One advantage of time shaper over gross beat is the fact that you have the option to apply the effect for 2, 4, or 8 bars gross beat is only 2 so you have to use automation.
please note that the version of Time Shaper in this video was old... The updated version 1.01 has a new feature called smooth mode that will get rid of that "popping... Thanks Cable Guys for the support! which do you think is better? btw I have a full tutorial on Gross Beat here ruclips.net/video/K3l-J4p5q10/видео.htmlTime Shaper Tutorial coming soon
Ave Mcree great video thank you, I have both of these but timeshaper give to much pops, hopefully cableguys can fix this in a future update. I already contact them , they are aware of this. For now I would stick with grossbeat.
Actually, we already updated TimeShaper back in February with an anti-click Smooth Step Mode! This video is made using an old version of TimeShaper, which does not have the anti-click option.
Shaperbox is pretty much grossbeats on steroids. but it might just be a user preference. sort like gym memberships they all have the similar machinery. some just have more perks than some.

I bought the product very recently, I have this "smooth" option, but it clicks anyways... I really wanted to use it, but I can't because of that. If I use any of the "stutter" presets, this is just not nice... When I hear what grossbeat does, I am jealous :)
If you have the left most point in the 0 position and the right most point on the -2 on the grid (make sure your x axis position is lined up evenly at .50) and it should work as smoothly as gross beat. just make the halftime on timeshaper look just like the preset on gross beat haha.
I'll have to study what you say... I purchased Shaperbox and I am quite disappointed by the Timeshaper module that generates clicks and pops everywhere.... as you can hear in this video. In the "stutter" preset, same thing, GrossBeat sound is smooth while Timeshaper is really clicky, which I cannot stand.
Cedric Simon I get mix results from time shaper. Sometimes it pops. other times, it doesn't. There were quite a few things that I didn't cover from time shaper like the other features it can play just the partials.
Yo Ave, you're "timing" (get it?) on this video couldn't have been more perfect for me. I'm in the process of switching my workflow up to doing all of my audio in Studio One and I was looking for something similar to gross beat to use in Studio One. I know I can use gross beat in Studio One, and I can manually make gross beat fx just manipulating the audio with S1, but I really wanted something different with possibly some extra features. What's your opinion on looperator? So far, I think it's my favorite.
Like everyone else is saying, the popping and clicking is a no no for me with time shaper. This has been the main problem with these types of plugins that I've been running into. Looperator is smooth. Probably will end up sticking with that.
Hey Ave Mcree, nice vid on the Cable Guys and FL plugins. Have you used Sugar Bytes Effectrix and Looperator? and if you have, how do you think they stack up against these two?
Mrhythmizer destroys any other timing effect plugin out there. Can do everything Gross Beat & Timeshaper can do & way more. Also works on PC & Mac. Yet even the full on, multiband version, is only about half the price of Image Line's overpriced Gross Beat plugin. Idk how they think they can charge $100 for a plugin that can't even compete with something that's half the price.
If you want to fix click, start and end points should have same value and tangent. Or use RX7 declicker (but it's not ideal for realtime, because it adds lot of lag and cpu use)
each vst has their own purpose and if you want to keep it simple mix wise, just know when one is needed over wanted. great video btw. p.s. if i can get a how to crossfading video for fl studio will be the problem solver for those using custom presets in gross beat and shaper box.i got some presets that give a certain feeling but it comes at a cost with these plugins.
when it comes to half timing with gross beat , it slows but pitches down too much and resets the notes (at about 2 bars) and its so annoying , it doesnt sound what it has to sound my friend told me to play with the tempo but it just got worst anybody knows how can i get a clean halfspeed ?? like that tm88 , metro and ... !
amir mofidi in the top right hand corner of gross beat.... there's two arrows... click the one on the right 3 times and then u should see the option on gross beat that said 1/2 speed........ and click that and that's it
you mean 2 times ? on the momentary part right? but it just pitches down and half times the first 2 beats of each bar ! (i think so) . but thanks for ur help bro
If you dont know how to stop the clicking on GB, you haven't been using FL that long smh the reason why it's in most trap beats tho is because to remove the clicking, it may weaken the initial sound(s) with gross beat applied to it, so they keep it.
See the price thing doesn't matter at all. There's something called Edison, and just record the sound and delete it afterwards. Lol hope FL Studio doesn't see this. Lmao 😂
5 years later still a banger of a video

there's one by melda as well. half time is identical to gross beat - www.meldaproduction.com/MRhythmizerMB
Mircea Nicolae I was gonna say that as well...

Cableguys I noticed that in Ableton Live, there's no issues at all. The cpu usage is non- existent as well. Either way, I like shaper box better.
Shaperbox is pretty much grossbeats on steroids. but it might just be a user preference. sort like gym memberships

nice drums you were mssing with there
Time shaper seems to give you a lot more control overall
I hate that popping sound in the effect from time shaper

I agree, there the popping is still there
Cableguys I bought ShaperBox this year and time shaper still pops
@@Cableguys same here, it pops even in "smooth" mode
HalfSpeed sounds like when you turn the DJFXLooper all the way down on an old Roland SP555
Thank you for this review - $30 vs $70 makes it an easy decision for me
I needed this vid DJ Ave McCree! I own Timeshaper and hardly know how to use it besides 1/2 speed. Can you do a full tutorial? Hip- Hop/ Trap babes?
U stupid...
There definitely is a way to make sure there's no clicking on the half time in time shaper and make sure it starts on the first downbeat.
If you have the left most point in the 0 position and the right most point on the -2 on the grid (make sure your x axis position is lined up evenly at .50) and it should work as smoothly as gross beat. just make the halftime on timeshaper look just like the preset on gross beat haha.
i meant time should b lined up at .50 my b

just explore it. there is also a smooth or immediate step mode, make sure its in smooth.

shaper bow is a good alternative of gross beat, especially if like me you on mac and also working on ableton live but shout out to gross beat tho!!!
you should do one on halftime vs grossbeat thank you

Can this be achieved by adding a tempo track?
you should a review on the moevement plugin
did that almost 2 years ago
Oh I hadn't noticed its a real dope plugin tho
I have it awhile now
each vst has their own purpose and if you want to keep it simple mix wise, just know when one is needed over wanted.

Hey Ave which one would u pick between the two. I was looking at getting cable guys but I don't buy it if that click is still there thanks.
Cable Guys updated it. The "popping" doesn't exist anymore. ruclips.net/video/t5S9BRCsIJw/видео.html
