    We've been doing a bunch of research before we buy a lite weight camper, and this is absolutely the most informative video we've seen yet. Thanks for all of the useful info!

      What all can you run off of the battery/solar if you plug in panels. Are the 110 outlets/usb on the battery. I didn’t see anything about an inverter.

    Getting mine next week. Downsizing for fuel economy. We chose the 17FD. No more gas guzzling travel trailers. I'm sure my Tacoma will get better gas mileage with the Bushwacker.

    I learned a lot of great things, except I have hot water in the tank but not at the faucet. Is there something I missed?
    Thank you for this great video.

      Please give our service center a call. You may have a mixing valve in the wrong position somewhere within your system. Hopefully this is found to be a quick and easy fix.

    Great tech tour, thank you! Where can we find the insect screens? Also, you mentioned a city water pressure regulator. What's the recommended pressure limit for this camper trailer?

    • @RVTechToursatPrincessCraft
      @RVTechToursatPrincessCraft  3 года назад +1

      The insect screens are easy to find online, but our parts department can not only make sure you get the correct sizes... but they can also get them delivered to you! For these trailers, we like to keep the water pressure to around 50psi. Give our parts department a call! (512) 251-4536

    Since you post technical, I need to ask you a question, maybe you can also suggest this to the manufacturers of all of these RV’s. But hopefully you can answer my questions. Why is it that they waste their time with off-road type tires? Why not go with better Low Roll Resistance (LRR) tires so that the towing vehicle won’t have pull as hard and waste added fuel. Makes sense to me. Fred San Diego Ca.

    • @RVTechToursatPrincessCraft
      @RVTechToursatPrincessCraft  3 года назад +4

      Simple answer is lots of buyers buy the "look" and the dream. The nobby tires certainly don't help on the highway miles, as you've pointed out, but they do assist a little with mitigating lateral slide on trails and un-improved surfaces. Maybe not tons of help, but some lateral grip to keep the trailer from slipping sideways and pulling the back end of the tow vehicle around is something we've heard from shoppers from time-to-time. So.... for the most part, it's a look and vanity piece, that has "some" functional benefits in the right conditions.

    How do you winterize this unit the 17bh? Does it have a hot water bypass and a tube to pump antifreeze?

  • @karsonmccall4665
    @karsonmccall4665 3 года назад

    You keep talking about winterizing. Is the trailer livable in winter or do extra things need to be done to do so? (Besides extra tubal care)

    • @RVTechToursatPrincessCraft
      @RVTechToursatPrincessCraft  3 года назад

      In this video, winterizing is just referring to getting as much water out of all of the water system components and replacing that evacuated water with antifreeze (except for the water heater). You can certainly camp in a winterized trailer, but it will have decreased functions and you'll need to modify some of your camping practices to manage things like water and waste. It will be more like tent camping regarding water and waste.

    Any opinions on build quality. I have a small rv and quality is not impressive. I love the Nucamp T@B 400 but it's almost twice as expensive as this. Will an under $20000 unit hold up?

    • @RVTechToursatPrincessCraft
      @RVTechToursatPrincessCraft  3 года назад +1

      The Bushwhackers are a great product, but are not the build quality of the NuCamp. You usually get what you pay for! We have lots of happy customers with both the bushwhackers and the NuCamps, it all about what you are looking for!

  • @taylorsiech4706

    What all can you run off of just the battery if you get a solar panel? Fridge, 110, usb, lights ac? Or do you need a inverter and a controller installed?

    • @Chickmamapalletfarm
      @Chickmamapalletfarm 3 года назад

      I have the same question too. Plan on doing a decent amount of “rough” camping. I am hoping they the inverter is built in, or that everything. Can run off propane… I am getting this one regardless and will make adjustments. But I have been wondering the same thing.

    Does the water pump need to be on when using water if not connected to city water? Itwould be nice to see where where water pump is located and how to winterize.

    • @RVTechToursatPrincessCraft
      @RVTechToursatPrincessCraft  3 года назад

      If your not connected to the hydrant, you will need the water pump to pump it out of the tank. It’s located under the front dinette with a valve for winterizing. Call us if you need more details on how to winterize!

    • @Chickmamapalletfarm
      @Chickmamapalletfarm 3 года назад

      I am curious about this question too. Have you been able to get the answer. We are defiantly going to get this travel trailer, so I will find out eventually. But I am debating if solar might be useful for more rough camping, and boon-docking, or if it would be better to just run everything off the LP.

    Build quality is garbage, the shower interior panels were cut too large and the cauking job is abysmal. Looks like it was thrown together with slave labor
