That’s so weird. It’s almost as though the authorities who were instated to protect us from horrible parents abused their power and allowed our parents to abuse their power and our bosses to abuse their power so now we’re being coached not to abuse ours when actually no one else is going to stop abusing theirs.
You're being dishonest with yourself. You know that most people don't abuse their power, and those that do are going through their own trauma. You're trying to gaslight yourself so you have an excuse as to why everything is going wrong.
@AncientIntegrations, it's a valid point you make. But may I point out your use of "we're being coached." Society is one generation away from a total makeover based on what one generation believes to be true. It's possible our generation will be the cycle breakers, especially if it's widespread enough to use words like "we" instead of "I'm." On the flip side, if you're convinced that it's impossible to break the cycle in yourself because of what everyone else is doing, all personal agency within you will die and be replaced by blame shifting and bitterness.
Now I understand why I have had such a problem with authority figures, especially when they meted out unjust criticism or discipline. May the Lord bless you abundantly, Tim Fletcher, for generously sharing your gifts and skills for the betterment of your damaged, hurting brothers and sisters.

Ahhh, but you see, once they decide it’s a *disorder* they can now demonise the individual, force them into taking ‘prescriptions’ to enforce certain behaviour ‘modifications’ and abusive, controlling parents can also do a lot more to their offspring because they have the *sanctions* of a ‘professional’ diagnosis. Read into the history of ‘psychiatry’ and research how many bogus ‘diagnoses’ the industry has spawned in the past- they even created a diagnosis for slaves that *wanted their freedom*…. Wonderful tool for societal control.

Its just a symptom
Oppositional defiance disorder.
Complete BS.
I’m anti authority
huh... Antifa and anarchist falls into these catagory
ODD is fake

You have no idea how much I wish I saw your viseo earlier in my life. Maybe I wouldn't hate myself so much now. 🥲
