My kids seem to run for 45+ minutes at full use. They are fairly new. I have made sure they kniw to full drain and FULLY CHARGE them. I was just wondering if thats the trick or the life will still drop off in time.
Interesting. I imagine terrain and rider weight have a lot to do with it. Ours is ridden off-road with some hills. Or maybe our batteries were no good from the start.
@@jamesjacoby my kids are 8 and 9. 55 lbs and about 70lbs. We only ride on dirt and the trails out back. Thanks for the video! I would love a lithium upgrade to charge faster and have a longer run time.

Thank you for clean video - Question, I have extra Ebike battery 48V 10 AH sitting at home - Can that be connected to this 24 V 350W motor and using the same controller Hub ?
Just search 24v lipo4. Take a tape measure, measure the space you have, and find a 24v lipo4 that will fit. Same thing on any ebike/scooter/4 wheeler. Make sure you get as many AH as you can afford/fit.😊😊😊
I have one of these and I’m looking to replace my battery with a 24v 15ah and I’m curious why do I need to upgrade the controller and throttle if it’s the same voltage?
I upgraded my kids MX350s with 2 12v 10ah batteries from lifeP04. I also upgraded the control box and throttle with what you show. Now the bikes are shutting down and smell like something is burning. Do you know what could be wrong?
Hey, I just bought a razor MX 350 off of Facebook marketplace and it seems to be that when I lift the back end up the tire spins fine and the throttle works.except there is some little noise, I think it's from the chain but other than that it's fine but whenever I go to Drive it/ sit on it, it doesn't move and I know I'm not over the weight limit because I'm about 110 pounds. Do you have an idea on what it would be?
Speed is a little faster and it maintains speed better than before. Takes about 3 hours to charge from nearly empty to full. About 3 hours run time, which was probably overkill.
@@jamesjacoby That is a lot of runtime. I wonder if you could have found a 12aH that would have fit without modifying the body of the bike. The lithium batteries have much more usable power than SLA. I am wondering if the battery had a BMS built in though?

Not a kit really, just a collection of stuff from eBay. Controller and accessories are from one seller. You could use any battery that’s 24v. I didn’t upgrade the motor, but I’ve seen options for that too.

There are tons of good commercial options that are turn-key, gas or electric. It's more if you WANT a project. Sometimes it ends up costing more to go custom. Depending on how old your son is and if he'd enjoy learning and doing the project with you it can be a fun route.

Thanks, but unfortunately I don't have time and the logistics would be overwhelming. You could tackle a simpler version with a slightly smaller battery without the need to modify the body shell as much and it would be a lot easier.
This is some very clean work. Your nephew is lucky to have such a smart and handy uncle. Also that song that is playing in the middle is awesome.

You don’t have to upgraded it. The upgraded throttle and controller provide variable throttle and a little bit more speed.
I am using the same controller and throttle but using a 36V 12AH Lithium battery. Is it essential to keep the fuse in play?
Yes! Fuse is your friend.

The twist throttle includes a battery charge level indicator that works fairly well.

Not sure. Probably just under, but you risk melting your motor.

I know I reused the Anderson connector that came with it and either added a fuse or kept the inline one - either way you want a fuse 😅
