Yeah. I'm kind of visual with a lot of stuff. I can't think creatively if I have to work in a program that looks like it hasn't been updated since its release.
My first was Cubase. Then it was Sonar. I stumbled across FL with version 9 and fell in love with it immediately. I swore I would never use anything else. I bought a Launchpad Pro for Christmas. I loaded Ableton. I had tried to use it with the previous versions that came with other items, but did not like it at all(ugly, difficult, and crippled with the free versions). When I loaded the new version Lite, the limitations were not nearly as severe; consequently, I vowed to learn it in January 2017 to make a fair judgement. I now only use Ableton. The new Simpler effectively replaces Edison and Slicex, and the warping in Ableton makes it the obvious choice, especially for sample-based music. Ableton even sounds better to my ear. It was hard to break away at first, and I ended up loading FL as a VST in Ableton, but eventually, I discovered I could get from idea to product much more quickly in Ableton. I have yet to upgrade to the full version because it is really expensive and I had to buy a new computer to run it better. FL= easy to use and cheap - looks GREAT with version 12- tons of great tuts online including AVE. Ableton=sounds better, many more options(much more sophisticated), but much more expensive - it is also VERY picky with third-party VSTs and is not very visually pleasant unless you load third-party skins, tuts are great online, but harder to learn since it does so much more than FL. Remember - they are tools - use what you can work with best. I thought it was FL, but turned out not to be FOR ME.
Stephen Stalter hello stephen... looks like im kind of going in the same direction... i bought launchpad pro... fl 12.4 version supports but very minimum.. tuff to grab knowledge in short span .. Did u figure out the cromatic note mode in fl + launchpad pro..
@Ave Mcree: About the navigation in FL studio: you will work faster, if you learn the shortcuts (or arrange your windows to have everything in one big screen), BUT even if you work with "windows" and shortcuts, YOU will win a lot of time in FL, especially if you are producing when on the road and have no controllers - you will use your Laptop keyboard and FL masters that beautifully.
I use Ableton, but I've thought time and time again about buying Edison as a standalone plugin (they charge 80$) because of how good it is for processing samples. De-click, normalization, stereo processing, affecting length/pitch... it packs so many awesome features that Ableton (or most DAWs) struggle to replicate.
I started with FL... And I really loved it; I still have the latest version but I don't use it! too many problems with their software and big projects crash a lot... Ableton also has piano roll. And IMHO ableton is more powerful than FL, Pro tools, and Reason combined. Once you get used to it's interface and know your shortkeys, you'll be producing music on the fly! with Jbridge I connected all of my old 32bit VST's like Nexus & Ignite... Ableton's for sure the winner when it comes to professional production.
Fl studio is complex and granular Abelton simple and easy Its took almost 10 years for me to pickup fl but it has got lot of depth in it.. automation .. sound designing .. I started ableton like a week now and im loving it bcoz of the launchpad.. fl dont have a great midi controllers support. The reason i love fl is because of pattern and track view page and i love the built in plugs with fl.. For song writers and designers fl is better choice For quick beats nd djs ableton is good
As a 15+ yr. FL Studio user I must say Ableton wins without any doubt in my mind. Fl Studio has a lot to offer however it's a mess compared to Ableton. Image Line is compensating a lack of programming flexibility with workarounds and additional software which adds yet another step to the process. It feels like there is a core covered with a pile of gadgets. Ableton is versatile in its core and it gets even more flexible and straightforward with new inspiring functionalities without tedious clutter.
I agree on everything except the sampling section. It definitly feels smoother to beginners asell as more natural in fl studio. especialy because of the pattern system and slicex
A producer who learns his craft in Live will always swear by Live, while the same could be said for FL Studio. The main difference is that FL Studio has a "noob" reputation, because it's easy to pirate, and also because it was basically the first of its kind, allowing easy song creation.
Akira Menai "because it's easy to pirate," How many times i heard this excuse for FL?! hmmm maybe 1M Any software is easy to pirate, just ask i will give you its link as a proof :)
Great video, you are 90% on point, been using many DAW since 2004 but for me I can get better quality in FL , Live it's a little high on the mids so I have to compensate. I always wonder why but cant find an answer about that anywhere. The only thing I disagree with you in on the Edison , which I really like but you can edits a lot better in Live but even inside Live I open Edison from time to time to be able to use the diferents scripts like the noise reduction and others... anyway good job, I seen others videos about this and nobody has made it so simple and precise like you did on the video :) keep doing your thing Bro!
