Thank you for well information. I live in city but have a dbl lot. My other lot has a well. All the parts and pieces are in my basement. Cold well water is awesome. Finally found the faucet it comes out of. Getting it tested. But I wouldn't have realized it was there if not for your channel. So Thank you. God bless you 🙏
Yes post that early footage if you find it. Been watching your channel since Chad and Grandpa told me to watch your very first video. Love ❤️ you guys. 😎
Check out whether you can get anchor straps for the awning that anchor to the ground and anti flap straps or bars we have a Fiamma brand one and they have them for it check out your awnings 1spare parts and accessories. That way your awning might fair better if there’s strong wind that comes when your not expecting it, plus if you angle it slightly the rain runs off and the wind might not get under it as much good luck fixing it. You’ll get there it’s a learning experience and your both slowly getting things done which is awesome 😃
Kyle and Shannon, you kids are doing great getting your farm started. Yes it is hard work, but so worth it. My grandmother always told us that the best things in our life are the things we worked for. God Bless you both.
Perhaps you can use driveway markers to mark your property lines. Here in Ohio we use them during the winter--they are bright orange and are 4 ft or 5 ft heights fiberglass.
Happy to hear your water is good....another great score. Another step closer. Glad you were able to cut at least those two vines. Also happy the surveyor has complete his job and soon you will have a map. Things a progressing. Have a Blessed day.
I’m so glad you guys finally got your survey. How exciting for you both!! Life always is a roller coaster ride…That is what keeps it interesting. It doesn’t matter whether you live on a farm or whether you are building a house or fighting a disease every day is a challenge and the next day is a reprieve( hopefully), and if you have the attitude of I’m gonna roll with whatever comes my way and keep smiling and I can persevere through it, like you guys have been doing, you’ll get through whatever happens. My advice is don’t make a list or at least if you do keep it short so that you don’t feel disappointed or discouraged that you’re not getting things done like you wanted. When I was younger I always made a list and they were long and then I would take that list and mark off what I got done and I would carry everything forward and add to it …Consequently I was beating myself up trying to be superwoman
I have watched since you began sweetie! Chad told me you were starting a channel and so did your dad. Like I wouldn’t want to watch you all when your dad say’s watch? Nope gonna watch! It has been fun!
So exciting!!! You all have so much exploring to do. Beautiful back here ... I watch the Walkers and love following them! Glad you have more subscribers. You have learned so much Kyle and you make it easy to understand. Yep, poison ivy, the old saying is ... three leaves, let it be ... cut the vine at the base of the tree and it will die, don't touch it. no, never burn it. I'd love to see the first trip! All the best, so excited and happy for you all. Love your new puppy also. wipe in the grass and sanitize at the camper. That is evil stuff! Wow, so sorry for the damage. That is good news, as long as you are careful the rash can be avoided.
So happy your water is useable we have the same size blue tank and it's great, glad you're progressing slowly but surely and I know what you got , when you're ready to fence step in at least one foot so you can walk around your property without stepping on your neighbors property we did 2 feet for safety,
Some folks don't need thanks and fusses made. ☺️ Glad you have stuff to use and try to help you deal with all that stuff growing around you now. I'm surprised it's even at your campground! Take care and don't overheat working too hard! My dad always said, "Don't run faster than you can walk!" 👍🙏😁
You'll get it done soon, I'm sure! I knew you Kevin brother. Saw post when you were helping your Dad. Didn't know you were new to homesteading, until I saw your video about leaving your house, after I saw you at the Walkers to picking your dog! The Walkers are a wonderful family! I will be watching You now. Love watching you from the start of your new homestead adventure!
Yay! On the water pump 🎉! Learning about poison ivy is a good thing 😊. It has to be a relief 😮💨 getting that survey done ✅😄. Looking forward to seeing what kind of fun you both had at the auction 😊. Thank you for sharing, both of you take care, and God Bless🤗💕!
