I had no idea Jock Itch and Ringworm were the same thing!
Ringworm is typically caused by Microsporum canis, jock itch is more often a Tricophyton species, so while both are fungal, the species are different - at least when I was doing mycology

I’ve had a fungal infection on my feet for over a year now. I’ve been prescribed antifungals and steroids but it won’t go away. I started using a hypochlorous acid spray about a week ago and it’s already looking better than after months of antifungals creams.
Also, using Amlactin cream and putting zinc pyrithione shampoo on my feet a few minutes before I get in the shower seem to be helping as well.
I will try terbinafine as I’m not exactly sure what anti fungal I was using when this all started.

Idk if Hibiclens is okay for ringworm, but WOW it works like a miracle for underarms!! I got the pink kind and a foaming dispenser and it’s so amazing! My 40s self was struggling with underarms staying sweet esp working out. And that took me back to my 20s level of shower effects lasting lol without having to bump up to more powerful deodorant which I really didn’t want to do.
I've noticed that drinking plenty of water with electrolytes vs regular tap water for two to three days greatly improves the condition as well.

I was misdiagnosed with tinea cruris for around 1 year before finally seeing a dermatologist who told me it was lichen simplex chronicus/neurodermatitis. Unfortunately at that point I had already trialed topical anti-fungals and oral terbinafine. Now I use high dose topical steroids for the odd flare up and it works very well. Skin conditions can be so tricky :,))
What do you recommend? are creams better than sprays?

I'm battling this for almost two years, I have tried many product. I also keeping it dry to slow its progress of spreading by using a blower and it's not enough to improve my condition. Recently a friend of mine suggested a product named (Katialis oinment) it's a product here in Philippines, in two days It has significantly improved my condition the itch, redness has significantly reduced. take that this ointment will dry to peel the infected part. I hope you can find a product like this it's helps me so much and take away my suffering.😊
Some of the comments for the Terbinafine cream is that it’s for feet only. Is that true? If this spreads all over the body, Im assuming you can use it for other parts of the body? How about along the hairline/scalp?

What is candida intertrigo and what are the symptoms
I've been on Terbanafine aka Lamisil oral form for 6 week. As well as hydrozol cream (clotrimazole and hydrocortisone) blend. So far okay.
I've used Lotrimin Ultra Extra Strength Jock Itch Treatment Cream for a month and hasn't fixed my jock itch. I'll try the cream you mentioned and hopefully that'll cure it.
- Use natural coconut oil on the affected area before bed and after showers/baths
- Have hot baths/showers (baths are better)
- Decrease your processed sugar intake (not fruit)
- Temporarily abstain from foods with yeast
- Drink more water 2/3L daily
Guarantee this will help as it helped me. I dont believe in all the fake creams and treatments. Coconut oil is the best.
Nope- nothing otc worked for me except tea tree oil, a natural anti fungal
Doctor can I use an antibacterial soap?

What’s the difference between sprays and creams?
All good advice. I did something else but it's risky.
Been to multiple doctors. But the only thing that works for me for resistant fungus is heat. On the area. Two weeks. Couple of minutes every day. As hot as I can stand. But hold up. If you burn yourself, that's your problem. And it will make it worse. I said for me, not for you. So don't try this at home.
Will diflucan help with Candida intertrigo

i had athletes foot infection. probably from the hotel in Istanbul in their swimming pool i got it. multiple times had that rash in between my toes with watery substance coming out. healed it quickly once i came back home with urea cream
I didnt realize i had jock itch until i watched one of Dr Dray's videos a while back where she mentioned it, and finally got it treated. I had been suffering with it for YEARS and people always told me It was a weight thing and that if i lost weight it'd go away...
It was absolutely miserable.

Hi Dr. Dray 😊 You mentioned using salicylic body wash. Any particular brand or percentage to look for?
Differin has a 2% SA body wash that she and other derms have mentioned.
Had a quarter size area on top of one foot, store stuff didnt seem to work. Took over a year for it to away after i started to scrub it hard with a vinegar soaked rag followed up by an alcohol soaked rag. Later got it on my other foot, and lower leg, again lots of scrubbing with a kitchen pad for scrubbing pans, vinegar and then alcohol for a couple years, lots of bleeding and burning. Have not had it come back for about 7 years now
Wow! I've read that scratching at it or scrubbing can irritate it further. But I'm glad that solution worked for you. I wonder if it would work for other areas, too.
My husband has this and his doctor said he needs the active ingredient Clotrimazole. Would that be okay to?
I dont know if this is what helped me in this case but i did the bleach bath out of frustration. I noticed improvement. I continued doing it and now i managed to get rid of it completely. Give it a try.
Now im left with the ugly hyperpigmentation marks tho :(

I’d had it for years- tried Everything otc, couldn’t afford the very expensive cream doc prescribed- y’all, tea tree oil. It’s a natural anti fungal, o bought a bottle last week at the store, 3.99… mine is clearing up well!

Use a hair dryer to dry your body. Gets you drier than a towel and you don't have to wash it.
What about ketoconazole shampoo as body wash in those areas?
I had a fungus under my breasts. Doctor suggested washing with a dandruff shampoo. I use that and make sure my skin stays dry. When very bad I’ve used Nystatin cream.
So far a wash in listerine blue twice a day seems to be improving. Gives me a good burn, so it's doing something.

I stopped taking medication previously cause it was getting better but don't do that lol
Try "Champoo" bud. Clears it up. I tried all the doctors lotions and potions. Steroid creams, anti fungal ointments for months.

Does anyone know of an antifungal powder WITHOUT corn starch? Corn starch feeds the fungus. I use pure arrowroot powder when I feel the need for a body powder. It's not medicinal, but it doesn't feed the fugus amungus either! 😂
