Years ago an older lifter told me in the gym: 'if you want to get big eat a lot of cake and biscuits...' Frankly I couldn't do it (I value my teeth) so it had to be a fair bit of liquidised food, which isn't pleasant going down, but it's easier. It's not something I could sustain for more than 3 weeks. also I'm of an age where it might not be very good for my digestive system.

I think the gym is the priority it is the stiumulus to the food. When I got up to 355 I didn't have to resort to eating pizza and candy in fact I ate healthy drink lots of milk. If you focus on the training the food intake is easy you don't have to force feed yourself just eat when your hungry and do hard training long workouts don't worry how long you are at the gym because it is stimulating appetite especially when squating 3-4 days a week.
