USUALLY you never object during closing, it is super rare for it to happen because it not offered for the truth, its allowed to be an emotional plea.. but when you recap the whole trial from her point of view with no themes or motifs...no one could remember all this...this seems like a."don't you see the mark on my face right now" as if Elaine is going to bombard the jury with soooo many words they might get confused and might actually see marks that are not there...the fact that an objection was filed during the closing statements is INSANE!"

Every time I try to go back into this trial with an open mind, my neutrality is quickly extinguished. Camille's closing statement was ordered, logical, backed-up by evidence. Elaine's is all over the place, far too rhetorical, clumsy and downright lazy. To be fair to her, it can't be easy to come up with a coherent closing statement for such a shambolic case, but still. The contrast between the two teams speaks for itself.

Amber said something totally different than what her attorneys saying the police officers said. I don't understand how you can contradict your own clients testimony. Heard said the PD said "They did not think it was domestic violence." Nothing about them suggesting an arrest.
I hope the jury examiines and compares each word from the lawyers with the actual presented evidence. AHs lawyers are pretty much speaking like AH, talking a twisted story to sell their souls.

That itself shows that the false info she wrote cost him his career. It’s that simple. I don’t get the feeling he will lose. Many people are saying it’s not easy to win a defamation case. But defamation literally means you frame someone with false info and ruin their career. That’s EXACTLY what Amber did to Johnny. It’s already been proven he’s innocent.

Elaine and Rottenborn changed their entire trial defense strategy in closing arguments, by making this a "1st Amendment free speech issue". You are NOT allowed to do this--especially because it was not argued during the trial itself. It is a horrible argument anyway, as evidenced by the fact that defamation exists...which was the entire basis of this trial. I am SHOCKED Johnny's lawyers did not object to this...so that their objection was recorded for appeal, if necessary. One of many, many things they missed during this trial. They did much better than Amber's lawyers...but by no means a flawless job.
Elaine misrepresented not only the law itself, but the actual testimony of witnesses in the trial. She tried to create a new narrative. The 1st Amendment issue was one example. Problem is, Amber went from:
1) I did not write the op-ed....to
2) I wrote it, but it was not about Johnny.....to
3) It was not JUST about Johnny......to
4) He said I was lying, so I wrote it the op-ed about him to defend myself.....
That is the typical rationale path of a liar, when they get caught lying or they are called out.

I agree that Johnny Depp's team missed some serious thing's. It still baffles me that Camille did not point out to the jury that Amber admitted on the stand about the Op Ed being about Johnny. I was shocked that Camille did not stop right then and there and say "so your testimony today under oath is that you wrote the op-ed about Johnny Depp so that you could fight the power of a powerful man." That was a major misstep.
For the cross-examination of Heards sister, I just wanted to scream because it was done so poorly.

I never was in celebrity gossip at all, but back in these days nearly every normal person knew, that JD lost his things because of her saying he is an abuser. In the context to the metoo movement he was canceled very quick and spoken guilty before proof and a blanket of ignorance has been put on that like 'Guilty without trial now go away, hush hush'. Yesterday, Judge gave them instruction on how today should go and she stated them that, Nothing apart form the things which are present in the evidence should be mentioned and Elaine again mentioned tabloid which were not present in the evidence. They cant follow simple instructions. Even you can see Camille reacting to this and directing her eyes to judge Like "Seriously"
according to ambers team, taking responsibility isnt admitting things youve done wrong, taking responsibility is doing what amber wants and what makes her happy

It stuck out for me also, but i think its because she was referencing something someone else said, for example Johnny's lawyer saying "she's taken his children's inheritance" and she was like "they a'int getting ship!" but it came off as cold and callus, which it is, because she's reparded.

She didn't make any sense. She just went off on a tangent. It was too hard to follow. She just went quickly from one thing, to the next. I didn't get what she was referring to near the beginning when she said something about him being married to his sister in law, or someone's sister in law.

I mean, all of Depps witnesses were taking a position against her, though it was more against her narrative, while she blames Johnny's character and his witnesses' validity. She is much more dismissive of their arguments and either says they're wrong, or doesn't answer.
