other listeners would likely be pleased. Whatever transpires, it is to the credit of Pep Organ that the interest shown in the competition has increased. This reveals something which many of us forget in the bizzarity of the modern world i.e that there are still some young people in society who are imbued with vision, skill and potential who want to develop their existing knowledge of composition by writing music in certain styles and by so doing learn the discipline of composition through historical observation. The thrust of what you are all doing to foster all this is to be commended so my hearty good wishes to you all - and even the rabbit.
Great ideas for getting new things written... but you Seriously? don't hear the direct copycat of the G-moll opening to the infamous T &F in D-moll of Bach!? 😮 Both the rhythmic flourishes and the dim./dom chord inversion... (the rest of the piece might be great, who knows...)
Not really, it sounded far more like Bruhns/Buxtehude to me; stylistically similar but not a copy of anything directly. Anyway, the whole performance is on my RUclips channel.

Thank you so much Robert! That's very generous of you. We will indeed perform the music of the winners soon on the channel.

Thank you. Performances of the winning works will be shared soon
Very worthy winners for certain - wonderful to hear such creativity for the King of Instruments: bravo to all concerned!
@20:44 "Kudos to all of you.". Hear, hear!
Thank you!
