I still remember when me and the wife seen "Mummy 2". She could hardly wait for her next pay day, to go shopping on line for at least ONE pair of those sweet knee length boots, just like Evie's! To say the least, ONE pair wasn't gonna "cut it", so to speak...and, the collection was ON!!! She was a "Boot Girl" when I first met her, and still is after our 29-years together. They seem to give her that "alter ego", that still turns ME on to her, to this day......☺

I luv Evelyn! In fact I worship her! She is so badass. But I couldn't help but notice you missed my favourite moment of this movie! The part where Evy is running through the Scorpion King's tomb/entrance to the Underworld thingy to save Rick. I actually felt bad for Imhotep in that scene because he had spent his entire life and after life trying to resurrect Anucksunamun only to find out she had never truly loved in the first place as he had her. All she wanted was power and all he wanted was her. Just had to mention that. No idea why. It's a good summary of all of her scenes without adding a lot of extra clutter like some people tend to do and then getting carried away. It's really cool, and a testament to your video editing skills! Wow. That was lame. Sorry, usually I can up with much better things to say but sheesh! this film was my childhood! I knew every line, 3rd 1 was horrible ,terrible casting & everything, Brendan & Rachel had great chemistry maria just didn't make the cut,the director ruined the franchise&why did they do a remake starring tom cruise? leave the classics where they belong✌
Just fyi, this series was a remake too. The original "The Mummy" with Imhotep was made in the 1920s. But you're right, they should've left well enough alone.
I'd like to think that Nefertiri enjoys her life so much and her people that she reincarnated into a historian that could make her kingdom/empire become known to the world and be learned throughout history and time. Also maybe Akhenatan became reincarnated into a medjay to protect his reincarnated love. So it's like their love transcends time while Imphotep's and Anuk Su Namun stayed in the same time and ended tragically. I mean it's just a head cannon from me. Also maybe when Nefertiti's reincarnation stumbled upon Imhotep triggered her memories of past life and somehow intervene with her reincarnated life, like Evie hunting more of ancient egyptian grounds, also it awoken her combat skills.
I like to think that her memories from her past life weren't triggered when she saw her revived mummified corpse in the first movie. Well because she was a corpse. No flesh. Therefore no clear picture of what she used to look like. In this one. They were triggered the moment she saw the reincarnated Anack-su-namun. With flesh and all. Finally.. she sees what she looked like. Since there was Egyptian magic at play. To bring back Imhotep. It probably also brought back memories.. if that makes sense.. like she could have seen reincarnated Anack-su-namun walking down the street and instead could have just said "you look so familiar" but wouldn't know why she looked familiar. Like I said thanks to Egyptian magic.. she knows why she knows who she was (is). Am I making sense? 😅

Evie rules, and Anck-su-namun drools! ^_^ I like to write short stories if I get ideas. I created a superheroine, and one of her enemies is a cursed ancient Egyptian, loosely inspired by Anck-su-namun. Just felt like sharing that. LOL
Evie feels so completely different in this film. They spent so much time in this movie trying to rewrite Evie’s character into a reincarnated queen and warrior that they completely lost the aspects of her character in the previous film that made her great in the first place. She seems to have completely lost all of her enthusiasm for history and learning and the quirky bits of her personality. Now she’s just uncharacteristically badass and spends most of the film seeing visions and flashbacks and fighting Anck su Namun. They could have made her a better fighter while still keeping that enthusiasm and giddiness for history and artifacts.
You forgot the best moment what Evie did for Rick. When she went to go save him from those human creature things while large rocks were falling from the ceiling

Recasting Evie was such a huge mistake. It wasn't the only issue with Mummy 3, but Rachel Weisz was never going to be successfully replaced as Evie.

Rachel weiz was the real star from the Mummy Franchise, she outperforms, outacts everybody carrying the entire 2 films. I would be fine if they made prequel movie with just Evie character
