We own two of these rifles, both have cheap scopes mounted (senior eyes appreciate seeing what we shooting at)...the rifles are our primary plinking rifles, used with the cheapest bulk ammo we can find...with the cheap ammo we shoot out to a hundred yards, with enough accuracy to keep us entertained...with 'better' ammo we can shoot under an inch at 25 yards, which would do fine for small game...the guns are reliable, easily maintained...the kids enjoy the rifle range, too, a big happy minute for us...gotta recommend a .22 platform (rifle, handgun, it doesn't matter) for those times ammo is rare or very high priced, because trigger time IS trigger time, and that includes .22 (the guns can run shorts and longs, also, just for variety/availability)...good video...!
Love this little rifle… Swapped magazine follower for a brass one, put the large loop lever on for my hands with gloves and added the saddle ring receiver cover just because it looks cool…
I bought a new H001 a few weeks ago but haven't performed the mandatory cleaning Henry's preservative off of it yet however the fore grip was sliding back and forth just a smidgeon in which I tightened the barrel band screw and remedied that problem. I plan on installing the leather sling and swivel kit on it that i got from Henry Outfitters and the corresponding picitinny rail and a scope on it and their hammer extension for scope shooting. It would be nice if a metal front sight is available for it. One thing I've thought about doing is using Flitz metal polish on the brass magazine tube. It works very well on firearm parts and on guitar frets.
Actually, if you have proper licensing, anyone can own/possess a fully automatic weapon but I don’t recall discussing them in this video. Could you help me out with a time stamp to the reference and I can clarify or correct what I said? Thanks

fwiw, mine was new in 2022, cycles everything I've put thru it from cheep bulk to CCI and Norma match to colebri shorts/caps..
Henry says to run the action fast however on some early models I've read that people had problems with it like you described
I have a Henry H001 and it is not a good gun at all. Its is the worst gun I own !
