2:22 I was* in Finland* Feb-May 2018 Thanks for waiting for my new video ❤️I'm communicating with you guys here!!! ▷ INSTAGRAM instagram.com/dyoreee/ ▷ TWITTER twitter.com/dyoreee
You are becoming a Finnish person. Half a bottle of alcohol and it is so much easier to talk about difficult things and open your heart ❤️. And this comment is not ment to be an insult but it is sometimes hard to start talking about your worries without a little encouragement. As we say "rohkaisuryyppy". Don't drink too much.
01:15 Ah, this one. "Lonkero" literally means "Tentacle" but it just Finnish twist of words "Long Drink." It dates 1952, when summer olympic were held in Finland. It was supposed to be only manurfactured for summer olympics but it turned out it was so popular that they continued making it to this day. That is gin and grapefruit. 05:30 .Oh, this is going to be GOOD! It always tastes like cough syrup to me. Probaly because at one point there was kind of a fad of making cough syrups salty Liquorice flavor.... 07:03 Direct translation would be "Noble spirits." It's local cut brandy, what you're drinking is quite strong(1 star) has 1/4 cognac. I'm told it's east-german invention, they had lots of vodka(for obvious reasons) but since they were isolated from the west they had very little Brandy. So they mixed it with Vodka, and there you go. 09:55 That is bit of a....difficult case. Koskenkorva kinda is Vodka...but isn't. That's because it has added sugar and Vodka is no supposed to have any spices in it. However EU regulations do classify it as Vodka. It's more close to this en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Br%C3%A4nnvin than Vodka. Think of it as say...jack daniels whiskey? I mean, real conniseurs would NEVER say Jack is proper whiskey, but it does the job: easy to drink, nothing amazing and gets you buzzed.
The mint is superb chilled close to zero, and especially if it's a cold day, like - 20'C or lower. You have a drink or two, and then go outside and take a deep breath, and... kaboom!
My condolences. My grandma (the last and the closest grandparent I had) passed just a week ago and it's a tough thing to process... talk to people, even us internet strangers... it helps. And yeah, I would rather listen to some "heavy subjects" than the normal superficial and superfluous chit-chat that's too common on RUclips and the internet. Be real and be yourself if you can and we'll love you for that :) Sending positive thoughts and virtual hugs.. be well!
The Finnish Jaloviina ("noble Brännvin", colloquially Jallu) is a cut brandy with 38% (one star) or 40% (three stars) ABV. It has a strong taste and 4-7 grams of sugar per liter, depending on the grade.[1][2] Special or vintage batches are also bottled, these may have slightly higher alcohol and sugar content.[3][4] The brandy used for Jaloviina is of French origin. Jaloviina Tammi is a limited-edition bottling made with cognac to celebrate the 100 years of Finnish independence.
Aww, such a sweet and funny little video. Hehe, furthermore: I can't stop smiling at the fact that your actual irl glasses look muuuuch cuter than certain similar filters on some apps!!
usually they check your absence until high school/lukio but ones you go to college/yliopisto or continue your studies else where they don't do that any more.
Nice video! 👍 ❤️ Can u do a video about "tips for european traveling to South korea"? For exampel what to do and not to do. Or videos about what you think about north korea, japan, china, thailand? 😳
This video covers my thought about N.Korea :D! and tips for traveling S.Korea, that's great subject! I'm not sure when I can cover that subject, but I'll defo do it in the future!
At least try seaweed soup. Go to the paleis of Korea and visit the Seoul tower! :) those things I liked the most from Korea. Don't go to a temple sadly the people there are very rasistic and in general it is not fun.
I really really love your videos! I mean u so real And sweet person that I just.. awwwbkkb I don’t know. But I hope you will keep uploading these great videos :)) lots of Love xoxo ❤️❤️😍
Talk too deep? It's never too deep. Although it's possibly just be being very comfortable with talking about almost anything. People are so afraid of what others will think of them that they don't dare to talk about anything other than shallow subjects. People don't dare to show themselves and always wear a mask.
Long Drink or "Lonkero" = (Pitkä juoma translated directly to Finnish) and originally its invention happened during the Summer Olympics in Helsinki, Finland, 1952. The Grape flavour makes its taste and there is an interesting story behind that occurrence
SoulofSol 한솔 great to hear it!:) my girlfriend is searching for a side job in Korea to. But after moon upped the minimum salary it is hard to find it. She will move to the Netherlands next year. So if you ever around the Netherlands, just give a scream and we can meet together with my girlfriend. :)! I can show you the Netherlands 🇳🇱
Funny thing, but you might just be - if not the first - one of the very few non-Finnish people who drinks their shot of Koskenkorva without any strong facial expressions :D
Well you definately weren't drunk. Lonkero's original taste is grapefruit. You know, one often hears "you need to learn love yourself". But it is good to understand you are not perfect, nobody is. It teaches you humility and compassion. People who have very high opinion of themselves, are just unbearable, and if they never had problems, it's hard for them to relate with people who have problems. So, maybe that phase of self hate however bears fruit.
Right, it's an old idea of some ascets and beggar monks: suffer to develop your understanding in suffering, and in the process develop compassion. And people who grew with (a) sibling(s) 🤬😫😭 knew it before ascets! Problems, life's great (but mean) teacher!
I have a weird problem these days, I don't stress anymore and I feel confident about almost anything. It might sounds like a good thing, but it really isn't. Without stress you will get nothing done, thus my efficiency in everything has dropped.
Great video. It would be interesting to hear you talk about the difference between drinking hard liquor (40-50%) in Finland and Soju in Korea in a future episode. I have the impression that most people don't drink hard liquor in Korea, but drink insane amounts of Soju. So is it a myth or not?
I think your impression is quite right! Of course, there's difference between individual people, but I think commonly, in daily life , Korean people tend to drink Soju, and also beer, or mixed (soju+beer). Stronger drinks are for special occasion, or when they can spend some amounts of money!!
I'm sooooo late at this video. But if no one else has commented about the first one it should taste grape fruit. Aaaand yeah u get drunk quickly. Specially if u are sitting down and drinking and then getting up... WOOOOW SHIIEET I'M DRUNK!
Yay new video! 😁
I personally enjoy deep talks and think they help a lot with dealing with issues. Dont be afraid of being yourself for the channel
Aww. Thank you! I'm not afraid anymore thanks to you:)
you look great no matter what, dont worry about makeup :P Was an interesting video seeing you try the drinks!! Thanks, hope your doing well!

