    That interior came up a treat! Love the fab work on the radio panel. The steering wheel goes so well with the theme of the interior!
    I'm a 70s car guy, so I'll never say no to more Celica episodes.

      Thanks Bermil - have had to order a boss kit for it so it's back on the shelf for a few weeks but hopefully on the road with it soon!

    Another cracking episode Cam, loved the idea of the stereo support bracket. Interior came up very nice. I actually did the led bulbs in mine nearly 8 years ago now, I put them everywhere haha. The one in the dome light lights up whole interior at night

      Lol yeah I sometimes forget that "back in the day" for me was a good 25 years ago when high output LED globes and other such future wonders were not even a glimpse on the horizon 🤣

      Lol, think I'm going to disappoint you on that one, it's getting a weber, but not a downdraft. The good news is I'm shopping for a 45 DCOE and cams at the moment, already have extractors and intake manifold. ;)

    Well done Cam! That radio looks factory, I love it. The next ep can go either way, I'll watch. You just need to calibrate your eyechrometer Cam. Heard that on Inheritance Machining's channel, love it. Keep going Cam, the first 5K is the hardest. Best wishes.

    That interior is looking fresh and the steering wheel is the icing on the cake!
    I have seen some videos on dying automotive interior bits and with carpets/higher pile fabrics, using a medium stiffness brush to work the paint/dye in and doing 2-3 coats seems to be the key to uniform color. Not sure how well that would work on the suede/alcantara type fabric of the seats but might be worth a test spot?

    • @TheBuildRoom
      @TheBuildRoom  Год назад

      Yeah I picked the spray cans as I figured that would be the best way to avoid blotches etc. I think the dash went well but I burnt two bits with the heat gun and it's hard to dye over an uneven colour and hide it 100% anyway. Next ep will be dialling it in based one everyone's feedback on R34 vs RA28 so we'll see!

    I've got an RA60, I deep cleaned the carpet and dyed it black but it still has that musty character about it. Maybe once I fix the rust in the windscreen channel I will just do what I should have done and get a Knox carpet

    • @TheBuildRoom
      @TheBuildRoom  11 месяцев назад

    Great video! I need to catch up on all your celica vids but am really digging the detail you go into. Where did you get the new carpet from?

    • @TheBuildRoom
      @TheBuildRoom  Год назад

      Carpet was from a company called Knox Auto Carpets - i wasn't too enthused on the thickness and fit, but it looks OK now that its in.