I was like you when I was younger and really bad, riding horses and motorcycles. I haven't had it in 30 yrs. and had on my wrist fishing a creek with my son last month. When it first appeared under my watch, I scrubbed it with Fast Orange hand cleaner to break the oil and some skin then Neosporin after. It very rarely itched even under my watch and Maby four days later it was gone. Good luck and good luck on your dream, it was mine 30 yrs. ago. Just never happened. Take Care.
When you cut the poison ivy vine going up the tree, immediately paint the part of the stem going into the ground with brush killer. If you don’t, it will grow back. If you paint it right when cut, the liquid goes down into the remaining stem. If you wait, it seals itself and will regrow. Good luck.
My dad used to keep a trail cleared along the property line. Even with a fence, the clearing made it easy for us and the neighbors to know where the boundaries were.
Before and after footage is nice! Not just for us to see but helps keep motivation going when you can look back and see what yall have accomplished. Anything you don't know, Google and RUclips are your friends to look up and learn, then you just have to try. I've said that for years now 😃
Thank you for telling us about the poison ivy cream, my sister got into some poison ivy and I told her you said to buy some Zandel, she loved it because it worked ., Thank You
I’m so glad you had the surveyor out on your land ,glad you did not break out from the poison I’ve. It’s getting closer, closer you have a great day 🙏❤️✋🤚
Hi you two! Take my advice and drive a permanent marker beside every little flag. Many years ago, when we first bought our land, some visiting kids said, "Look at all the cute little flags we found in the woods! They had collected them all.
I'm highly allergic to poisonn ivy and my doctor told me to shower with dawn dish soap within 4 to 6 hours after being around it. I have not got it since. been 5 yearss now.
I have shampoo, don't ask don't know the name, that my now deceased daughter bought for me. It seems to help with the THREE poisons too. I imagine that it has similar properties to Dawn. Dawn dish soap has many many uses. Buy the giant economy size!
I swear by Dawn dish soap. I used to do oil paintings (now disabled) and when I had a show one time, I realized that of the two aprons I had, I only had my.... let's say "colourful' (with paint, etc.) apron and my "good/clean" one I'd loaned to a friend. Well, I had nothing to use, and nothing to lose, so I picked off the 'chunks' of dried paint the best I could and then I poured a dab of soap on each spot, gave it a very light scrub with a wet scrubby, let it soak a few hours, I put it in the sink and rinsed it out and if I could tell where any spots were still, I put a bit more soap on them front and back, chucked it in the washing machine, hung it to dry (don't put things in the dryer until you know if it's all out) and it was clean as a whistle. I washed it one more time for good measure, chucked it in the dryer and you'd have had a hard time knowing it was previously such a mess. If dish soap can get rid of old oil paint on a canvas apron, that's good stuff. To this day, my daughter and I use small ponytail elastics to bunch up a bit of the fabric on our clothing where a spot is, such as salad dressing, etc. that is oil based. We've saved so much clothing from otherwise becoming 'painting, cleaning, etc." shirts, haha! I swear I have a bottle of Dawn in my kitchen, laundry room and each bathroom! Get the three pack at Costco, lol! Heather🇨🇦
Unfortunately, that always doesn't work. Box Elder trees when just starting out can be misidentified by those who really don't know their plants as poison ivy. Young Box Elder Maples also may have three leaves with reddish stems. The main difference PI groups of three leaves are placed alternately along the main stalk. The maple's groups of three leaves are placed opposite along the main stem. Obviously if it's on a vine it's not a maple.
@@jimmyandkathyharrell I stated that as well. But sometimes I am astounded that critical thinking skills have almost disappeared. Have you seen the movie, "Idiocracy"? Buy a bar of fels-naptha soap. When you come in from being around poison ivy shower with it. It's a good idea to soap yourself down three times rinsing each time. That will remove the oil from contact with the plant. My son and I are very allergic to poison ivy and that is what the pediatrician told me years ago. The soap is an old-time laundry soap that is strong enough to remove the oil.