Haha thanks for the comment! :) ok I'm not drinking much 😜😜
One nice thing in winter is when you have a bit of Minttuviina and mix a bit of it into some hot cocoa. You'll feel super warm, guaranteed.
Original Long Drink is grapefruit flavor.
I love your deep thoughts and life stories. I enjoyed this.
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed!

oh.. just a week ago? it must be hard time. Sending lots of hugs from me, too. You can come here whenever you need to talk to someone!

WOW!!!!! Thank you :) Are you alcohol expertise?
from wikipedia, i like Jaloviina.
Your bare face is gorgeous.
You don't need makeup to look beautiful, BUT, it's a way of expressing yourself.
Aww! Thank you
Aww, such a sweet and funny little video. Hehe, furthermore: I can't stop smiling at the fact that your actual irl glasses look muuuuch cuter than certain similar filters on some apps!!
Aww, your comment is so much sweeter!
Lonkero is grapefruit flavoured drink! :D
and fun fact the name is in english "tentacle" :D plus it is a word play from long drink :P
lonkero is the first drink you drank :D
and jaloviina we call "poor mans brandy" :D
usually they check your absence until high school/lukio but ones you go to college/yliopisto or continue your studies else where they don't do that any more.
Did u know that Koskenkorva is actually a town in Finland? Plus I live in there :) love you
I just subscribed your channel. You seem like a nice person. BTW I'm from Finland

Koskenkorva and jaloviina is the stuff that grows hair on ur chest (not literally)
Your reaction to Jallu and Salmiakki kossu was fun😁
Talk too deep? It's never too deep. Although it's possibly just be being very comfortable with talking about almost anything. Koskenkorva Salmiakki, so good. Right?
Long Drink or "Lonkero" = (Pitkä juoma translated directly to Finnish) and originally its invention happened during the Summer Olympics in Helsinki, Finland, 1952.
The Grape flavour makes its taste and there is an interesting story behind that occurrence
It's grapefruit, not grape. Grapefruit = Greippi. Grape = Rypäle
Long drinks are delicious; it’s a shame I’ve not been able to find any in California. Kiipis!
Damn girl! U went ham with alcohol & handle it like a boss, impressive!
if you like mint chocolate, then you should try but minttu viina to the hot chocolate :)
