I am a fifth generation Aboriginal survivor of the most horrific kind of trauma… in my community we learned to turn the anger and pain towards each other- called “lateral violence”. I wish people in my country could understand this as well as you do.

That’s precisely what Black a lot of Americans (those whose ancestors were stolen from Africa and enslaved) do, some people call it “Black-on-Black crime”. It’s heartbreaking to hear/see/know. 💔

Excellent analysis for seriies and your observations! Thank you! Simple followup question, which may be showing my lack of understanding:, why does Africa seem to have so much violent unrest? Initial Hypothesis fed to us is Colonialism? Media images? There are of course many other quesrions for followup.
. At least this series deals with the healing process, too. Looking forward to consuming entire series so i can understand what needs to be done.
Every group seems to have a form of Complex Trauma tp deal with. Let's fix it 😊
My hypothesis is the political division we see is related to more and less trauma camps..
Much love to all, especially those who suffer from the behavior of those who had bad ideas. ❤
We ALL see thru very dark glass, some more clearly than others, including me.

@@lemostjoyousrenegade I'm an American too, Caucasian I guess you could say. I didn't know that at all but it makes sense. I have heard for years that there's a lot of black on black crime, but I didn't know why... So it's likely redirected anger from CPTSD... 😢.

However, we also need to take stock of who we are as well, because don't we all want our own way? Don't we also act like the holiest person, righteous, even if it's only that we are good? Don't we each allow ourselves "benefits" over others because right now, we deserve it? Seriously, I have been through alot of trauma, but as one country of my ancestry says: There's nothing so bad that it couldn't be worse... we each can only fix ourselves. Fix yourself.

THE MOST IMPORTANT LESSON OF THE SERIE.
You are talking of Narcissists and their victims. You are right on the fact that even the victims can end there if not aware, but that is indeed cause both come from the same ground.. Even the Narcissist have been abused indeed.. Abuse is repetitive inside that generation, and than they bring it outside that world from work to all hyerachic systems, and all the situations you said..and we have now indeed a totally sick narcissistic society, all over the world, every country affected.

My guy and I left the religion a year and a half ago. I was in it for 28 years. Been presenting a lot of symptoms to do with complex trauma since and recently found Tims channel. What’s funny is I was listening to this and sent it to my guy saying “honey! Listen to this!” lol
The elders are currently going after his 80 year old parents because his dad is an elder and we do business on their 9 acre property. To be clear, we are not in business *with* his dad, they just let us process firewood out there to sell. We find out yesterday that my brother in law who is also an elder is taking pictures of my almost 80 mother in law because was driving down the driveway and rolled down her window to say hi. Neither of us are disfellowshipped, so saying hi is allowed.

My father was brutal. I have trouble with the commandment... Honor your father and mother....
How do you honor someone that you never felt safe around?
I'm 68 and still working past stuff..... Discovered recently that my inability to organize clutter stems from the brutality. I was never sure whether a decision I made caused the beatings.
Every bin of my stuff contains the emotional impact... As if I was a kid again...
At least now I have the awareness of how useless that impression is at this point in my life.... Even writing this makes me feel like throwing up....
Thank you for sharing your wisdom....
    All the best.....

I’m so sorry, that sounds awful. 🥲
It’s must be so enlightening to discover the source of the issue.
Personally I believe that commandment is meant to encourage general care of one’s family and relationships.
I doubt very much it was ever meant to encourage anyone to submit to abuse.

    • @annastone5624
      @annastone5624 9 месяцев назад +6

If you feel like throwing up.. I had that feeling a lot. I believe it’s because none of it belongs to the true you - not the abuse & not the symptoms it caused you to suffer. Do you just want to vomit and expel the whole thing out if you.
It’s excruciatingly painful to have these realisations - I hope you can be kind to yourself, curl up with something soft, but yourself your favourite food or cake 💖

    • @KatWoodland
      @KatWoodland 8 месяцев назад +4

@hdmccluskey I, too, have clutter issues that have manifested in the wake of surviving a childhood of narcissistic abuse followed by THREE monogamous relationships (two husbands + one decade long disaster) to pathological narcissists. No surprise there! It took me to age of 59 to actually SEE it was my mother who was the original mind effer. YES! Children of severely critical parents, in my case my rage-aholic mother, have a brain wired to prevent getting yelled at. We are wired to scan the airwaves to be sure our decision is defendable or something. We grew up justifying our very existence. We were made to feel ashamed for having needs, like using electricity and warm water.
Be as kind to yourself as possible. What I do is focus on one thing in the room that is beautiful. Then it’s easier to tidy. Also creating order. So I got myself some cute baskets.
Best wishes to you! Rewire your brain, and accept it takes the rest of your life to UNDO the major fuckery that was done to our programming.

    Good leadership
    Have mission (the what)
    Have vision (the why)
Everyone is subordinate to these characteristics.
Go to your employees and ask:
“What can we do to make your job easier?”
“What do you need to be more efficient and effective?
How are other departments impacting you? What can they do to make your job more efficient?”
Who are the people who need to have the most power?
In retail - the person who loads the car and next the cashiers. Why? They are the last people that the customers have influence them.
In the 90’s corporate Container Store there were only two reserved parking spaces.
If you guessed it you’d probably be wrong.
It was for people applying for jobs.
    No rule book
Just “Do the right thing.” (and everybody knows what that is.)

Maybe alot of social workers are victims themselves and maybe that's why some of them abuse others they're empowered over.

@@WhistleblowingGoodWitchyes. They've already stolen their souls by wounding them deeply. Kids lose their motivation, confidence, spontaneity, creativity, etc.
My ex wife has been a k-12 teacher in California for 27 years. She has borderline personality disorder and is a covert narcissist.
She uses everyone in her circle.
33 kids pass thru her class every year and she uses most every one of them to advance her agenda.
      She has no accountability.
      No moral compass.
She sees herself in a superior and romanticized way that is scary.
She's completely delusional and in denial of her manipulation of others.
To me it seems as if many of her peers, coworkers and administrators are exactly the same as her. They use shame and intimidation to motivate kids.
We are in serious trouble if we can't get a grip on this and fast.

That is actually untrue, there are bodies of unmarked graves which were left unmarked or had their markers destroyed in the residential school cemeteries, which was done in the pursiut of destroying indigenous culture. While the reports of mass graves of undocumented indigenous children is likely exaggeration and was mostly claimed by foreign news agents. I do think it is important to discount untrue statements like the mass grave things you shouldn't discount the actual truth that there was abuse of power going on.

His plan was to fulfill all the feasts that proclaimed he was coming. He would die as the Passover lamb and save us all from the death from sin. Satan’s plan to have him killed backfired. God knew satan would have it carried out lock step, and it fulfilled the Passover!