Tampa Redd yah fruity loops seems more beginner friendly for people who are just starting and then once they can figure out the basics stuff then they should move to ableton but no hate towards fl studio users
DIFFINEX Official huh I may agree bc I tried fl demo before ableton. But then quickly went to ableton: huge midi controller support, visual interface and my work flow etc. I prefer ableton but I guess it's all subjective.
@@dcy4063 I think it's retarted to think nowdays that there is a better DAW than another. FL is great. Cubase is great. Didnt use ableton but i heard good things about it. Same goes for Studio one.
IMO, the biggest difference between the two is workflow so one is probably not better than the other per se but it's dependent upon your specific workflow and what works best for you. All DAWs these days do mostly the same thing, so workflow is likely the biggest draw or deterrent.
Two things. 1 is the external instrument feature that allows midi recording from hardware synths. 2 is the instrument track that allows stacking vst's for advanced sound design. I don't know how this works in fl
i don’t understand why people keep saying the effects on the master don’t render in FL. i’ve literally never had that problem. every effect on my master track will render. always has. since FL 10.
Well assigning the channels and the rest that people think in FL is quite long, you can just create a startup template and it will open the way you want :) Easy as that! :)))
lol, I guess I will be doing a follow up video of why I don't use FL Studio no more.... Just the chord midi effect alone in Ableton and the audio effects crush..
This video almost makes me cry, it seems so biased.. FL is WAY stronger than said in this video, he hypes about every "advantage" ableton has and talks negatively about the ones that FL has, while FL actually has really really strong efects and vsts that people buy to use in ableton. Even the latency issues is bullshit, Ive tried both multiple times!
Blano Satano guess what it's ok to admit you didn't watch the video. It's ok to admit you clearly didn't see I gave both DAWs an honest review. If you feel a certain way about the cold hard facts then perhaps you should do like me and complain in the official forums about changes needed.
Sorry dude but I commented on the way you talked about FL in every section, I watched the whole video because I was interested in the title, not because I care which is better because I use both. For example edison is way more powerful tool than you gave it and you know it if you used it over an hour. You also did not compare mixer or piano roll at all and even made midi options seem confusing in FL which is pretty foul when comparing to the page thats found in ableton :D
I don't understand why people don't just arrange the windows so they're all visible at the same time. I have them setup so I can see the playlist, channel rack, mixer, and a few effects all without covering each other up.
@@crawbug8932 if you have multiple monitors it's even better. I have the mixer and some plug-ins on one monitor, the playlist on the main one, and probably the piano roll or the drum sequencer on another one
It’s all personal preference, I tried Ableton and it just wasn’t for me. I’ve also tried logic and I just feel like I’m moving too slow. So FL gang all day.🔥
by rewiring fl into ableton wouldnt you get almost every pro of those software toghether, working on samples with fl but rendering with ableton, for example?
I think fl studio is a better deal with the cheaper price and like the others say there is way more tutorials about fl so its easier to learn more things about the software to get the most out of it and also visually fl is very appealing and runs smoothly
Spot on comparison, as someone who easily loses focus I need everything to be on the same page which is why I love Ableton, the live session window though doesn't really get much use for much of my stuff and would be happier if I could get a proper mix window much of like what FL has. I find the plugins on the bottom of the screen get way to crowded and it's really hard on the eyes at times.
I fuck with Ableton more imo its more versatile and powerful. That's not taking anything away from FL studio because it's an amazing DAW once you really learn it but for me Ableton >
I was a FL Studio user to. I remember my desktop crash and I try Ableton demo in my laptop. I went to a workshop and the certified trainer show me a lot of amazing things you can do in Ableton. I bought Ableton and I hardly use FL Studio now. best thing that happened to my desktop lol
KooschkoBear I feel you i went from fl studio to Ableton I remember the 1st i opened up ableton it looked like a foreign language to me, confusing as hell but once i understood it's functions forget about it lol shit is one of the best
KooschkoBear Yeah its great and easy once you learn the basics. What really helped me out was learning the music theory once i did ableton made way more sense to me lol
King Commit I wouldn't be able to mess with ableton. It seems too simple for me. Plus, I'm a visual person, and Ableton looks like something from Windows 95.
