I wonder if these people realized they were listening to a legend because that's what he will be. I just discovered him 20 minutes ago and he is my new favorite modern artist.
Some things never change.Jimi was the absolute best we ever had.Nothing can ever compare to him.Things he did, sounds on the guitar, so understated and divine.Got to love the man and his music forever.
@@atlanticmermaid2739 Modern rock is a vast desert of hot garbage with oases being few and far between. You may disagree (because this is a subjective topic of discussion) but the vast majority don't. That's why the charts are topped by generally non-rock music.
IDK. I just found out about him too. But the thing that's really got me is the fvkking song he's covering. The dude who wrote that tune should be famous. Seriously man, he could seriously quit his day job and go pro.
I've played this song w a million different blues players in my town on drums over the years at bars ...I've heard a million players play voodoo child This is the real deal.
I was watching Jimi and suddenly, you popped into my mind... and here I am. Just knew you did this and killed it. You are something special Ayron, 💜 Loud Love brother
When talented musicians play this Hendrix tune, it is just a joy. I love hearing the bass up in the mix with that thrashing guitar. Just right for my ear.
So effortless, I liked him the first time I heard him on a local radio station and hope listeners keep wanting him to play. He has a gift and it would be great to hear it for a long time to come.
I think we have a second-generation Jimi Hendrix in Ayron Jones and of course, Stevie Ray Vaughn did a killer performance on Voodoo Child too. Ayron is amazing!!
somebody slap me. SLAP ME for not knowing about this person before this moment!!!!! I mean, is this for real, am I dreaming....oh oh someone still rocks in this world!
They are both great. A couple decades ago, I was deep into SRV. It had been awhile since I'd sat down and listened to Jimi. Then I listened to Jimi and SVR, back to back, and I have to say, as great as Stevie was (a true virtuoso), he was not Jimi Hendrix. The same is true of AJ. I can't even articulate it beyond that. AJ captures the quartertones, space between the notes at times, dynamics. He really brings something. But Hendrix touches the guitar in a way that is deeply moving. He was otherworldly. I often think about two things: how I wouldn't want to live in a world devoid of the Beatles catalogue; and, what would the world be like if Hendrix were still alive and making music?
It would work a bit better with more amplification and strat power. Ascending riffs give me chills up my spine.I am going from memory here but sweet Jimi used to build it up so sensually like his guitar was a woman.Your performance is stellar and I say it all in love brother cause I really loved the man!Looking forward to seeing you play live.♡♡♡♡♡♡♡ Foxy Lady
Let's not push it Athena :) That incarnate already came in the form of Randy Hansen, if you don't know him, check him out. Although I do love this young soul jammin out! Maybe he'll bring this kind of music back to the forefront. Plus, something about his tone, reminds me more of SRV then Jimi. Related, but still different in soundddddddddddd....
You might want to check out Ayron’s good friend and fellow Seattle based guitarist Jimmy James, he also channels Hendrix and plays with the jazz chart leaders Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio and his band The True Loves both are good friends who visited me in the hospital after I lost my vocal cords to cancer. Truly good humans.
Ayron Jones is incredible, but he's no Jimi Hendrix, at least not yet, neither was SRV. SRV was true virtuoso. In fact, he was more virtuosic than Jimi. But Jimi was a far greater musician than STV or Ayron Jones. I understand the enthusiasm. I feel it too. But listen to this version and then immediately listen to Hendrix. The difference is stark when you hear them back to back. It will make you appreciate Hendrix that much more.
Not a fair comparison at all. First, Hendrix wrote and played like none other. Second, this young man needs to have time to not only develop his own individual style, but make a record, and produce himself. It’s a difficult business at best, so let’s support him in the coming months and praise his talent, but don’t put that massive burden of being better than Hendrix on him at this point. If you want to see the man MOST like Hendrix since the 70’s, check out Randy Hansen’s live versions of Jimi’s music. Perfect!!!
I wonder if these people realized they were listening to a legend because that's what he will be. I just discovered him 20 minutes ago and he is my new favorite modern artist.
Absolutely!
Some things never change.Jimi was the absolute best we ever had.Nothing can ever compare to him.Things he did, sounds on the guitar, so understated and divine.Got to love the man and his music forever.

I just discovered him yesterday!! I heard "Supercharged" on the radio and I was like WHO IS THAT and Shazammed him immediately. He's great! 😍
I saw that last nite Live ! Absolutely Awesome and Loved it
Not a surprise he plays this flawlessly Jimmy's soul found it's way into him.. Ayron saving Rock one day at a time!!!!!
What is this "saving rock" s***? I see this stupid statement everywhere. There have never been gaps in rock n roll. Evidently you must not listen

Why am I just now hearing about this guy? Totally Awesome!!!!
I found this dude like 10 years ago and forgot his name! Now I’m back and won’t forget!!!!

IDK. I just found out about him too. But the thing that's really got me is the fvkking song he's covering. The dude who wrote that tune should be famous. Seriously man, he could seriously quit his day job and go pro.
Been listening to AJ for less than 24 hours and it's been chills the entire time. Can't wait to hear more from this artist!
The current musical King in town. All his music and songs are just...can’t even find the word...POWERFUL
He brought back that 70's rock feeling in his music. Crazy powerful an tons of soul. Definitely one of my favorite artists right now 🤘😎
So many made shade on Stevie for stealing. There will only be one Jimi, Stevie brought this back. Ayron brought this to the 21st century...
Man Oh man. haven't heard a remake of that, this good "EVER" till now.

well done. my favorite cover is SRV version..but this is not far behind.
I think his licks are more SRV than Jimi.

He can play Jimi better than Jimi!? Wow
Not hardly..Hendrix created it, therefore all who follow can only emulate him..
Good beyond a doubt but I still think Jimi and SRV did it better.
