the thing i appreciate the most about the bl-22 is the fact that the trigger is included with the loop so when you cock it you don't get your finger pinched at all like can happen sometimes on some other standard lever action rifles
It's a controlled feed action. Soon as the empty gets ejected, the next one pops into the bolt and moves straight forward into the chamber. Pretty cool stuff.
I just bought one in January. Second only to the late great marlin 39s. Just a touch lite for accurate off hand shots . More than usable for hunting and steel.
Hey Lynx, Got mine threaded, so, it's possible. 2 things about the BL 22 grade 2: They don't always come with a great quality of wood (mine is really disapointing) and taking those down is not great... The Winchester 94-22 is better for taking down and the action is smoother yet longer. Thank's for the video!
Wanting a high quality lever 22 with a legacy and then wishing it had a threaded barrel is like choosing a girl for moral and family values and then wishing she liked to hit the bars on the weekends. What???
From my knowledge the grade 2 has checkering on the forend and stock as well as engravings on the receiver and a gold trigger, so the differences are cosmetic. I have a grade 1 and I love it but those grade 2s are really beautiful, although quite pricey.
@@maziamini9604 ya no problem, the grade 1 and 2 have a 20 inch barrel, there's also what's called the "micro midas" which is essentially exactly a grade one yet it has a 16 inch barrel and is a slightly cheaper option than just a regular grade 1. So all in all there's essentially three different bl-22s the grade 1, grade 2, and micro midas.
Black anodized aluminum. The barrel band finish doesn't hold up well, the rest of the gun might be in great shape but the bands might have a spot or two of the black missing. They are easy enough and inexpensive enough to replace though. I replaced the front band with a new one on my 1990 BL-22 a few years ago. The first had been on there 30 years.
I bought one about 10 years ago. It's beautiful and great decorative piece for maybe above the fireplace or above a door of a cabin but not for shooting anything. 2 inch group at 50 yards is all Browning expects and is all I can get. I am so disappointed in that POS I would gladly sell it if I could get what I paid for it. I called Browning and told them they should hire the people who built marlins to show them how to make an accurate 22lr. My marlin 39 makes my Browning BLR look sick
I just got one with the maple stock on her and I have put about 45 rounds through her and the first time i tried to load it she didn't feed but it feed afterwards so I don't know if i didn't work the lever fast enough for it.
Get a clue? oh....So you're one of those guys. Old mate here is talking personal preference. On the topic of getting a clue it's a BL22 the BLR is the centrefire version, ya smart-arse!
Who would ever have a threaded barrel on a nice gun like that. Nice property-range. Tip...get rid of horrible music, don't understand why videos have to have it.
The review was okay, reasonably instructive. However, why do video producers feel the need to subject watchers to long introductions with annoying music instead of just getting to matter at hand? This one is particularly irritating with a minute and 15 seconds of useless sound and video. This is not an MGM or Disney movie, it's a product review. Why not just get to the point?
Actually, I agree completely. I think part of it had to do with longer videos doing better in the YT search results. Not it's the opposite. In all our recent videos we have cut that nonsense out.
"Gunpocalypse"? Did you, an adult, seriously just use that phrase ... suitable only for a 10-year-old? PLEASE grow up and act like an adult. Enough of such immature, kiddy-talk.
Really? A threaded muzzle brake on a .22 LR? Oh, that's right, so you can put a suppressor on it and look cool. What foolishness! You should have shot a few bullseye targets from a rest, as an indicator of the rifle's accuracy. Shooting pan-sized steel targets at short range doesn't give a proper indication of the rifle's potential accuracy. When testing a .22 rimfire rifle, you should try it against bullseye targets, from a rest, at 50 yards with a variety of ammunition. You'll notice a significant difference in the size of groups when you do this. The same should be done with pistols, but at 25 yards for target pistols and 10 yards for carry pistols. Any repeating rifle -- especially semi-autos -- are particular about feeding and ejecting, lever actions included. The goal is to find a brand and type of .22 LR that reliably feeds and is accurate.
You wish it had a treaded muzzle break ???? Wtf, dude... why would you put a muzzle break on a lever action, and most of all.... why on a 22 ??? 22 recoil is too much for ya ? wtf, you smoking ? i want some
Welcome, welcome. Thanks for the engagement. This has been covered plenty before but I realize there’s various levels of intelligence surfing the web. A threaded muzzle has nothing to do with a break or muzzle device to reduce recoil but rather for a suppressor.
the thing i appreciate the most about the bl-22 is the fact that the trigger is included with the loop so when you cock it you don't get your finger pinched at all like can happen sometimes on some other standard lever action rifles
Why the hell do you think a threaded barrel would be an improvement?
Just inherited this from my father. Love the engravings and gold trigger
Just found one of these tucked in the corner of my lgs for $360 after tax, can’t wait to pick it up in about 48 hours 😂
So jealous! That’s an amazing price
You stole that one - Congratulations!

Don't know what everybody is talking about. I enjoyed the video and i love that kind of musik. The rifle is just beautiful.
Greetings from germany 👍
Thanks for the comment!
Very Nice Rifle! That range is looking awesome, Carry On
Nice piece of property. Great range👍
why a suppressor on a 22 cal
Why not is the more appropriate question
Im buying one of those someday
Just got this exact gun today hehe beautiful piece. can't wait to shoot it later it's raining out right now here

You win the comment section with that analogy. I can't even be mad 😆
trigger pull was just very heavy on these, I never had enough time to find a way to lighten it
I own one and I have lightened the trigger
Was it difficult?
@@Lynxdefense I had the work done by a gunsmith in my area ...
Why a muzzle brake?
I am a big fan of browning guns, do you know the difference between grades one and two ?

Are the barrel bands plastic or metal on this version?

I don't think they make these anymore.. if not henry should make a short throw like this one has
The BL-22 was introduced in 1969 ( 29 years before Henry existed) and is still in production today.

Muzzle brake on a 22lr? I think RUclips has kind of lost it.
Who said anything about a muzzle brake?? 😂
Looking to buy one of these in Australia but they’re 1100 USD here 😂
What bag is that?
36” rifle case - lynxdefense.com/shop/rifle-bags/36in-tactical-rifle-case/

Winchester 9422, Marlin 39A, Browning BL-22..........and then the rest way down.
Amen brother.
You can’t thread I’d because any muzzle device will block you from opening the tube magazine.
Very true
Video starts at 1:17
Roughly 1/4 of this video is HIGHLY cliché intro (the kids call that cringe)
Mine was really gritty. Bought it brand new and traded it for a used Winchester 9422. Never looked back. Not a fan of the music.
Better that a Henry
Oh it doesn't have a threaded muzzle brake!😅😅
Absolutely no threaded barrel
Threaded muzzle on a blr22? Get a clue….

Not that a response is required I just feel the need to point out your profile, as an adult, is a cartoon character.
But why getted threaded that’s a slap in the face for you trying to wrong a classic gun
The "music" is annoying if not outright awful. Thumbs down, gone.
Thanks for taking the time to give free engagement! 😂