Got over a decade on Ableton, I call it the Lambo of DAW's b/c if you know what you're doing you can work twice as fast in it than any other DAW. #Facts
A little out of topic, but i recently take Studio One 5 professional with Splice "rent to own", so a little monthly charge, and this version has Melodyne Essential in it, and functionality like extracting a "Chord track" that can be follow by others, that simplify greatly the harmonizing process... a real game changer. I don't use ableton anymore...
Always read this about FL "but FL studio is easier to learn". That mean it's more attract, motivate your laziness, and if you used to think like that: laziness will grow up in your unconsciousness, and that will not help you in making a great stuff. If your brain used to easiness or simplicity things, believe me that's not good for him over the long term. Take the hard choice or the hard way to learn every time that's how you make your brain work well all the time, even you become elder, and any other things you will feel like nothing or inconsiderable, you will feel the professionalism that way. Don't know if i clear my point enough, but that's at least my opinion.
I use Reaper. I used to use fl studio. I couldn't afford ableton, but reaper has a similar interface and works amazingly regardless of the low price point. The page travel on FL is what killed it for me. I need everything layed out in front of me.
Ok, so I’ve been using fl studio demo for a while, so then one time, my mom found a product key for Ableton live lite and imo, Ableton live is actually much easier for me than fl studio. Like Ableton live is so much easier on my eyes, especially on dark mode, the workflow is a lot better for me. So yeah, I’m probably just gonna save up a fuck ton of money for Ableton live 10 Suite. (Or pirate it ;) )
The one you know the most is the one you should go with, or at least be your main DAW. As for me i love Pro Tools and Cubase as well, they all do the same thing, but each of them have their strengths and weaknesses.
#ABLETONCULT I love Ableton with all my heart and soul but The drums in Fl studio just hit harder. I love the Sampler and warping but as far as customer response for me, FL studio has had a better initial response than ableton, im guessing its familiarity in sound or sonic representation on mobile devices/laptops
I've learned to drop in my drum samples and copy and paste into a pattern in an audio track in ableton instead of a midi track. Its a pain to do but your drums end up hitting harder for whatever reason
Ever just try mastering your 808's with eq's or multiband dynamics? The use a glue compressor over the master track. My drums hit really fucking hard that way.
You left out price. For Abelton Live, just to get your foot in the door is $500, for the suite It's $800. Plus the cost of updates and upgrades. An educational version of the suite is $500. With Fl studio, for all the bells and whistles, I'm talking every "out the box" plugin Image line has available, the cost is $900. Licensing, upgrades, updates, whatever there is, all included for that price. To get your foot in the door it's 200 bucks for producer. With licensing! And if that's not enough, for $300 You can get the signature edition. Which includes a hand selected group of plugins. For a measly $200 You can get an educational version of the signature edition. What's more, the demo version has all the plugins from the "all in" bundle so you can see what potential the software has. IMHO Fl Studio is the better value. And is used by some of the leading producers in the industry. Hail Fl Studio!
for the newbie, here some tips for you. find the video of daw that you want to buy learn by video try some trial if you enjoy that, just buy. dont spend your money to much for daw you need to buy some plugin and then you will need some gear 1. midi controller * headphone and you will need to buy some interface 2. interface and you will thinking that you need to produce some vocal 3. microphone 4. cable and you will thinking about some speaker monitor 5. speaker monitor 6. cable and you may think that you need a singnal procesor for a deepest and chrispynes 7. preamp 8. compressor and you will think that you need some tube processor or etc wow. dont waste your time to find the best daw dude
In fl if you render a loop, and send it back in you have to chop it at the very beginning because it usually has a tiny delay unlike albeton its completely accurate if you export a loop and bring it back in
Been on FL since Adam & Eve got mad love, however for about 7 years grinding with Ableton Live the work flow is too clean. Ableton does have a 32 bit dedicated version so that's not exactly a win for FL unfortunately. Ultimately they are both great DAW platforms, without a shadow of a doubt when it comes to composing a track, it's Ableton hands down as far as work flow. FL has its wins and share of dope unique plugs but it's a mother trying to get quality out of it but you can get hella creative with it so I keep it as an ace. Honestly the battle is between Ableton vs Logic and FL vs Reason in my opinion. All are on their own Levels and have distinct signatures, Iv'e been down with all of them in depth over the period of many moons. Never been closed minded to upping my production game, this was a chill comparison fairly on point so big UP to you Ave. As always whoever trying to collab i got you soundcloud.com/sfvp/bet stay blessed. -CLUTCH
Cult Snarez London On Da Track didn't show much but Sneakin is a great beat made in Ableton. Hopefully DJ Dahi shows something someday, he also uses Ableton.
