    During the turn Zane defused Cyber End Dragon, what if he instead used Power Bond to fusion summon a 5600 ATK Cyber Twin Dragon? It's more attack than E-Hero Wildedge, and he would have a Cyber Dragon left over. Could he destroy Wildedge with Twin, then E-Hero Bubbleman with Cyber Dragon, then swing for game with Cyber Twin Dragon? Unless I'm thinking this wrong, this could be a major misplay for Zane

    Jaden could've won on turn 4.
    Turn 1: Zane plays Cyber End Dragon and sets De-fusion. Then plays Different Dimension Capsule to banish Card From The Different Dimension.
    Turn 2: Jaden Plays Elemental Hero Wildheart, equips Cyclone Boomerang. He Plays wild Half on Cyber End Dragon (summoning a token with 2000atk on Zane's field). He attacks the original Cyber End Dragon, to which Zane responds by playing De-fusion (Summoning 3 Cyber Dragons and having a Cyber End Token with 2000Atk). Jaden has no choice but to attack the token, destroying both monsters and Different Dimension Capsule (Inflicting 500Lp damage to Zane).
    (Zane's Lp=3500).
    Here is where Jaden makes the winning move!... He sets Draining Shield AND Soul Union.
    Turn 3: Zane reveals that the card that had been banished was actually Card From A Different Dimension, allowing him and Jaden to draw 2 cards (Zane draws Return Soul for his draw phase then Future Fusion and Cyber Kirin by his card's effect). (Jaden Draws Warrior Returning Alive and Emergency Provisions).
    Zane attacks directly with all 3 Cyber Dragons, Jaden cancels out one attack with Draining Shield.
    (Jaden's Lp= 1900).
    Zane then sets Return Soul and ends his turn.
    Turn 4 (Jaden Wins): Jaden Draws Polymerization. Jaden Plays The Warrior Returning Alive to bring back Elemental Hero Wildheart. He then plays Polymerization to fuse it with Elemental Hero Bladedge to summon Elemental Hero Wildedge.
    HE THEN ACTIVATES SOUL UNION
    to increase Elemental Hero Wildedge'd Atk to 5200 (by selecting Bladedge in the graveyard).
    Jaden then wins the duel by attacking all three Cyber Dragons with Elemental Hero Wildege, inflicting 3100 damage per attack.
    Zane looses a combined total of 9300Lp and has no way to defend himself.

Because both duels take place immediately after each other and there are circumstances where Noah could’ve won sooner. Adrien would've won if he didn't use Crest Burn (and thus not Fog Castle's effect, meaning his next Battle Phase is NOT skipped), but instead just used 2x Break the Seal to grab Left Leg of the Forbidden One and summoned it to attack for the win (and what a majestic victory it would've been).
      He made the right play though. The chance of Nightmare Shuffle having set Delta Barrier was 3x higher than Hand Destruction, and on top of that, thanks to Hand Destruction's 4-card draw he had a far bigger chance to recover from being Hand Destruction'd (he almost did, in fact) than from being Delta Barrier'd.
      Another big turn was the turn Adrien used his 4K ATK Exodius to attack Uria. If he attacked Hamon instead, Yubel wouldn't have been able to play Armityle, causing Adrien to win. HOWEVER, Yubel also made a misplay here and should've put Hamon in DEF mode to prevent it from being destroyed, since clearly the 1K damage was far less valuable than keeping Hamon on the field. If neither player misplayed (well, really just Yubel as without her misplay, Adrien's misplay wouldn't be possible), the end-result would be that the duel would play out entirely the same, just both players having 1K LP more (since Hamon's DEF effect would force it instead of Uria to be the attack target), Adrien would've had 2800 LP which still would've lost with Yubel vs Grinder Golem.

    Easily the graduation match and duel is one of my favorites both to establish Jaden's character before the end of the season as well as say goodbye to Zane for awhile. Him getting such a big draw and win against the main character established him as one of my favorite rivals. I have always said that Zane and Chazz feel like two halves of Kaiba taken to the extreme without the other. Chazz is Kaiba's selfish attitude made fully into a person lacking the serious skill that he had to back up his attitude, Zane though was always a honorable duelist (at this point at least) and yet was just as skilled as Kaiba in terms of his dueling ability. The ending though is my favorite, just the big numbers on display the perfect back and forth it's all incredible and I love it.

    • @shadowdragon714

      thats a very fair analysis of Zane/Chazz being two halves of Kaiba. Though i will have to concede that chazz is decently skilled, but they give him such a niche deck list. And i guess as writers, knowing how much kaiba is loved by the community, they needed someone to be close enough with out being a direct carbine copy for the next series. all in all, they did a great job with it.

    • @FentonHardyFan
      @FentonHardyFan 2 года назад

      Huh, I don't think Chazz and Kaiba have much in common at all! To be honest, I always figured the writers intentionally made Chazz to be sort of the opposite of the previous show's rival. I love them both through, great characters!

      Saying Chazz lacks skill is a bit odd, he arguably ends the series as one of, if not the strongest duelist, no?
      In one of the final episodes he beats Jaden (He has game against Jaden but was forced to throw the duel because of his pro-duelist contract) and then beats a full powered Aster who just received the final and strongest D-Hero fusion.

