Hi Alf, yes it’s a great place, we live here and love it. Olhao doesn’t have a beach but it has three stunning islands close by, the prices of the ferry boats are very reasonably priced and it’s only a short trip away. The town has a great vibe and has fantastic restaurants and bars, also it has great transport links to visit other areas, if you don’t have a car. Hope this is helpful.
