Than you so much. Yes, I miss my 747-400s.. The takeoff from Tokyo Haneda was really nice. Yes those Rolls Royce engines are what I remember when flying for United Airlines. For me sitting at Door 1 backwards in the jump seat was always nice. I loved looking at the wings during takeoff and taking the weight on the aircraft.

Great shot of the Star wars 789 ANA( which I have travelled on many times )with boarding all star wars music and toys. A flight attendant sked me did I like the toy and replied it was silly. At least she laughed

You'll have to share your secret on how you get all the women to flock around you. Lovely cabin with very wide seats. You looked very comfortable with all your pillows enjoying that fabulous looking drink. Also, the food looked memorable. Thanks Sam for yet another fantastic video!
Maybe if you would need another 747 experience, you should fly Lufthansa, because the have numerous 747-8I aircraft within their fleet. After-all, they were responsible for some of the recommendations for new design features on the 747-8I; wherefore, they have yet to receive all they have ordered.
The 747 is being phased out in favor of the more fuel efficient 787 Dreamliner family of aircraft. The 777 family to some extent as well, but the 787 is by far the more fuel efficient of the two and will likely be used more than the larger 777 even if airlines have to offer more flights to accommodate more passengers. The cost per seat on the 787 would warrant it. Also there has been some talk about building the 747-8f in a passenger version,with its more fuel efficient Pratt and Whitney engines, in order to maintain competition with Air Bus and the A380.
Also I have heard that the 777 may becoming to the end of it's production because the 787 Dreamliner is so much more cost effective and is selling better than the 777,

CX was a great airline but now not the same management...staff and pilots always complaining about many issues --is there to see on staff morale and their faces . I wish Sam could be a little more honest like Paul strip reports or maybe they may not upgrade him

How the hell do you know it was without their approval? I've seen him plenty of times record how he gets into the plane and talking to crew cam in hand, also the camera has to be pretty obvious. Also, he is recording in a public space. Maybe you're the one who needs to learn a bit of education.
I was working many years for a big airline. All this business class jerks were filming me and my colleagues without even asking. They have the mentality: i pay so i do what i want. And you don't have the rights to protect your self from them!!! Thats how i know. You don't have any idea. Thats obvious.

Lufthansa has several 747-8i's that are passenger
Cathay Pacific is retiring all of their passenger 747s by October 1st. They still have the 7478F for their freight service.

I think that was Japan airlines
They still have 3 in service and they are looking to retire them at the end of this year, between October - December.
The last flight of CX B747 is this September on HKG-HND-HKG!
