Great tour around Singapore. I'll be traveling there for the first time and teaching at a one month English camp, in a few weeks. Can't wait to explore the city! Thanks for showing us around 👍
I've been living here since 2010 and stopped working the following year. love everything...besides the entitled and annoying aunties (you know what i mean if you've lived here long enough). while housing, alcohol and cars are expensive, everything else is comparable to the rest of SEA if you find local establishments (wet markets, hawker centers, daiso/japan home center/value dollar). if you don't want to learn a new language, Singapore is paradise
thank you , i am searching for more guitar and pleasant tracks that you tube is ok with , i have three now, i would like a little more variety. my editing app is offering some so i will try some . you tube is strict!
I won't be retiring in Singapore. Instead, I found a great place in the Philippines. I want to thank you for your inspirational videos. I have subscribed to your channel. Hope to be watching you for many years to come ...Salamat ! Thank you .
@@RetireandGo I have been retired here in Manila for 2 yrs and love it. Chill vibe, friendly people, low cost of living and absolutely no Karen’s lol. This place has a special retirement visa (expanded courtesy) for retired scientists, physicians, engineers, artists, military folks and others that only requires $800 monthly income and a $1500 deposit in a Philippine bank. English is spoken all over the 7,000 plus islands.
I love Singapore! Is Sunday still "Maid Day" where the Maids have the day off work. It was so amazing to go to a bar at 2pm on a Sunday and it be packed with maids just partying like crazy!
Hey, I love following you and your adventures! I'm sure I'm speaking on behalf of many like-minded vegetarians when I say that we'd love to see more veggie-friendly options and less meat-based content. Not trying to tell you what to do or what to eat, just a friendly suggestion from one traveller to another!"
I’ll make you a deal. You start a channel with healthy vegetarian dishes you make and eat. Plus other healthy advice, and I will shout it out in a video. Deal? Put the work in. Reap the benefits of creating a plan and goal for yourself , I believe in you :-)
Just go...exactly. I remember back in the days people would actually worry about anything. Going to Africa or South East Asia...do I need to bring stuff like toilet paper etc.- I'm NOT joking! People can learn a lot from your attitude😎
Food and drinks are cheaper (and better) in the hawker centres where a meal would be about S$5-10 and a beer is under S$10. These get expensive in the tourist and/or downtown areas
If you want to retire cheap, this is one of the last country on earth you should visit. Before you knew it, you will realise a substantial chunk of your budget is blown in this country.

Oh very nice !

Us updated
I retired in Singapore and have no regrets. Its small, well controlled the laws enforced. Singapore is just awesome for those who can adopt.
Those are key
The enforcement of laws
The west forgot that
Small is good😊😅...no need to waste time driving to get your groceries, commuting to work, time is precious!😊😁

So nice to see you smiling all the way 😊
I’m so happy to have left the stress and fear , anxiety, of the US behind me
It is hard not to smile
The future ain't cheap
True
But hey, live in KL for under 2000 a month easy then pop over to Singapore when you want for a weekend
Great video ❤❤❤
Thank you so much
Have a great day !
almost everyone in Singapore speaks English. the biggest bonus of living here (me since 2010)
True!
Singapore was explained to me as not gardens and parks placed into a city but a city placed into a garden.
I like this description
Too clean hence no maad dhoggs laying around ready to pounce hehe love your work and yes im tagging along 🙏
True hard to find them mad dawgs!
👍👍👍
Aloha to you :-)
A great place to visit :-)

People can learn a lot from your attitude😎
I agree
We can find stuff as we go
I need to tell myself this
Sometimes I buy too many little items haha
No mad dawgs in Singapore 😅
😂👍🤩
True haha
It was hard to find them !
Thank so much for sharing 👍💪
You are so welcome
Singapore was a nice city to visit
I think I’ll try to get there each year
Even if only for three days
It’s quite expensive
Beautiful & informative, by the way, the price mentioned on USD or Singapore Dollar?
Hmmm, USD
I’m pretty sure
It really was a beautiful place to travel to
Yeah it's good but not as good as KL (it is my personal opinion while I know many will critisizing me for this) @@RetireandGo
The kind of money you spent in three days for Singapore was easily the amount that would stretch for 10 to 15 days in Thailand.
Oh yes
Truth
That’s why Singapore is like a three day vacation
is life expensive over there (hotels, food)?
Hotel was 99 a night , meals were 20
It’s pricey
But I want to try for three days a year here
Hi bro
Nothing under 20 dollars I need to bring with me briefcase full of money.
Have nice day.
Haha pricey yes
I found low cost leaks at 7-11 then ate out once a day
Retired life
Somebody’s got to say it … 0utrageou$! ! More than double US prices. How did that happen?? Boy … hard pass for me.
I understand, it’s pricey. I think a three day trip each year will be my goal. Remember nearby Kuala Lumpur has low cost living and food
Food and drinks are cheaper (and better) in the hawker centres where a meal would be about S$5-10 and a beer is under S$10. These get expensive in the tourist and/or downtown areas
Maybe you can find a job here or work as a contractor?
True
Lots of IT work !
I really dislike seeing the locals wear masks as they serve you. It's not good. But you sir are living the life of Riley.
I understand, don’t stress though
I think that’s all soon to be behind us :-)
Why is it “not good” that they wear masks?
I was just thinking how nice that the guy had a mask .. so hygienic.
Thanks for the video. Don't like Singapore. Have a nice travel.
Have a good week :-)
If you want to retire cheap, this is one of the last country on earth you should visit. Before you knew it, you will realise a substantial chunk of your budget is blown in this country.
Haha it’s very expensive
It’s a three day vacation for me at best
Singapore is not for backpackers 😂
Haha it’s pricey but beautiful
I will try for three days a year going forward
Obviously the cost in Singapore is a lot higher than in Thailand and Malaysia.
Oh my yes
I have Singapore videos coming soon from this year as well
