There’s a big rumor which apparently they’re making a sequel and also a prequel of the Mummy series of Brandan Fraser. We’ll see if it happens but honestly it’d be no surprise judging by a success of the rerelease of The Mummy. A fun historical fiction with action-adventure, comedy, horror, and romance.
It is strange that those particular bugs were supposed to be eating someone very slowly and yet a later scene they seem to quickly eat and kill a man in seconds.
They eat slowly when they're in places they couldn't get out like tombs to conserve, but when they are in open places they can eat as fast as they want to
That's becoz the director of the movie was in hurry , he needed to finish things off real quick , so those ugly insects did understand the pain of the director & ate those corpse quickly so he can leave early for his wife's expensive bday party.
I remember watching the scene with The Warden (Omid Djalili) having the scarab crawling inside his skin as a kid, but I couldn’t remember what the film was. I was convinced it was from ‘Pitch Black’. But I later learned it was from ‘The Mummy’.
I specifically remember this movie gave me a nightmare as a kid where I was hiding in a vent while watching these little nightmare bugs eat everyone. These things were nightmare fuel
What about the scarabs on Imhotep’s face when he takes off his mask after being introduced to the first guy he gets his eyes and tongue from and before he sucks the rest of his flesh from him?
there might be something I missed, but cursing Imhotep with a curse so powerful that it would turn him into an deadly creature if he were awakened doesn't seem like the smartest thing to do.
Warden running into the wall, the beetle must've destroyed his vision and blinded him. Either way, that must've felt horrifying as the bug was eating his brains out.
Realistically, it should have been quickly fatal for the warden with the damage the scarab was doing to his brain. There is no way he should have been running around helplessly like that.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned from those mummy movies, it’s best not to open a door filled with gods, monsters, and those dastardly scarabs.

How funny would it be if they were to make a 4th Mummy movie and Beni's character was brought back as a mummy 😅
Benis Revenge ☠️

Man, the CGI for the scarabs was surprisenly amazing for an end of 90s movie.
It's sad to see beni die after trying to find his way out and with O'Connell
I’m not sad. As a certain character said to Beni earlier in the movie: “You know, nasty little fellows such as yourself always get their comeuppance.”

Beni made his choice and he’ll have to live (or die) with it.
