JoeZack is right that the difference was between the 0.1 second on the rollerblading event and the tie on the baseball event. But a win is a win, good drafting by Jake on this round.

In the equivalent 2-1-0 point format:
JoeZack: 8 points
Jimmy: 7 points
Jake: 6 points.
they need a side bet round where they each put in 50 pts of their season score total and bet on the finishing order of that round with the winner getting the pot. If they did this each game, the scores would be out of the 2-1-0 format.
@@johnnydropkicks looking at in the 2-1-0 context, it's absolutely crazy how Jimmy is talking like JoeZack has it completely in the bag.

The rollerblade times were off. Go back at 8:52 (and 10:08) and change the playback speed to 0.25. Both blue and purple first touched the finish line at 17.4 seconds. Should have been a tie. Blue got screwed (though you can make the argument that blue got away with his rollerblade touching Out of Bounds at 8:38 without a penalty).
I love Jimmy's dad energy when cheering for Heidi in the baseball game. The results though...

If you guys ever revise the rules again have you ever thought of having a trade capital?
Maybe each person gets a bank of 200 points they can use to trade for contestants during the competition season. 25 point minimum offers and increments. You guys can hold onto those points as well for the end of the season. But nothing more can go into that bank except other acquired traded points. This leaves a potential of 600 extra points on the table for everyone and gives others a chance to take a risk to get a contestant they want.
This could eliminate the need for trading picks all together. And it might make the scores a little closer.
Either way I enjoy the show and I like how it’s always evolving.
Yeah, that sounds cool. Another idea I've thought about would be to auction contestants, i.e. each bidder has so many points at the start of the season, and they can use them to bid on contestants at each event. So they could decide whether they REALLY wanted a certain contestant and bid more, and have less points to bid with later.
I’m gonna be so sad when they run out of episodes. But until then, 😃
They should do legend of the hidden temple next!

next season you guys should give yourself points based on how many points your player got in the episode. that makes having a dominant first pick matter more and having a last pick is potentially catastrophic. could open up a lot more interesting trades out of desperation

I like this idea
There are a couple of reasons not to do this:
- It would frankly be a lot less entertaining because no individual episode would have a singularly conclusive meaning
- No other sport does this. The winner of a season is never determined by runs, points, goals, it is always by the number of games (episodes) won.
To that point, it is definitely interesting to track and @kevintelephone is doing god's work. But just like in baseball with all the sabermetric stats, overall points through a season is best left as another fun metric for those that want to dive a bit deeper rather than determining the overall winner of the season

The spill your guts segments have really been brutal latelely. That one girl a few episodes was a roller blade expert and then immediately got torched in the roller blad event. Poor Heidi "hammers softballs" and then proceeds to get destroyed in the baseball event.

You guys need to stop letting Jimmy do the scoring, it's clearly to complicated for him. He gave Jake an extra 25 points in this one. You can't have a difference in points that isn't divisible by 175(175/350/525/700) and somehow you have a difference of 200 and 125.
So Jimmy's gonna discount this season since there was no elastic jungle or pool events in the last 3 episodes right?
