Majesty21 We do!! I saw them live and I couldn’t take my eyes off him the whole time even though my idol is petrucci!! If you se whim live, you will never hate him again. I guess he just comes come off the screen that well
The drum fill at 11:40 is fucking insane! Although this live dvd/bluray seems to have the exact same big problem the Luna Park one had. JM is WAY WAY too low in the mix, i can't hear anything he plays. And that actually pissed me off since he is pretty much the most agile and monstrously talented bassists in existence. Goddammit.
The bass is pretty audible when it needs to (when it is not doubling the guitars or the keyboards). I love JM's playing when doing phrases, melodies or little solos, I don't need to hear him doubling JP.

Why would you want to choose a venue in the USA for a live DVD? Dream Theater has the best crowds in South America. USA crowds always just stand there.
Well Boston is where Berklee College of Music is located. That's where Myung and Petrucci met Portnoy, hence where the band was formed and also where Mangini was teaching before joining the band. So, there is a lot of history there for them.
Mangini is great with DT, but he will never be the drummer Portnoy was with DT. The whole outro section was just weird. Love the guy, but his style doesn’t mesh the same way with DT
Menso testamento. Aguante Portnoy vieja
Felipe Villarroel Still waiting for a live Space Dye Vest, though. Portnoy had the concept, of course, but I doubt he "wrote it" much more than the average DT song.
Portnoy actually wrote this song, bro, lyrics and some instrumental parts. As part of the 12 Steps Suite. A long with The Glass Prison, This Dying Soul, The Root of all Evil, Repentance and The Shattered Fortress.
I think Jordan's sheet music is there so the keyboard can keep up.
Jordan is like a metronome.
11:38.... simply the beast !!!!
Yes sir....that was one of a kind. Classic Mangini. That chit hurt my arms just looking at it. lol.
Mike Mangini, Impossible Simply Magical.
The best song with Mangini live IMHO. we want to see this Mangini everytime!!

drumming with attitude. 10 outta 10!

probably but nobody cares about bass except maybe 1% of listeners
vicsnake Put me in that 1% then. I love hearing the videos where one can hear every instrument in a band such as DT.
The bass is pretty audible when it needs to (when it is not doubling the guitars or the keyboards). I love JM's playing when doing phrases, melodies or little solos, I don't need to hear him doubling JP.
You need a sub woofer on your sound system...
Yeah, maybe get your hearing checked or your bass/subwoofer looked at; I can definitely hear the beat (Not just the drums)
excellent performance playing the last song of the 12 step suite respectively
Aguante M. Mangini \m/
Tell me again how Mangini doesn't compare to Portnoy, I DARE you!
Aguante Mike Mangini \m/

No he says "Crowd, John Petrucci!" :D
Alper Sönmez Come on John Petrucci
Superb :)
Mango i is so on time and precise that live songs always feel like they are dragging to me
What?

i think people go crazy on iron maiden, metallica, slipknot concerts... im from south america, when I saw DT everybody was pretty much only O.O
Mangini is great with DT, but he will never be the drummer Portnoy was with DT. The whole outro section was just weird. Love the guy, but his style doesn’t mesh the same way with DT
fucking great man....
5:10 Mangini! what in god's name is that?
I never liked Mangini before this, very good but not as good as Portnoy. After this I take it back: class. Keep it up!
Stephen Reeve don’t judge too early next time bubby
This dying soul and the glass prison
Yes, it's part of the twelve step suite
Metal progressive
X-FUKYEAH-X
Mike Mangini is great, but no one can match Portnoy's unorthodox style of playin
lol.. says who? you?

The rest is fucking awesome, as usual !
He sounds great here.

This is Portnoys song!
nope, this is a dream theater's song
***** Both are right. Portnoy wrote this song..... but he wrote it for a DT album, so it belongs to the band
Felipe Villarroel Still waiting for a live Space Dye Vest, though. Portnoy had the concept, of course, but I doubt he "wrote it" much more than the average DT song.

Felipe Villarroel Fine. More than the average DT song, but again, not like Moore with Space Dye Vest.
What happened to petrucci's guitar tone? Wow