If you're an ableton player and are curious about FL Studio, consider using FL studio as an instrument (VST) ( when DAWs become VSTs you get the best of both worlds) then form an opinion. FL studio is really versatile
Mater buss: In FLstudio you have to structure your project accordingly if you want to split your tracks. I use master only to hold the compressor and maybe some diagnostic plugins and for channels which control each other, those i usually export together where the controller is muted. FL has some features and core concepts which stretch back for over a a decade now (FL is over 10 wow .. i'm old), those tend to stick around because it completely breaks backward compatibility if they change it (they did it before, they know), plus it adds a bit of a learning curve. MP3 and mono: What is mp3 and mono?
Y'all only don't use ableton cause it don't have gross beat ... once y'all get over that and open y'all mind to production you will realize Albeton is fl studio on crack everything just aligns perfect not to mention the loops and samples come easy and perfect in almost the first try
I'm learning FL12. I play METAL guitar. I've been working on playing it through the DAW and I've been trying to get it working like it should for 3 weeks. Today I found out there's a new driver for my interface, and FL still wont work right. Lag static, breaking. That's the guitar. I've also been trying beats and mixing cool bass and dance beats. That's not so bad, but gosh, you can spend 3 hours just trying to lay down a decent drum track. That's why I searched for this video. I think I want to try something that's not so labor intensive. FL studio wears me out my friend.
if fl studio doesn't support any external instruments like midi keyboard or launchpad that's not good. but I guess fl has ggreat souds. But! In ableton, you can produce any of the fl studio sounds, you can do any sounds in ableton and it supports launchpad and midi keyboard so you can compose what you want in a very little time!
Well fl support mackie language but as far as midi assignments. Its by far the worst. Even with it's "fully integrated" controller. Either way, the younger generation isn't concerned about it (sadly).
@Ave Mcree: About the automation: it comes on top of audio/midi, as well, in FL studio. It used to come on top for years now. Bro, what kind of videos are you putting together?
i've heard from people that the quality in ableton is much better than fl studio but i don't think its really true, i tried to make an exact beat to check it out but idk it was kinda the same
I used FL Studio before. But I find it so complicated to use. So I tried switching to LMMS, which is a bit simpler than FL Studio. It's so simple in fact, that it paved my way into using Ableton Live which is way more simple than FL and LMMS combined. Ableton wins in simplicity of usage.
In your humble opinion, what do you think is the "best" DAW?
FL Studio

Prove it... Waiting on upload.... Bullshit is what SMELLS..not what sounds....
Stephen Stalter hello stephen... looks like im kind of going in the same direction... i bought launchpad pro... fl 12.4 version supports but very minimum.. tuff to grab knowledge in short span ..
Did u figure out the cromatic note mode in fl + launchpad pro..
Stephen Stalter Ableton is a grey bitch
@Ave Mcree: About the navigation in FL studio: you will work faster, if you learn the shortcuts (or arrange your windows to have everything in one big screen), BUT even if you work with "windows" and shortcuts, YOU will win a lot of time in FL, especially if you are producing when on the road and have no controllers - you will use your Laptop keyboard and FL masters that beautifully.
I didn't know Ableton can also be used for something like that in 7:32 (when you turn the captions on)
I use Ableton, but I've thought time and time again about buying Edison as a standalone plugin (they charge 80$) because of how good it is for processing samples. De-click, normalization, stereo processing, affecting length/pitch... it packs so many awesome features that Ableton (or most DAWs) struggle to replicate.
