7900xtx is a great bang for your buck. Even though I own a 4090 I highly respect what amd could do for half the price. I wish everyone fun with their hardware #stop the gpu wars
I respect it as well but would never buy a Radeon. They need to be competitive with Nvidia again so prices can go back to normal for graphics cards.
@cemsengul16 they won't I own a xtx amd says that they don't compete with the high end cards anymore and will only do low and mid cards so we can definitely see the next nvidia cards to be more expensive
@@fabianhwnd6265 That really sucks. AMD is enabling Nvidia's insane pricing. Every company wishes they could do what Nvidia is doing right now and you can't blame them. They make a great product without competition.
I thought the game ran a bit poorly on my 7900XTX but I didn't realize it's also that heavy on the 4090. 7900XTX is doing very well here in that case, the frametime graphs are really smooth for the AMD cards in both this video and your last Tsushima video too. About halfway through playing this game I started using an FSR3 frame gen mod and together with FSR quality it's usually over 100 FPS so with these graphics I think that is a great result.
I heard the FSR FG mod works well. For me a locked 60 here is pretty solid.
Don't dream too much. A cheap RTX 4080 performs the same as expensive RX7900XTX in this title.
@@Sam-cq9bj 4080 is cheap ? Even the sapphire nitro+ 7900 xtx was low as 900usd. Ok 4080 super is 200 less than 4080 MSRP still 7900 XTX is now much cheaper than ever.
7900xtx vs 4080 super
no point the 4080 S is slower
@@UKKNGaming Still better at ray tracing
@@UKKNGaming slower? Where? In t@rd games like cod or games of 4 years ago? See what happened in new games
@@OmnianMIU it's still slow lmfao
@@TheAtomoh in 10 games oh wow so amazing get Jensen sack out your mouth theirs less than 70 RT games and you talking about the 10 that shit is ahead in lmfao. It's slower in Raster that's all that matters. Play your 10 RT games 🤣
Great video. I hope that AMD can make an alternative to the 5090 next gen.
It's very interesting to see how the cards match up in ray tracing performance when the engine is using Lumen vs the NVidia sponsored rtx games.
Your 7900xtx pulls over 100w more than mine with similar clocks. Not sure what’s going on.
I've overclocked both cards.
he doesnt UV while OC lol
@@UKKNGamingbot overclocked. Repeat with me: radeon gpus are trash in power consumption and are slow. don't be an AMDesperation fanboy
@@OmnianMIU lmfao you don't know wtf you're talking about 😂 where's your 4080 S?
Running this well on my 7950X3D and 7900 XTX at native 4k maxed out...on an OLED with Atmos headphones :D Game is Stunnning in this configuration!@! Actually, all UE5 games have/do run extremely well on RDNA 3 and obviously the 7900 XTX in particular. That bodes well for the fine wine future we're all used to
It is very smooth yea.
Why people compare the 7900XTX to the 4090 when the competition should be the 4080 or 4080super?
To show, if there is a meaningful difference between them. And, considering the real world price, there are things to think about, tbh.
They are both flagship gpus and they have a near double price difference. Sure, considering dlss and rt 4090 destroys 7900xtx and I doubt a 1000$ gpu would only be used for raster but whatever.
@@Efsaaneh wrong question here, the good one is can I play 4K/60fps with the XTX ? the answer is yes and I saved 1000bucks
i have the amd setup, i want to let you know that if you OVERclock the GPU to a higher freq than preffered then the MEM clock will drop. please check your video at the begining and see what im talking about.
my recommendation would be to not exceed 3000mhz on gpu.
What would you say to someone who has, for all intent and purposes, proof that thier 7900xtx is running close to 20% faster than your 4090 numbers in this video. something has to be up right? I've seen some pretty piss poor 4090 performance videos in this game, so maybe a game issue.
I’m getting 84 fps on my 7900xtx at 4K max settings
4080 Super is the same price as a 7900XTX and while I don't own a 4080 Super I've seen a few passes in this game, with one and it pretty much runs it the same as my 7900XTX (Pulse edition) so right now anyone looking at these cards to game can ask themselves do they want to double their cost for either sides next down alternative.
