Hey mate, I think you might have saved me here. Just to be sure, you say the code P1167 is dual purpose. What is the 'other' purpose this code could mean? Our car (2005 Peugeot 307) will lock in Park and refuse to go into Drive if started and then left idling for 30sec or more. Its throwing P1167 code, and threw a stop warning when driving once but my daughter stopped and restarted the car and it went back to normal driving.

Thank you, good video. I believe however you don't have to empty all the oil like you do. I just took out the 1 litre that came out through the first plug. That's enough that you can safely open the cover for the hydraulic block.
I have also al4 gearbox. its stuck in 3rd gear limo mode. I have fault code engine torgue no signal. I clear it but fault comes back straight away. Any ideas??

I get a message "Gearbox faulty" When i move the gear lever, nothing happened, it does not go to "'D" , it stays on "N" and sometimes the car does not start, and other times it starts. The OBD II says "Manufacturer Controlled Transmission. Code P 1834" what do you think the problem is?
@@eneacafa392 Yes, I removed all electric connectors around the gearbox and computer, and cleaned them with an electric spray cleaner, even though they all looked clean. When I plugged them back, I kept plugging and unplugging like 5 times. This really fixed the problem. You have to remove few of the intake hoses from the top in order to reach all pluggs from the top and you have to remove the bottom cover to reach the bottom pluggs. I also changed the gearbox oil, since I was able to reach the drain plug from the top. The oil had nothing to do with the problem, but i did it because the car had 140,000 km. I'm glade i did because the oil was black and had some visible metal shavings in the oil and on the plug's magnet and the magnet may have lost its magnetic affect. I pored 2 L of Liqui Moly 75W-80. Good luck to you🤞

Hello! Peugeot 4007 2.2 HDI. The engine shows the error after starting and does not change gears. Transmission service reqruied. I start it several times and the error message disappears and then it runs without error. It changes the speed up and down nicely, I drive the car without any problems. In Peugeot Service, it brought the following as temporary errors: P0704 Clutch switch input circuit failure and P0702 Gear control system electrical error. They said they don't repair it, they only replace the complete gearbox. Can someone help with this? Thank you for your help!

Abdelrahman Abdelkader If the solenoids are good then you don’t have to change them just clean and fit them back. Make sure you test them properly to be 100% working otherwise the rest of the work will be useless. I wouldn’t risk it. The solenoids are not expensive so you better get a new set in.

Matheos Georgatzis solenoids goes bad because of oil contamination.
The dirt and debris from gearbox oil gets into the solenoids and seize them up.
Can you clean them and put them again or they must be replaced ? thanks for your answer !!