That’s what I did
I started with FL... Ableton's for sure the winner when it comes to professional production.
you forget to talk about the piano rolls and the mixers i think those are a really important part of a daw but great video anyways =)
Diego Escobar great point. perhaps I'll do a part 2
Ave Mcree thanks that would be awesome :)
Fl studio is complex and granular
Abelton simple and easy
Its took almost 10 years for me to pickup fl but it has got lot of depth in it.. automation .. sound designing ..
I started ableton like a week now and im loving it bcoz of the launchpad.. fl dont have a great midi controllers support.
The reason i love fl is because of pattern and track view page and i love the built in plugs with fl..
For song writers and designers fl is better choice
For quick beats nd djs ableton is good
Thanks for the summarize
As a 15+ yr. FL Studio user I must say Ableton wins without any doubt in my mind. Fl Studio has a lot to offer however it's a mess compared to Ableton. Image Line is compensating a lack of programming flexibility with workarounds and additional software which adds yet another step to the process. It feels like there is a core covered with a pile of gadgets.
Ableton is versatile in its core and it gets even more flexible and straightforward with new inspiring functionalities without tedious clutter.
YEAH! I always felt with FL everything is external. Nothing feels native. All the functionality is in plugins.
every daw is best if you know that how to handle it...
I agree on everything except the sampling section.
It definitly feels smoother to beginners asell as more natural in fl studio. especialy because of the pattern system and slicex
No such thing as a best daw imo, it all depends on the producer and their techniques to obtaining results that he/she desires.
A producer who learns his craft in Live will always swear by Live, while the same could be said for FL Studio. The main difference is that FL Studio has a "noob" reputation, because it's easy to pirate, and also because it was basically the first of its kind, allowing easy song creation.
True, I do feel ashamed using it sometimes because everybody and their grandma uses it.
Akira Menai
"because it's easy to pirate,"
How many times i heard this excuse for FL?! hmmm maybe 1M
Any software is easy to pirate, just ask i will give you its link as a proof :)
Sawa3ek Fekr dude get me an abysnth 5 link please!!
Sawa3eQ FekR give me a link😤😂
It's not about the machine. It's about the man behind it.
FL Studio is my religion, tf you talking about.
is shit #ChaingeMyMind
@@EmmanuelAurea #Changeyourgrammar

I started out on Fruity Loops, then graduated to Live!
Tampa Redd yah fruity loops seems more beginner friendly for people who are just starting and then once they can figure out the basics stuff then they should move to ableton but no hate towards fl studio users
That's very insulting, I'm offended
DIFFINEX Official huh I may agree bc I tried fl demo before ableton.
But then quickly went to ableton: huge midi controller support, visual interface and my work flow etc.
I prefer ableton but I guess it's all subjective.
I grew up with Fl pretty much and i see actually most good producers Usin live, isit actually more simple then fruity loops
Red Stallion even tm88 and southside uses fl studio 11
I think FL is the best DAW out there.
@@dcy4063 I don't agree with this reply but I did think it was funnny
@@dcy4063 I think it's retarted to think nowdays that there is a better DAW than another. FL is great. Cubase is great. Didnt use ableton but i heard good things about it. Same goes for Studio one.
FL. I got that shit tatted on me
I'm finna get mine here soon
lmfao
Lol
IMO, the biggest difference between the two is workflow so one is probably not better than the other per se but it's dependent upon your specific workflow and what works best for you. All DAWs these days do mostly the same thing, so workflow is likely the biggest draw or deterrent.
ableton is amazing the only thing i like wayyy more about fl studio is the interface
its easier on the eyes
I know this is an old video, but it was exactly what i needed to decide. Going with FL Studio. Subscribed. Thanks for the video :)
There is no best, it's all about preference..
Two things. 1 is the external instrument feature that allows midi recording from hardware synths. 2 is the instrument track that allows stacking vst's for advanced sound design. I don't know how this works in fl
recording MIDI instruments in FL Studio isn't difficult
Ableton Live Gang 😈
Gold K. Music *Yeah Ableton is dope 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥*
Sabiq Garba Looking at *LIVE* gives me crippling depression. Not too sexy is it ey..
ableton looks like excel
I agree, the default skin isn't the nicest, but the custom skins make Ableton look fire
Sidice hmm nice
i don’t understand why people keep saying the effects on the master don’t render in FL. i’ve literally never had that problem. every effect on my master track will render. always has. since FL 10.