Lots of great things happening. Congratulations on the water. Very important stuff. Thank you for the lesson on poison ivy. I had no idea. Places I went camping were campsites. ✌️🌻
what a great family fan who sent the gift pack. glad your tank is holding, what a cool thing, you didn't brush hog your neighbors property. I love all your videos.
I really like your property as it is so beautiful. After I come in from walking in my yard do I ever itch. During the winter time not so much. Will be real nice when you get moved as your dog will be with you. Such a precious one and will have a friend with the new pup a cutie also. Happy for you to be getting a map of your property. You might want to mark the cornors with wooden stakes. Over time the flags don't last. Thanks and Enjoyed.
I would clear the property lines around the property in to property for a 5 foot clear path for easy access for a fence line and matiance. also for security cameras around property.
You will not be free from poison ivy or any of them, it does not stop in the winter! Since your cutting wood to burn, there is still sap in the vine. I know from experience you can even get it from your dog if they run though it. If your down wind from the smoke when your burning it you can catch it from that too. If I touch Christmas tree, I get poison Sumac, scrubs etc. I am 74 years old, I grew up on a farm. This all happened to me. Good Luck!!!
Well… is the dam on your side of the property line??? I kept thinking you all were gonna tell us it was when you excitedly said “great news!” during the video but… 🦗’s. 😉 Nola’s face is so stinking cute looking up at the camera at the end.😍🐶 Great video guys and I’m sure you can mend your awing yourselves just fine. I seen it on another channel and wish I could remember, anyway their goats or sheep just loved poison ivy. They went to town on it like it was candy. Really can’t wait , things are moving into place for you. God bless.
Would love to see your first shot of property interspersed with shots of how it looks now💕. Would be very telling of how much work you have already done.
I really enjoy following your journey. You’re such a fun couple. Your land is gorgeous. I love walking in the woods. My arthritis prevents me from doing that anymore. I felt like I was right there in your forest as you rode back to meet your surveyor. May God continue to bless you in your future endeavors.
It's great that you making all that progress. I'm very glad you didn't get poison ivy. Well you have the excavator you might want to try pulling some of that line down because it can reach up high just saying
there's a RUclips video of where a man cut the bottom of the vine and about 5 inches above which will kill the vine. one caution is that you have to clean what your using because it goes on the item you used
I know what you got, but you brother has it. I won't spill the beans ! Until after it is announced ! I know nothing ! :) keep up the great work you are doing ! So much to do ! You are chipping away at it !
Kyle, my husband Chad used to get POISON IVY so BAD that he would have to get shots at the hospital. Our property has vines running up some of the GIANT OAKS that are as large as my forearm. He LOVES to work OUTSIDE. It's is peaceful place, his excitement, and the place where he feels successful. So, what does he DO when he KNOWS he's gonna be mowing, trimming, building in a dangerous area? HE PRAYS THAT GOD WOULD PROTECT HIS SKIN. I've only seen a handful of bumps on him, since 2008. You guys do what's best for YOU. I just had to give God the glory for protecting him. Be good, don't work too hard. Watch out for this FLYIN' STINGIN' MACHINES!! God bless you!

Less worry about it in the wind or rain storms.

You two are fantastic.
Your property is beautiful and getting more so as you go along! Love watching your videos! God bless. 💖

I know what you got, but you brother has it. I won't spill the beans ! Until after it is announced ! I know nothing ! :) keep up the great work you are doing ! So much to do ! You are chipping away at it !
😉🥰
You should get a screen tent and a croquet set so you can have fun .
Glad you didn't get the poison ivy. Love watching progress
Something to check off your “to do” list every video. It’s fun watching your dream become reality. Keep up the good work.
Just a thought to mark your property is to us the medal poles. Painted a bright color.
Great News!
Nice ! Love you guys 👋❤️🙏
