RUclips Premium is by far one of the more practical subscription models, and Thats coming from me thats a linux and youtube revanced user. Its tiresome to be in a constant battle of dealing with Adblock services to fight RUclips, only to realize the one adblock thats 100% effective is their premium subscription. Its weird how people take pride in using Adblock, but it creates a self-defeating cycle. Here’s the thought process: RUclips wants revenue, but doesn’t want to rely on Advertisers for money, so they instead introduce a premium service which skips the middleman Ad companies, and the money goes directly to them instead. When people start blocking Ads, RUclips needs a way to compensate revenue lost and begins ramping up Ads to compensate the difference. Had there been more premium users, RUclips would rely less on Ads since more money is coming from the subscribers, and since the subscription blocks Ads, RUclips relies less on Ad companies for revenue. Fighting youtube with too much Ads just forces them to put on more Ads.
@@DaveWake Premium is best chosen when you go for a distributed format. I’m specifically referring to the family plan. In face value the family plan is up to 6 accounts, and in total the subscription is $24/month. Divide that by 6 people and thats $8.00/month. What makes the family plan special is that the accounts added to the family have zero restrictions, meaning you can literally add anyone to the family plan. Unlike Spotify, you do not need to share the same home address. My setup has been like that among my college friends for 10 years now, and we live in different parts of the country.
My electric tea kettle has been used several times daily since 1991 and is still working beautifully. adding an air purifier to my Christmas list.... such a great list! I also agree with the idea of keeping a music subscription as a worth it purchase because of the sheer accessibility. i used to pride myself on having a big CD collection, but now i look at it as clutter because i only really rotate around 6 CDs because they're either special to me or not even accessible on music streaming platforms. Love your channel! keep going, mane!
If you use your credit card and pay it off in full every month, you’ll get points you can spend for free travel/etc. if you’re gonna spend anyway might as well get as much as you can out of it.
My best friend and I love our electric kettles and use them several times a day. I have extremely limited counter space. My electric kettle and microwave (only place I could put it) are the only devices on the countertop. I would add for kitchen items worth investing in are a slow cooker, a rice cooker, and a magnetic knife rack.
Totally agree with electrical kettle (2 decades in using traditional one) and YT premium, but for drying rack, I personally think it depends, we tried both dryer and rack, when there is more then 4 ppl in a family, rack just do not work for us 😂
Not going to lie, I clicked on this video a bit skeptical, thinking it would promote mindless consumerism in the pursuit of aesthetics over practicality, but some of these items are a bit unexpected and pretty decent. Thanks

I finally have Spotify premium and it’s changed a lot in my life since now I can always listen to music which I really enjoy doing. I spend less time aimlessly on RUclips or doing other things because I can get all the music I want whenever I want. Still not sure if I should also get RUclips Premium since there’s a lot of music here that I do like and I love not having ads here, but I’ll figure that out in the future. Also for those on the fence, the $14 electric kettle I got from target has been a game changer for a few years. I cook a lot more at home because a lot of those meals and drinks that needed hot water this kettle expedites the time. I find myself making more breakfast and tea since it’s fast and easy to use. Definitely invest in one, doesn’t need to be expensive either.
I agree RUclips Premium is worth it. I’d rather lose all my subscriptions than lose access to RUclips Premium. I hadn’t considered RUclips music replacing Spotify either, but it’s an interesting idea.

I make it my intention to get things or experiences I'm passionate about, healthy for me, or genuinely need. My hiking gear, bike, Espresso (from scratch) machine, a quality mattress, iPhone, Apple Music (I couldn't stand Spotify; too busy hyperactive), and, as other Aussies have said, a kettle clothes dryer are normal! I have allergies, so you have got me wondering about an air purifier for my room at night, but would it work much with the window wide open.

RUclips premium is the best thing I payed for this year, it is my main form of content consumption so having no ads is perfect.
Exactly!
Premium is great. If you don’t have an addiction to it.
I disagree. FireFox + uBlock Origin + SponsorBlock = RUclips Premium without paying.