Well assigning the channels and the rest that people think in FL is quite long, you can just create a startup template and it will open the way you want :) Easy as that! :)))
Hey Ableton changed
My lite version of 9
More than 1 year old from the time I sent this
August 2019
It's the best now....jsut love it
FL 20 gang 🔥🔥💯 for life the best daw
SoundBoy Ozeal bro u pirates it stfu
*FL studios typical user*
i really enjoy how energetic this guy is, cheers
Ableton is basically a jack of all trades AND a master of everything
I just did a collaboration with EDWAN remotely - him using FL and me using Ableton. It was fun....both have their strengths and weaknesses.
FL Studio FOREVER!!!♥️♥️♥️
I had to decide so I came here thanks so much for helping!!
FL is better. You feel in control and more creative. Ableton feels restricted and kind of like 'you have to do this or...'
How Sway!!
100% Correct

lol, I guess I will be doing a follow up video of why I don't use FL Studio no more.... Just the chord midi effect alone in Ableton and the audio effects crush..
Yea but it still fells kind of boxed in.Yes please make that video.
Abstract : It's what it is
Real comment: Is a great comparison going into enough depth of the technical aspects and the reason to choose a winner
ive been using fl studio since 2009. but my skills hasnt improve.. lmao
Good video! You made valid points I'm stuck between which one to get your video helped a lot thanks bro👍🎵
this guy doesnt do FL justice
Got anxiety seeing the fl studio layout . What a nightmare! I haven't used it in 1 years. Ableton all the way!
I don't understand why people don't just arrange the windows so they're all visible at the same time. I have them setup so I can see the playlist, channel rack, mixer, and a few effects all without covering each other up.
@@crawbug8932 if you have multiple monitors it's even better. I have the mixer and some plug-ins on one monitor, the playlist on the main one, and probably the piano roll or the drum sequencer on another one
regarding sampling in live, you can sample straight to live and it will be readily available to edit once your'e done
It’s all personal preference, I tried Ableton and it just wasn’t for me. I’ve also tried logic and I just feel like I’m moving too slow. So FL gang all day.🔥
Switched from Fruity Loops to Ableton. But still using FL Studio to create loops.
If you immediately know the candlelight is fire then the meal was cooked a long time ago
by rewiring fl into ableton wouldnt you get almost every pro of those software toghether, working on samples with fl but rendering with ableton, for example?
give me FL anytime am alright because i know my way around it very well. Ableton is ok but it has a very Ugly GUI.
Yes.ugly
Frrr it's just uglyy
I think fl studio is a better deal with the cheaper price and like the others say there is way more tutorials about fl so its easier to learn more things about the software to get the most out of it and also visually fl is very appealing and runs smoothly
I'm confortable with FL Studio, but I star producing with Ableton and is quite different but stil good
Stèf Han is it better?
Spot on comparison, as someone who easily loses focus I need everything to be on the same page which is why I love Ableton, the live session window though doesn't really get much use for much of my stuff and would be happier if I could get a proper mix window much of like what FL has. I find the plugins on the bottom of the screen get way to crowded and it's really hard on the eyes at times.
You dont see people running their entire live shows w FL (i.e. bassnectar who produces AND performs his shows in ableton)
Ableton is much more accommodating for midi and launchpad use and live performance. But in terms of purely making music fl is better
Great comparison vdo.. this s wat i exactly wanted to know.. thanks man..
King Commit fl's stock plugins are far more sophisticated than anything ableton offers
King Commit I wouldn't be able to mess with ableton. It seems too simple for me. Plus, I'm a visual person, and Ableton looks like something from Windows 95.
first time watching you...will watch you again and this video for reference. Nice job very professional quick and informative....Awesome...Thank You
Got over a decade on Ableton, I call it the Lambo of DAW's b/c if you know what you're doing you can work twice as fast in it than any other DAW. #Facts
exactly the same for FL'
Woah that's amazing
Bruh stfu
I've never thought about it this way, thank you.
