Casey overtaking Rossi on the outside when speeding up to the Corkscrew at Laguna is one of the many yet undeniable showcases of superb skill and balls of a very good rider.
Still the only rider to win a championship with Ducati, even though a number of heavyweights tried their hand on the machinery, including the likes of Rossi, Lorenzo etc...
Valentino said that Stoner was his greatest adversary and I would agree with that. As far as I'm concerned, the only rider who has challenged Rossi, as the greatest of all time. Sad that he chose to retire so young.Like Rossi, won the title for two different manufacturers and also like Rossi, won on bike that he shouldn't have done on.
Valentino is also on the record saying that Casey was from the future with his style of riding. We Aussies have been fortunate to produce some great and gutsy riders with ultimate control of powerful machines.
Rossi is also a dirty rider, who constantly pushed and hit other riders, thankfully he sucks so much recently that we don't have to watch him ruin other drivers with his dirty moves, honestly if i was Stoner i would've been sick of the sport because of him
@@desmonino27 it's a big part of the reason because once he started taking time off to try sort he's issues they instantly started to plan for a future without him, leaving him very bitter which is fair enough

Stoner finally allowed Ducati to be a competito. What their bikes lacked in performance he could make up with skill. The Japanese were destroying MotoGP and still are to this day but he definetly put Ducati on the map

The only rider to win championships on different factory bikes after VR46 & the only rider to win championship on Ducati bike.