    There is one way that Jaden could've won the duel.
    (Jaden's turn): When Jaden summoned Elemental Hero Rampart Blaster he could've used its anime effect to attack directly (while halfing its Atk).
    Zane's Lp= 1000.
    Zane's Turn): Then Zane plays out his next move, which Jaden counters with De-Fusion and Elemental Burst. Cyber Phoenix is destroyed and Zane draws Time Fusion. He plays time fusion (banishing Card From A different Dimension), then ends his turn.
    (Jaden's turn): He draws Final Fusion, sets it and ends his turn.
    (Zane's Turn): He draws Damage Polarizer and then an extra 2 cards from Card From A Different Dimension (Cybernetic Fusion Support and Limiter Removal) while Jaden Draws (Miracle Fusion and Fusion Recovery). Time Fusion resolves and Zane summons Cyber End Dragon. Zane sets Damage Polarizer and ends his turn.
    (Jaden's Turn): He uses Miracle Fusion to Summon Elemental Hero Rampart Blaster, he then attacks directly (for half of its Atk).
    Zane's Lp goes from 1000 to 0.
    Jaden Wins.

That's just one, maybe you can find another way Jesse or Jaden could have won earlier

    There are so many great duels in the series I'd love to see your take on but I feel like you've got to do Zane's first match vs Jesse that never finished, and speaking of season finale duels; Jaden vs Yubel to end S3?

    Fun Fact: Had Zane used Limiter Removal after Batte Fusion this would be the numbers:
    Zane attack whit 8K CED to 4.9K SFW
    Jaden uses Battle Fusion (4900 + 8000 -> 12900)
    Zane uses Battle Fusion (8000 + 12900 -> 22900) then Limiter Removal (22900 X 2 -> 45800)
    Jaden uses Final Fusion (45800 + 12900 -> 58700 Damage)
    900 extra damage

    • @SheerDotCom
      @SheerDotCom 2 года назад

      8+12=20, scale it up to the thousands and 8000+12900 actually equals 20900 rather than 22900. After Limiter Removal we'd be left with 41800, and then Final Fusion would total 54700 (3100 less than the official total)

    During the first duel, I have thought of a way Jaden could've won. First Jaden summon Avian into defence to prevent taking damage from Zane's 1st Cyber Dragon. Next turn, when he summons Thunder Giant, he also summons Wroughweiler to deal 3200 damage - Zane: 800 LP. After Zane attacks with Cyber Twin Dragon, Jaden would have 1500 LP, and this time he adds Avian instead of Clayman. Duirng his next turn, he can now use Avian and Bubbleman to summon Mariner, set Transcendent Wings face-down, and then attck directly for game.
    Jaden could’ve won on his second turn during the rematch. All he had to do was set Soul Union during his first turn. Next turn when he summons Elemental Hero Wildedge, Soul Union would boost its ATK to 5200 then attacking all 3 Cyber Dragons would result in a 9300 damage OTK. (Although this does depend if Soul Union has an turn specific activation requirement).

    A couple I would like to see is was Joey about to beat Yugi in the Duelist Kingdom finals. The second was Bakura about to beat Yugi in the Battle City preliminaries.

      The 'Was X about to beat Y' series are mainly for duels that could've gone either way or were sort of contentious. Idr Yami Yugi vs Joey in DK, but for Yami Yugi vs Bakura, that was a pretty definitive win for Yami, even if it was only because he drew Slider at the last second

    • @Raidenleon
      @Raidenleon 2 года назад

      @@jocoolshow Ok. The downside of both is there were shenanigans, Marik cheating forcing Yami to stop until Yami Bakura took over. And the Dark Sage maneuver in DK.

    If I may recommend a few duels for this analysis series: Jaden vs Yubel (both Duels), the Pharaoh vs Kaiba in the Colosseum, Yuya vs Jack Atlas (any duel) and Jaden vs Aster (rematch after Jaden gets the Neo-Spacians). By the way I wanted to say that I really like this kind of videos, keep up the good work.

    Holy shit, some of the plays in this match were actually really smart.... Defusioning his Cyber Dragon so it's no longer under the effect of Future Fusion... Jaden using Provisions on an activated card so he doesn't loose out on the effect but gains the Life Points. I do NOT remember the anime being this interesting with it's plays, I only remember it making up bullshit, this almost feels like an actual duel! What a great match!

    Great video like always, but a couple things I'd like to point out because I tried to do this Duel on YGOPRO and EDOPRO.
    1.) The way Zane used Card from a Different Dimension is actually an illegal move since it has to be Banished fae up to activate its effect, but Different Dimension Capsula Banishes face down.
    2.) I'm not sure if De-Fusion was still using its anime effect at this point in the series or if it was the real-life version now. Since if it was like the real-life version then Jaden could have won because it can only summon the Fusion Material from the player who activates Graveyard, thus he could De-Fuse Cyber End and Zane would be defenseless, He could then use Spy Hero to take Zane's Polymerization and use it to Fuse Avain and Bubbleman and bust out Mariner to attack directly and drop Zane to 600 LP. Then next turn Zane would draw Phoenix who wouldn't be strong enough to beat Mariner so all he could do is play it in defense, but then Jaden's next turn could just set a card so Mariner's effect would allow it to attack directly and win Jaden the Duel.

    Zane could also have used de-fusion on Judai's monsters since the materials would not return to the field since it's not his monster but his opponents, both in the first duel and second duel and then direct attack for game.