I use FL but would like to switch to Ableton. It's quite difficult ...
That's the thing, Ableton is easier than you think.
Start in session mode, then get to arrangement mode asap.
Ableton has the warp option for editing witch is great, fl has now 2020
#ABLETONCULT I love Ableton with all my heart and soul but The drums in Fl studio just hit harder.
Breezy I'll try that out and let you know the results
be careful of your auto warp settings, or the fact the sampler / simpler has a -12 DB set.
i have to check this...
Hail Fl Studio!
for the newbie,
here some tips for you.
find the video of daw that you want to buy
learn by video
try some trial
if you enjoy that, just buy.
dont spend your money to much for daw
you need to buy some plugin
and then you will need some gear
1. midi controller
* headphone
and you will need to buy some interface
2. interface
and you will thinking that you need to produce some vocal
3. microphone
4. cable
and you will thinking about some speaker monitor
5. speaker monitor
6. cable
and you may think that you need a singnal procesor for a deepest and chrispynes
7. preamp
8. compressor
and you will think that you need some tube processor or etc
wow. dont waste your time to find the best daw dude
Bitwig Studio all day.....I haven't found anything I cannot do with it....EASILY.
True this. wonder what he thinks about Bitwig.
In fl if you render a loop, and send it back in you have to chop it at the very beginning because it usually has a tiny delay unlike albeton its completely accurate if you export a loop and bring it back in
For trap, fl studio for sure no question, for dubstep and that techno shit prolly ableton
-CLUTCH
I have yet to see a great production video with ableton. There is a lot of videos but most of the tracks are so so
seri does a great job
Cult Snarez flava d is dope and there's deadmau5 but if you're not into edm there's London on the track.
Cult Snarez London On Da Track didn't show much but Sneakin is a great beat made in Ableton. Hopefully DJ Dahi shows something someday, he also uses Ableton.
Alex Cruz I don't believe people can't show much because with program because it's a pain in the ass to create a decent track.
I didn't understand what you said man.
If you're an ableton player and are curious about FL Studio, consider using FL studio as an instrument (VST) ( when DAWs become VSTs you get the best of both worlds) then form an opinion. FL studio is really versatile
ableton live more straightforward? NOT BY A LoooooNG SHOT.
You must be special then. There's literally beginner tutorials on Ableton Lives RUclips channel. It gets easier with the Push.
Dude? youre an idiot. so much for a new subscriber.
Mater buss:
In FLstudio you have to structure your project accordingly if you want to split your tracks.
MP3 and mono:
What is mp3 and mono?
Y'all only don't use ableton cause it don't have gross beat ... once y'all get over that and open y'all mind to production you will realize Albeton is fl studio on crack everything just aligns perfect not to mention the loops and samples come easy and perfect in almost the first try
you can use gross beat in ableton
I'm learning FL12. I play METAL guitar. I've been working on playing it through the DAW and I've been trying to get it working like it should for 3 weeks. Today I found out there's a new driver for my interface, and FL still wont work right. Lag static, breaking. That's the guitar. I've also been trying beats and mixing cool bass and dance beats. That's not so bad, but gosh, you can spend 3 hours just trying to lay down a decent drum track. That's why I searched for this video. I think I want to try something that's not so labor intensive. FL studio wears me out my friend.
real producers use fl 11
ttd max
I use fl 20
if fl studio doesn't support any external instruments like midi keyboard or launchpad that's not good. but I guess fl has ggreat souds.
Logic Pro X
@Ave Mcree: About the automation: it comes on top of audio/midi, as well, in FL studio.
It used to come on top for years now. Bro, what kind of videos are you putting together?
In my opinion Logic Pro X is better then both of them
i've heard from people that the quality in ableton is much better than fl studio but i don't think its really true, i tried to make an exact beat to check it out but idk it was kinda the same
Rebirth, Reason.... Then FL since 2001. Love it.
I use fl for main production but I use ableton for recording vocals
I used FL Studio before. But I find it so complicated to use. So I tried switching to LMMS, which is a bit simpler than FL Studio. It's so simple in fact, that it paved my way into using Ableton Live which is way more simple than FL and LMMS combined.
Ableton wins in simplicity of usage.