7900XTX has an 8GB VRam advantage, 4080 Super has RT advantage. Next step up is 25% more performance and 100% more money.
7900xtx should age better long term bec of the vram
@@chadwolf3840 I've only ever spilled over the 24GB VRam buffer once and I was running Avatar in an 8K unobtanium torture test. I was getting around 5fps but it suggested that if games can use a 24GB VRam buffer the card will collapse under it. The 4080, 4090, 7900XTX and even the 7900XT could last someone 6 to 8 years if they lower resolution to 1440 in the future but that will eliminate the 24GB advantage. I doubt even think in 6 years a 1440 res game will exceed 16GB.
Having a 24GB 7900XTX in 4 years might make for better resale over a 16GB 4080 super and that will be an optic grace but optics matter.
@@chadwolf3840 16 Gb of VRAM is more than enough for the next 4 to 5 years at least
7800x3d vs 7950x3d must be a big difference. I posted a video today with fsr enabled with no overclocks or anything and get a bit more frames. Mine isn't this scene though. It's the beach where the other guy made his video.
I looked at Bang4BuckPC Gamer's numbers too which is someone I consider to be very knowledgeable and fair and mine match with his. He tested the same area coincidentally and was getting simlar FPS on his Nitro+, a bit less because he was using FSR Native AA vs TSR 100% res scale.
@TerraWare I've also went to the exact same areas as in his side by side video and ran exact same settings with them shown and got higher fps than both cards.
@TerraWare And my video is absolutely no different than his. Show my settings and metrics in the same areas the same as he did. And driver based fmf (which is the only thing that could give me more fps) isn't usable in this game for the gamepass version as adrenalin doesn't recognize the game. I literally have ALL driver based options turned off. As I said before, I wouldn't mind sending you guys a discord invite to share screen and show all settings you could want to see. Maybe then the excuses and accusations of lying and shadiness would stop and you'd start asking the real questions, like why does mine get so much more. And what's different to make it possible. Im not trying to be an internet show off, I legitimately think you guys have something different somewhere causing loss of performance 🤷♂️ that's all I'm getting at.
@TerraWare And I consider myself to be very knowledgeable as well considering I've built/repaired pcs since the mid 90s. But I STILL learn new things all the time.
@TerraWare Amother reason I believe you guys may have something off somewhere os because I'm in discord with a friend who has the red devil xtx and his frames are super close to mine and even more in some areas. With identical settings. Amd another friend who has the msi gaming trio 4090 beats both of our frames in most areas (granted he is OCd and refuses to take it off🤦♂️). So I don't think it's just my card. Cause the people in my discord are right around the same as me. I even see others on tiktok/yt with similar frames. Some more, some less. So I'm not trying to be an ass, brother. Just really feel like something is up. If not with your pc/settings, then something with the games optimization or something. Are you using ddu in safe mode at least twice between card swaps? Just curious.
rtx 4090 costa 1000 de lei iar 7900xtx costa 6000 lei
The 4090 is both faster and significantly more power efficient.
Yeah and twice as much lol
Yea no shot it’s better
@@TerraWare and 4090 is 5 times faster than 7900XTX in path tracing at 4K and more power efficient better cooling i also have the same 7900XTX vapor-x nitro+ like you and my friend Bang4buck check 2:55 i saw a black flashing artifact on the left screen on your 7900XTX have you stability tested your OC's terra ? i'm testing my 4090 overclock right now with Furmark 2
Yeah, no shit Sherlock. It's also 2 times more expensive.
@@nimaarg3066 2times more expensive 30% faster in rasterisation 5 times fasater in path tracing less heat less wattage its good to see the 7900XTX holding its own but there's no competition for the 4090
7900xtx (2800mhz) vs 4090 (2980mhz) seriously?
the author conduct the test under equal conditions.
7900xtx fsrQ = 4090 native
Its just u want to enable FsrQ at 4k or not
Just get 4080super to get best of both side its that easy
no its not the 4080 S is slower than the 7900XTX 90 percent of the time.
