No, he remembered what Thanatos said to him "Gods decide your fate and the Sisters make it so." He has been a pawn since the first game. He realizes that right at the end of God of War 3 where Athena wants to obtain the power of Hope from Kratos. That's where he refuses to be a pawn anymore and sacrifices himself instead of giving it to Athena.

Listening to this in 2021 literally brings tears to my eyes. Remembering my childhood playing this game on all difficulties cos I loved it so much. 2018 God of War was a great game but this (GOW II) will always be my favourite!!

I honestly would rather blast this music than any of that pop shit they play on the radio any day!!!! These guys are musical masters!!!! everytime i hear that build up and that low basson playing melodically and then that chorus coming out of nowhere.... man that shit gives me goosebumps and i can't help but smile!!!!! it actually makes me want to kick some ass!!!! i just started playing this series... man to be honest it's a great game... story, graphics, music, and all around a great product!!!!! its number one in my book!!!!! god bless sec and santa monica!!!! who agrees?!?!

Como decirlo, esta sería como el "inicio" de la musica antes del climax, y si, se parece a la de Hercules, pero en realidad seguiría el soundtrack dentro del Coloso de Rodas y el combate serio contra el Kraken (en mi opinión, debieron poner esa en el combate contra Hercules) y cuando llegas a la cabeza del Coloso, empezaría a sonar esa musica del combate contra Hercules, que es el q ustedes decian
